  7. On a dynamic ISP issued IP it is worse, especially if players end up authorizing every one of their IP addresses.

    Worse if they are new players authorizing a college or net cafe network IP set, anyone looking over their shoulder who gets allocated their network IP via a dynamic ISP DHCP will only need to login as now.

    This security change only makes it harder for 'Genuine' customers.

    I have suggested a solution to tech support but they went and merged it with an unrelated issue...

    If I understand what Zombie Man was getting at, it was refering to his idea for a booster pack which made all earned aniversary badges global, and added some Veteran time to your account. (Probably 3 or 6 months worth.)

    Or have an increasing cost for each additional purchase (3 month boost option.)

    Personally I already suggested making the Aniversary Badges Global and several minipacks based on event costume pieces, NOT the event badges just the costumes.

    But I could get behind a 1 time (3 month) veteran reward bump.

    Anyway back to your regular test patch notes feedback...
  11. IIRC there was a CoH minipatch you could install if you already had the launcher for another NC game to make the existing CoH compatible.

    This may be the cause of some of the issues...
    I think it patched the launcher executables to actually support the NC launcher.

    Edit: For Alexander_Drako
    After installing the basic launcher "NCSoftLauncherSetup.exe" try running the "COH_Installer.exe" to patch your game to work with the launcher.
    It patches the CoX executables to work with the NClauncher rather than loop into the older launcher, this is where you are having the problem IIRC.

    Note: "COH_Installer.exe"
    Will try to patch the game (City of) if it finds it or will install the NClauncher to install the game if it doesn't.

    The patch to the game (City of) will only happen if it (COH_Installer.exe) can find the NCLauncher executable if it can find it, if it can't then it won't patch anything, hence causing this issue for players with "City of" already installed but not the NClauncher.

    If you know you have the game installed but not the NClauncher, get the "NCSoftLauncherSetup.exe" and run it before the "COH_Installer.exe"

    Hope this helps solve this additional issue.

  13. I'd suggest the Devs add 100% immunity to an NPC and block any of said NPC's PBAoE Damage auras with 100% Damage suppression whilst they are in the captured state.
    (Maybe use 1000% or 5000% instead of the 100% to guarantee this would work.)

    So a captured NPC will do no damage and recieve no damage until rescued.

    Fellow forumites and Devs, do you think this would this fix these issues?

  15. Remember you can also look at a double cost dual build, 1 with team bubbles (and maybe recall/medicine pool/leadership pool), other with a solo build.

    This way you get the best of both options, at least once you have both.

    Switching builds is then just a matter of visiting a trainer...

  19. If we have multiple game accounts (or trials) on the same nc master account
    can't they give us the option for a combined (master) global for these accounts?

    So any pm's shown as Private Messages as against Private Messages, are classed as unread.

    What if a player has accounts on both systems with the same account name/global?

    Do they get a combined account name/global or are they stuck with two separate account/globals?

    (This to some extent should be avoidable by checking clashes with the master account.)

    Will out of subscription NA accounts that have been inactive for over 30 days count against the EU players making them name change?
  23. Had this bug in a Rogue tip mission on my stalker,
    Target was Wyvern and a Glowie in a sewer,
    On getting the Glowie, it triggered a Longbow and PPD ambush.
    Was fun staying hidden watching Wyvern, Longbow and the PPD slugging it out.
    Especially when they completed the mission for me.

    IIRC the bug is something to do with the NPC faction info.
