  1. Easy one - does Powerboost affect the range boost given by Boost Range? If so does anyone know by how much?

    Have looked in various /energy guides but not seen anyone confirm one way or another.

  2. Works a charm in Stamina. Tbh putting it elsewhere will be a less effective use (imho). I crunched the numbers on this a while back, and one of these beauties will *on average* (that's important) yield the same as having another unslotted Stamina power.

    I tend now to 4 slot Stamina, 3 standard End Mod IOs and one of these procs. I can then happily spam away!

  4. All for this, sounds like a reasonable solution to "normalise" the armour (note the needed "u" ) with the others in the set, and with other powers in general.

    If I'm interpreting this correctly, this would mean we wouldn't change size (notably) when toggling Granite, lots of little Rubbles running around - yay!
  5. Thanks muchly for the comments - I'll have a little play with the build and see what's I can do. Certainly its a very tight build slot wise which I tend to find means its full of lovely powers.
    Had totally forgotten the Mu Guardian is a nice little healer though - doh!

    So having just wrapped up a Widow (and that was a LOT of fun), I'm thinking of rolling this Dominator as my next Red-side attempt. I already have a 50 Grav/Psi but fancied trying a Dom again, post the recent changes.

    I'm looking for a mix between reasonable solo-ability but mainly useful in the small, regular team I often play with.

    Ability to knock the smile of the AVs I encounter also a plus!

    For now I've just IO'd the build (with the exception of the +End Proc which I tend to put on all my toons - hate running out of blue!), my thoughts are to go down the res rather than def route, given the low HP of the Doms but I'd welcome thoughts on that or any other aspect of the build.

  7. I'm not taking a side here (it looks way too dangerous both sides of this fence I'm perching on!) but if you wanted to stop (or at least deter) farming how about this:

    Limit the max amount of inf a player can earn within a 24 hour period on any ACCOUNT (rather than toon). Note I say inf not XP. I think there's a subtle distinction between PL-ing toons (which doesn't really harm others) and farming for inf / drops, which does harm others as it is adversly affecting the in-game economy.

    As to what this limit should be - high. I'd suggest the Devs would work out the amount a player could theoretically earn by "normal" playing say 20 hours in a day (got to allow for the obsessives), multiply it by 1.5 and that's your cap.

    CoH is pretty much the only game I play, I'm looking to replace my desktop with a laptop to save on space etc and was looking for any recommendations you may have for something suitable. Thinking in the region of £2000 as the max budget.

    Even considering the Mac Airbook / Pro but that would be a step away from the familiar and it sounds like the Mac client is not without its issues.

    Union "Legends"

    I'll add a couple to the list here, players that I've been teaming with for over 3 years now and have done well over 600 levels together now!

    KittyHellfire - for being crass, crazy, defiant but loyal to the death

    Mister - for being probably the best player I know (PvE - we don't tend to PvP much... yet) and for being laid back always! (unless he runs out of beer).

    DC - gone (?) but not forgotten

    We always run a full team, making up the rest with what we lovingly call "Randoms" or "Sparky Specials" due to my unnerving knack of inviting some really "interesting" people onto our teams!

    Love the idea of the Legends Arcs, very much looking forward to doing some Themed ones myself - certainly will be looking to Union Lore for inspirations, both individuals and also some of the SGs

    Finally - because everyone really should - I'll add another mention for Mothers Love. Always the model of politeness and helpfulness we could all learn from Mummys example!

  13. Agreed - seemed much better by yesterday evening - K do we know if something was fixed at NOC? Personally I'm always uncomfy when a problem "magically" goes away! (even in a world of magic and superheroes!)

    Out of interest, any of the Defiant guys notice any issues there?

    If Defiant was OK but Union wasn't then this was clearly either:
    a) a plot by the evil Defiantites
    b) a Nemesis plot
    c) the Union hamster having some kind of stroke.

    Agree with you Kitty, been suffering the same all weekend, understand that NOC are looking into it but it seems odd that tech should be reduced at weekend, as you say this is when the usage is no doubt highest.

Agree this is still an issue this morning, occurs both inside and outside missions, both on heroes and villains (I'm only on Union so don't know if the Deviant boys and girls are affected also) Have raised ticket 080808-001250, all requested data and attachments sent over. Please advise as this is really quite annoying

Not sure if this is relating to the same internal sync K but people on Union at least are experiencing odd "lag" where its taking between 0.5 and 1 sec before a power starts to activate, accompanied by occasionally jerky movement... is anything still being run on the server that might be slowing her up?

    Was teaming with a couple of villains earlier (we were all lvl 22) and they had what I can only assume was a temp power. It created a column of smoke with like a crescent moon image in it for a couple of seconds - no buff in the power list or anything, just looked good.

    I asked how they got it and they said it was related to Midnighters Club but were pretty elusive about details - anyone know this and how to get it?

  21. Wonderful idea for a thread. Lets see if I can exercise the ol creative muscle a second....

    <ul type="square"> [*]AH GUI - Change it so we get 2 windows. One for Salvage, one for everything else. If nothing else I think you'll find if you link the windows to separate search tables on your AH server it'll decrease the strain caused by all the searches looking over *all* items. [*]AH GUI 2 - When looking at a Recipe Detail, give us a button that executes a search for all items required by that item so we can review prices and buy all needed bits much easier - massive increase to efficiency here. [*]Could we possibly get a harder setting than Invinc? I'd even settle for something that offered no further XP bonus over Invinc but which made it more challenging. The game *can* and I emphasise can, be too easy on a strong/experienced team.[*]Tough one this but would it be possible for the game to dynamically alter the drop rates of items based on the demand level at AH? this should help avoid issues where "common" salvage becomes crazily overpriced and "rare" salvage is sold for peanuts (not very expensive peanuts at that!) [*]This one bugs me - can we change the player search function so it tells you the powersets of a player as well as thier AT? I know there's a risk of people discriminating against, for example, Storm defenders over Empaths, but in honesty, there are times where you legitimately need more healing power, and there are times where you want the amazing control that storm offers (in the right hands ) [*]Again on the search page, could we try and come up with a way to make people set their status? When looking for more team members, I always go for people who've set to "looking for any/mission etc" preferentially over those who don't bother, perhaps have a small popup when you log a toon in that asks you to set your status (without a default!).
