Since i made my Crab Spider Nephila in 2010, it seems like the VEATs are making a comeback.

Yes, we are a welcome force on any team and league, but imagine this...
an 8 (wo)man team filled with just VEATs!
Imagine the carnage, the buffs and the fun!

So, without further hesitation, i am glad to announce:

Our 1st Weekly All VEAT Event (W.A.V.E.) officially planned for February 4th 2012 at 6pm PST/ 9 pm EST!

1st up 'The Fire and the Flames' by Mortimer Kal in Sharkhead Island, level 20-40.

I love to remake my namesake, problem is he is founder of my SG.
It's also the reason i don't like to do a global handle/forum rename.

I don't really use him, but he is and will always be the leader of the SG, my 1st 50 and i think it's nostalgia that i'm holding on to him.

Ok, i have been waiting for about 5 months now on my 2 year veteran badge.
CS say they can give me the badge, but with the next server maintenance it would be deleted.

The worst part: I don't see this brought up by the Devs, AT ALL.
No "Sorry guys, we're working on it." And i think that i'm not alone in this.

So please, could a Dev/Red-Name chime in and say what the status is of this bug?

What is the thought behind this question?

Is like Trainers doing Tailor things now.. there is an Icon for it.
Same as setting the badge title.. just look it up on the 'Collect > Badge' window.

best use Kismet in the ranged def only toggle (Combat Training: Defensive), and don't pick TT:Offensive, better pick up Tactic from the leadership pool.

My crab has dual Maneuvers, dual Tactic and dual Assault.

I'd like a chopper....

But, i don't think the next will be a motorcycle tho.

I noticed the hints in a few Dev made articles about the Magic Carpet, but right now.. i did not see any hints.

I have a feeling that the rocketpack will be one... i know it is a temp power already. Just redesigned for the Si-Fi pack that they are working on.

1st time i used the LFG Queue up was the 1st day it came out, the 1st few minutes of me being logged in.
I got in the mission, we got slaughtered, we all quit.
That was also the last time i used the LFG queue that way.

The way most on our server use it, just like a contact.
Form Leagues in PD. Thi way we'll see the toon people bring to the table, and the ones with more toons can be asked to switch to something we need atm.
Once we are set, the leader queues up and voila.

Now that we can do any TF, kinda makes me think that the contacts will be neglected or might even be removed.

I for one, will not use the queue for a blind team up to do a TF, i learned my lesson.
If i want to do a Manticore TF, i'll go to Manticore and start forming a team or wait join someone who is forming one, same with any other TF i want to do.

How i got my Rep badge?
I'm a hero, more heroes on my server so i went to Warburg.
Offered some inf if people would help me out. I had a friend with 3 accounts in there, and 4 others just standing in line. Most didn't even want the inf.
Took me 3 sessions of a few hours doing it, got 4 PvP recipes which i shared the profit with the person who it dropped from.

Then a friend asks me if i can help him with his Rep badge.

He's a Rogue, so we went to RV.
Standing at a HAVS Terminal, just either using wakies or going to my base.
He killed me as fast as he could, helping me with the 250 HAVS badge, trying to get him drops, and he got 6 Rep per kill till he got to 360Rep himself.
At that point we called for help, and we had some showing up to do so.

It took him about 3 sessions of a few hours to get the Rep badge too, while helping me get my 250 HAVS badge the fastest way known to mankind :P (If you have /Auctionhouse makes it easier to get wakies.. i don't have it, but my friend does.)

I'm a gamer by heart.
I grew up with 2 Xboxes and bought well over 200 games in a few years time.
Something happened, and i lost all of it.

A few years down the road, working for the Government, i bought a laptop.
A few months later, gaming is pulling me into Gamestop, where i see the AE Edition of City of Heroes. Looking at the box, i become curious, playing a super hero and create your own content? yeah, i'll try that.
Got home booted it up, and.. wait, what? Online only? MMO? Uhm.. ok.. what ever.. i'll use the free trial to see what it is. (Game was $15,- with a two week trial, normally Xbox games are about $40-$60 with a two week lifespan for me :P) It took me nearly two hours before i was sent to Justice Server's Port Oaks.. and that was just creating my very 1st toon.
Did a little street sweeping, oh hey, contact.. did a mission, went to bed.

Next day i logged back in, picked Guardian and wondered why my toon wasn't there. (Blame the noobishness of not knowing the difference between servers) Started a new toon, took again about two hours to make a Hero this time, loaded into AP and there it was.... People? and lots of them?
I remember one of my 1st nights to try and get people to dance under Atlas.. looking back at that.. what a noob..lol
Within days i got hooked to the game. Such diversity in costumes, in AT's in.. well.. everything.

The Guardian server community is great (can't speak for other servers since i only play on Guardian), and i think that is one of the reason i keep coming back every day... my friends.

A game can be great, with the best missions, the best graphics, the best content and the best support... but if the people playing it are disrespectful, not helpful and just don't want to team up, i'm gone.

CoX is my 1st, and still only MMO i actually logged into. I can't imagine me leaving for a long time.

-We have a great character creator tool.
-We have Devs that care about their player base. (IDC what you say, they DO)
-We have customer support that keeps improving and doing their best to help. (Again.. YES they DO)
-We have several sites to find so much information about the game, making it easier to find a solution for a problem.
-We have a great community, we care about each other, and we care about the game.
-We find our home server, make friends.. and they become family.

And this is my reason why CoX is so good!

i got my Points a week late this month, while i got my Token a few days early >.<

-Paperbag head option (Look at 90's New Orleans Saints fans for inspiration.)
-Hospital gown
-bandage, band-aid, cast options for head, arms, body, legs and/or feet.
-Front/back baby carrier (Hangover (Movie) & Cable (Comics))
-Conjoined Twins, Tumor (Hellboy 2)
-Fart, Poop, Pee pants emote
-Drunk, throw up emote
-Aim pistol, pull trigger, flag (Bang) comes out, toon looks at gun and gun explodes emote.

Yeah this certainly gives me some thinking issues as in who to bring to the public funeral, if there is one, and i think most hope there will be one. (Would be nice if a Red Name chimed in on this.)
Either my 1st 50, namesake, founder of the Freedom Legion SG named Dark Energon. Or the toon i have been playing for the last year and a half, the best toon i have and the toon that most know on the server, my Crab Spider named Nephila.

If anyone else is having this 'problem', please let me know your train of thoughts regarding this.


PS: Yes, my toons will remove their capes for a period of mourning, and a sign of respect.. like Statesman did for Hero 1 and the Omega Team.

We need to promote someone from within the Freedom Phalanx to be the new leader, but that will still leave a hole to be filled. We have plans to fill that hole with a character submitted by a community member in a contest. We did this prior to launch and picked Numina to be one of the Surviving Eight, and we'd love to do this sort of thing again. We'll have more details on that in the coming months, but suffice it to say that your character has a chance at making into the official game lore as a member of Paragon City's signature supergroup.
