It's been a while, but... shameless bump with a question. Why Resuscitate? Wouldn't, say, Seeker Drones or Vengeance or pretty much anything else be more useful?
-
"roflmao such the noob lol" when I turned down a blind invite the other day.

There you go, OP, just wait until I13 hits and you'll be beating prisoners and taking bribes just like the real PPD cops.
[/ QUOTE ]That's the RIP, not the PPD. -
When a Mastermind levels up in combat, the pets should automatically upgrade in level as well, instead of remaining as they are until dismissed and re-summoned.
If this isn't possible, it'd be nice if they at least got the Level Up tier 3 Inspiration megabuff that players get, along with the MM. -

ThanksMy only issue is acro. Is it needed as steadfast is already in tough? And i dont think i will need the extra damage of Quills.
[/ QUOTE ]Quills + the damage aura for the secondary is among the main attractions of the Spines/Fire or Spines/Dark combos. I got me a Spines/Fire to 50 myself recently. -
Short Circuit and Dull Pain or Healing Flames (Healing Jolts?) to my Elec/Elec Brute, to primary and secondary respectively.

I'd probably accept, actually. I already try to tie most of my characters to the game lore (hence why most of my villains have been based on existing enemy groups), so this would be quite an honor. Sure, it'd be sad not to be able to SMASH stuff or RP on the Colonel anymore, but as long as he'd be one pain-in-the-backside of an AV to defeat, I'd be happy.
[Edit] Getting all those badges again on another toon would be a pain though! -
You can actually use Group Fly on a MM successfully, it's got a little trick to it. Set yourself to Follow (the F key on default keybindings) on one of the pets, then use the GoTo command to tell your pets where to go. This way you'll keep them in the AoE.

Completely outrageous idea: Put portals to Cimerora and the Rikti War Zone into Pocket D.

fully upgrade all in combat
[/ QUOTE ]I'm not talking about a full wipe (lol?), I'm talking about losing one or two pets, which was easier to replace with the old system.
Only one of the two upgrades is 45 end. The other one, I can't recall how much it costs at the moment. Re-summoning the pet itself costs 19.5 end. These are all unenhanced, yes (though I honestly can't spare an endred slot for the pet summon power...), but in an in-combat situation you won't have full end anyway, and this'll leave you gasping and wheezing from just replacing the suicidal arsonist.
Basically, this change would discourage me from replacing pets, because I'd have to carry around a full tray of blues (I'm /Dark Miasma, which means I'm active in combat, and my endurance is just about balanced on live at the moment). That, or take an endurance-rest break whenever I lose a pet, which would be much more annoying than the initial set-up phase ever was. (Which could either be done on the run, or you could just enter the mission first and do it while waiting for others anyway)
Again, just for emphasis - I'm not talking about the initial set-up, nor am I talking about a full wipe (how often does that happen anyway?). I'm talking about a lucky shot or two taking out one or two pets.
A pox upon whoever suggested this. -
This is a horrible change. Not because of the change to PBAoE, but because of the Endurance Cost change. The second upgrade alone costs 45 Endurance. While this will be an improvement to set-up in the beginning of the mission... have fun re-summoning and re-upgrading in combat, especially if you play anything squishier than Robotics. Keeping fingers crossed that they use the code they used for [Repel] to make it scale up endurance costs based on how many pets actually benefit from the upgrade... if it's possible.

Question: If you used Detonator (Traps, level 38) on a Necromancy pet, would you be able to extract the soul?
-
Which is still weird, because Lost, story-wise, are Science Origin.
-
I already had all the Invul passives on my Tanker. This will just make him that little bit more awesome.

"Soon".
Can't wait til people are allowed to talk about PPP changes. -

We will, however, be launching the beta phase for the new forums here in Europe in the next few days.
[/ QUOTE ]FloatingFatMan will be thrilled. -
Basically, to walk at the same speed with different leg lengths, you'd need to take longer or shorter strides - you don't just move your legs faster. This would be complicated.

Hm, by the sounds of it human form is only good for buffing the other forms, then? :/ While I do want to experience the most of the AT that I can, I was kind of hoping it wouldn't necessarily mean I'd spend 90% of the time without being able to see my costume. I understand that Nova Form is great for pure damage, but would it be useful to fight in Human form in some situations for an extended amount of time, as well? And to invest into Human form powers in terms of slots and the like, as well?

Tbh, you don't need to dip into the fighting pool on a spines/fire. Just with plasma and fire sheild on, you have a 70%-ish (With 3 res IOs) resistance to smashing, lethal and fire damage
[/ QUOTE ]No you don't. Fire Shield has a base Resistance value of 22.5% on Scrappers, 3 SOs will boost that to roughly 37% Smashing/Lethal resistance. Capping Fire Resistance (75%) is easy though, as you have 3 sources for that. -
So I'm slowly but surely pushing towards 50 on a hero - my first Hero above level 36, in fact, currently almost level 41 - and I inted to make a Warshade upon hitting 50.
Now, I intend to make a WS with all the AT-defining powers - all forms, fun things to do to corpses (Unchain Essence, Stygian Circle, the corpse explosion thing), the whole works. However, as I've never actually played a WS before, don't know the powers well and so on, I'd just like some advice from more experienced people.
Any generic tips would be good - Are there any particularly great or particularly rubbish powers? I know Sunless Mire and Eclipse are good, but that's about all I know.
What kind of playstyle does the Human form have and what powers should I aim for?
How hard is it to slot and what should I focus on?
Can I tank TFs with the Dwarf reliably?
Anything else I should definitely know in advance?
I suppose some generic build advice would be alright too, but I'd likely be overwhelmed if someone posts a detailed Mids' build for me or something. Keep it simple, I'm a noob to the Shades. -
Which two of these powers should I grab on mine before TT?
Torrent, Petrifying Gaze, Dark Blast?
Thoughts on all three are varied...
Torrent does KB, which is normally 'eww'. But smartly used it could be good for positioning mobs for tighter AoE madness on indoor maps.
Dark Blast is another ranged attack. On one hand, with Throw Spines and Impale, do I really need another one? On the other hand, it couldn't hurt, could it? Well, technically it could because of Redraw.
Petrifying Gaze is a Hold, which sounds useful... Except for the fact that it won't hold Bosses and I have nothing to stack it with. Anything lower than a boss tends to die too fast. Still, it might be good against Malta Sappers and the like, I guess.
