  1. They make us twist necks and backs into unnatural positions, but won't let us write **** on the forums because it would be obscene! The horror...the horror!
  2. Leveling a Bane was one of the most fun experiences I've had in the game. Toxic Mace Stalker? Yes, please!

P.S. Huntsman is basically a Crab with Lethal damage instead of Energy/Smashing. Meh!

Yes. She's almost unrecognizable in her role on Pan Am.
  5. I soloed through the old Positron TF in Ouroboros on my MA/SR Scrapper. The minimum team requirement it used to have seemed completely superfluous, as there was nothing there that you don't see in standard soloable content.

Purples are not a panacea (small "p"). They are only as good as the bonuses they provide and if your build goals include those bonuses.
  7. The Defense does stack with any existing Defense you may have. The IO itself can only be slotted once, however, so you won't be stacking multiples of it.
  8. Did the rules state it should be an action shot or were people just assuming that?

    Bs/sr

Well with BS/SR you can skip Parry and get better DPS out of Broadsword than other sets that depend on Parry can get. That's one good thing about the combo.
  10. After November 14 the purchasable IOs featured will be removed from the market? That makes it impossible to plan their use. And the price is still higher than it should be (ideally, they should be around 25-50 cents each).

Lower the price more and make them a permanent addition to the store and I can see myself buying them. Under current conditions, I pass.
  11. I support removing the phase timer from Ice Armor Tankers, and removing phases from PvP entirely.

So take it one step at a time, definitely.
I approve of Enhancements being sold in the Store. My only complaint is they are too expensive. They should be priced at a point where it's realistic to fill a build out with them. To me, that means a price of 25-50 cents each.

I don't think marketeers are too worried about this. Plenty of people will get them for "free" from the market still. If any marketeers are upset by this, they can take a flying leap. I want options. I don't want the market to be the only realistic source of IOs. I say sell them all. If reasonably priced, I'll buy.

P.S. Anyone worried about pay to win, that ship has already sailed. This game has a strong pay to win aspect to it ever since Freedom launched. The Incarnate system being pay-only is at the very heart of it. I don't mind it at all.

    Marketing

Two things need to be reevaluated about the store: the "something every week" policy (it's been working out pretty poorly so far, and it's a purely self-imposed rule. There's no need to have it.) and the pricing (people in beta said prices would be decreased on live...THEY WERE WRONG! Most stayed the same and some, incredibly, WENT UP!).

And please don't tell me we aren't getting personal bases. I NEED my personal bases! I don't CARE if another game got it first!
  14. Most Psi attacks have a position, so when it comes to overall Psi SR is the better set (even without scaling resist for Psi). Some very annoying things like Carnie Ring Mistress' Mask of Vitiation is Ranged, so you'll be eating that on Invulnerability but avoiding it more often than not on SR.

That said, Invulnerability has more upward potential and can be considered an all-around stronger set. SR, being the Golden Fox, gets to a midpoint very quickly but then stays there, where Invulnerability will be squishier early in its career but outpace SR ultimately.

Because random is random, there will be times where an Invulnerability Tanker will go down but the SR Tanker will keep on going. The beauty of the set to me is it is so often more than the sum of its parts. Of course, you will also face the opposite situation. Random is random.

And getting softcapped on SOs is really a treat. Leaves all your IO bonuses open for things like +HP, Regen, you name it. You're much freer with your IOing options than you are with Invulnerability.

And hey, SR is new to Tankers. You've probably played Tanker Invulnerability already, maybe even a lot. SR is a brand new experience.

Both sets are solid, I like them both a lot (though SR is my favorite, Invulnerability is a comic book classic and a great set too). You really can't go wrong choosing one or the other. Take SR if you want something new and different. Invulnerability if you want maximum upward potential and a bit more ruggedness.
  15. It strikes me another reason to play a Stalker is to get a second slightly different take on a primary or secondary you like.

Say you played an Electric Melee Brute and want to roll another ElM character because you like the set so much. Rolling a Stalker would be a good pick because you get the same set, but slightly altered so you get a new take on it instead of just playing the same set verbatim to 50 again.
  16. Name purges are proven to not solve the problem, especially in the long term. Support non-unique naming to alleviate the name-crunch permanently.

As a fan of villains, this pleases me. Good. Gooood!

For my game mechanical design of gameplaying challenges, this seems like a far more interesting way to achieve the necessary "Uniqueness" that the Stalker AT is currently lacking. You wouldn't even need to change the current game mechanic of Stalkers having a 10% Crit +3% Crit per Teammate within 30 ft that the AT already has. The whole point of this change is to better leverage the existing Hide Mechanics so as to bolster the unique playstyle that the Stalker should have and encourage. Stalkers would *flicker* in and out of Hidden status somewhat constantly while in combat, and attentive players (who aren't just button mashing) would be able to take advantage of that to achieve better results ... ie. Player Skill is Rewarded.

The beauty of it is that this change wouldn't even be "that difficult" to implement. All the necessary parts and pieces of Game Engine Tech already exist within the game. It's just a matter of someone like Second Measure "liking the idea" and deciding to put it on the schedule for someone like Synapse or Black Scorpion or Arbiter Hawk to implement.
That's very interesting! I'd love to see it tested.
  19. Brute Kinetic Melee is much better than most forumites will have you believe, and Hasten has never been necessary, most of all these days when you can IO for its average effect without a power pick, Slot consumption or Endurance drain.

    Sokath, his eyes uncovered.
  20. I hope this never happens because teams will start requiring you to turn off Knockback.
  21. And they say you can't beat the game. Clearly, the OP has.

Maybe it's just me, but killing 100 summoned Illusionists to get the Carnie hammer and 200 Family bosses to get the +HP accolade isn't what I call fun. I'd happily buy those options so I can use them to do things in game I do consider fun with them.

The Rocket Board is the single most overrated item in the store, IMHO. The cool factor for it is very high, but when the inconvenience, strong theme and cost of it are factored in, it doesn't look very good at all. Exactly the kind of thing you see "everyone" using the first week, then a year later you "never" see it again.
  24. And some people are worried that Illusion would be overpowered on Doms lol.
