Congrats to the winners!

I'm a bit disappointed though since I figured "fight crime in style" means having a picture of the toon fighting crime...and not just standing around...

I would have to agree with Ion on this one, lot of players had really good fighting crime photos and I didn't see one of them chosen. And the sure to win Zyphoid wasn't even mentioned, and shigmiya64 was completely forgotten. Had influence going on both of them to win. Out 700 million now.

As much as I wanted mine to place.... Zyphoid got friggen robbed! He entry is only 3 posts underneath the grand prize winning entry and it's easily the best costume design there.

Anyway, congrats to those lucky enough to get something out of the contest.

..

I'd disagree but...taste is subjective...or is it, beauty is in the eye of the beholder?

I'm an artist, so my opinion holds more weight than most.

I am just kidding, of course.

Yeah, it sucks that I didn't win. Is what it is though, congratz to those who did.

I wanted to thank those who have complimented the costume I did enter though. It takes some of the sting of not winning out of it. There were several others who I also thought would place and didn't.

"So, how do you enter for a chance to win these awesome prizes? Simply reply to the comment thread below with a screenshot (please use a thumbnail if it is too large!) of your most snazzy looking Hero or Villain, preferably in an action pose, such as fighting crime or flying through the city. Please only post one image of your character."

Most of these winners are doing none of that, they are not fighting crime or "flying through the city" they are at most walking, or simply standing there. Congrats to the winner, but I feel all of us who actually went to the trouble of making an action shot, got cheated.

They simply stated they would prefer to see action shots, not that it was a requirement. And as for going through the trouble of making an action shot, in this game it isn't much trouble at all to take screen shots while in action. It takes a far longer time picking which one of the dozens (and that is probably on the low end for most players) of fantastic costumes you can build from the milions of options.

Congratulations to all the winners. I'm jealous of not having a free year of subscription, but happy to not have the discussion with my wife about getting my hair cut before the holidays with a vacuum cleaner.
