Revamp Enemy Group: Vahzilok (A Dream)
As much as I would love to see higher level and more grotesque Vahzilok (always one of my favourite groups in game), after the Circle of Thorns catastrophe, I don't want them to touch any more groups in game no matter how 'dated' their appearance may be.

What's the big deal with the CoT makeover? They took stuff that looked old and boring..and made it new and interesting, how dare they! All that crap in the threads about how the colors didnt go together according to an 'art' rules, or something. The only problems I saw was the PINK death mages, that still look much better.
To the Vahz idea..I would love to see it to. Some more varied zombies, since for a mad doc, Dr V sure keeps to a strict formula on how his minions look. They did a great job with the Tsoo and BP. The only downside I can think of is level 50+ toxic damage!
The new CoT don't look bad, though. It's just a not very subtle look that didn't really fit their original group image. But I think after that massive **** storm the devs learned a thing or two from it, considering we got updated Tsoo and Banished Pantheon in the new DA arcs, and they still looked the same but only got slight changes. Even had women introduced to both groups, and they looked like they fit right in.
As to OP, I kind of like seeing certain enemy groups stay in their level ranges. It doesn't make too much sense to have someone like Dr. Vhazilok or the Outcasts in the big leagues with Arachnos and the 5th Column. Plus it takes away from that awesome story arc where you actually defeat Dr. Vhazilok in his lair and put a stop to his creations. His group also does a pretty good job of looking really good despite their age, what with the exposed muscle on zombies, grotesque and unhygienic doctors, and the doctor himself being a true walking horror show.

I happen like the new CoT, they can only do the remade (Vahzilok) even better!
To be fair, I think they need to revamp genuine eye-sores like the Trolls, Outcasts, Hellions, Skulls and such first. The Vahz at least look unique.
GG, I would tell you that "I am killing you with my mind", but I couldn't find an emoticon to properly express my sentiment.

The new CoT that we ended up with look quite nice.
The Catastrophe mentioned is what the CoT revamp originally proposed. As nothing ever seems truly gone from the internet, I'm sure a few pictures of what the Circle was originally going to look like are still sitting around someplace... let's just say that the 'Circle of Thorns' in those pictures forgot their robes, and we are all sadder for seeing them in just their bodysuits.

They remedied that "catastrophe" before it even went live so I don't know what you're talking about. The CoT also isn't the only revamped enemy group now, we now have new Banished Pantheon and Tsoo (and Knives of Artemis, kinda-sorta). This is what I'm suggesting, not really a wholesale revamp of the original group like the CoT but rather additional mobs encountered in the endgame.

What you're proposing, though, sounds like something more in the Banished Pantheon direction, and it sounds amazing.

I'm actually less fond of the new BP. The female members look so out of place. I mean, the Tsoo additions work. Know why? Because the Sorceresses have the same hat and the same belt, they fit seamlessly into the Tsoo style. Same with the other girls, they all have the tattoos and other Tsoo parts.
The BP noticably don't. That style of loincloth? The big, feather boa collar things? Nope, none of that. They look like something thrown together randomly and with the BP chest detail slapped in. Also, where the heck did the addiction to the bio-lum pieces come from? Seriously.

Thanks for the sarcasm. Point I was making is it kind of just ruins the taste of victory and progress heroes get of actually managing to stop a credible threat and save the day if he's just gonna come back later on with a "bigger and better plan".

Not to mention the eleventy-jazillion plots of Nemesis...

I don't want to see the Vahzilok continue on through the 20s and 30s. What I want for the good doctor is to make a comeback in the 40s with a brand new, VERY different contingent of monsters. No longer just trying to cure death, but rather "improve" mankind, Vahz has been biding his time and producing a whole new kind of super human - bigger, stronger, faster, smarter. No mere lumbering oafs too stupid to breath, these new creatures are vicious, deadly and very intelligent, collaborating together to form their own brand new race with Dr. Vahzilok at the helm.
If people are too stupid to accept the cost of eternal life, then it's simpler to replace them with something better, right?

If Masterminds didn't suck, they'd be the most powerful AT in the game.

Last night I had a dream where I was playing CoH, although I was half-playing and half-actually as the character (you know, one of those dream things). It was my Ill/Storm Controller, inexplicably a recently-made character street-sweeping in what I can only assume was Kings Row. I wanted to get a starter apartment (which I guess was a game option, basically like a base), so I went into this building that was filled with Vahzilok. Long story short I ended up being chased down a stairwell by the Vahzilok hoard, desperately trying to hold/confuse them one at a time, until I was saved by Adam Scott from NBC's Parks & Rec (yeah, I don't know either). Later he ended up showing me this place where you could get a base set up and it was right next to everything you needed (trainers, auction house, crafting stations).
ANYWAY
My point is that the Vahzilok in my dream looked sort of like what we currently have in-game, only a lot more varied, and a lot weirder-looking. Grotesque creatures composed of a few disparate body parts (a head with arms and legs, for example), that sort of thing. With the advent of Incarnate-level versions of enemy groups, I'd like to see an upgraded Vahzilok somewhere down the line. Not content with his current progress, Dr. Vahzilok has turned to new ways of raising an undead army, perhaps mystical and/or Well-derived sources (fallen Incarnates risen to do his bidding, perhaps?).
