as far as i know there nothing like hero build for base, all i can give you is this site for info on size, cost and what can go in it Base guide info
plus have the fun to design the base yourself, is you feel you done something great and you can't really tell someone what you want as chat don't show up as you make a base
Actually, pressing the C or the / button brings up the chat window again.
It overlays the build item list, until you click on the list, and vice versa.
But you can chat while base building.

i havent found any good way of doing out of the editer apart from using the site rot gave a few posts up and a peace of paper and pen its a little more work but it dose work

The editor is clunky true and some items you make from salvage can be deleted (thus wasting the salvage) but generally you can't lose too much by deleting stuff...
It's not the best interface but it's not likely you will break it irrevocably so don't stress (too much)

Umm... I've thought about posting this a few times but always held off as I'm not sure how useful it would be. Its something I knocked up in excel at work a while back to help us plan the D&VS base

You'll definitely need macros enabled - feel free to virus check it first but I do have Kasperspky running at this end so should be good and safe.

Thanks. We're only a small SG and I'm always interested in getting the most out of the base, while making sure it still looks good, so this might be of use.
I've downloaded a copy and when I get a spare minute I'll have a look at it.
Does anyone know of any base planners out there, as editing a base live can be a tricky thing and causes a load of hastle if it goes wrong. Something that took into account prestige needed, size of plot, size of objects to be placed inside etc.
If one doesn't exist, is there anyone clever out there who fancies designing one?
