Ran arc one, witholding full review until I've done the whole thing. Immediate concerns:
Why the bible verses?
Suggest a pass over Rikti dialogue, a lot of it sounds not-so-Rikti.
Arc one rated 4 stars, was going to be 3 until the final mission. There finally was the Evangelionesque mind_!@#$ I was expecting. :P

I purposely held off on bringing in the customs I had cooked up until the last mission, so as to surprise the player. As for the rikti dialogue I'll take a look at it. Sadu'sii does mention that he has a vanguard translator, which is pretty much just an excuse not to write entire mission briefings and clues in Rikti speak. Yeah, it sacrifices immersion, but at the sake of increasing player comprehension.

the problem isn't in clues and mission breifings, but in the in-mission speech. I haven't really encountered much riktiise anywhere else yet. -

You cannot make an escort betray on arrival and then have defeating your former-escort a requirement.

Remember the last thread like this? And the one before? And the one before?
Remember the end-of-beta rikti invasion?
Remember when the level cap was 40? And you had one costume that you were stuck with forEVER! If you messed up you'd have to remake your character.
Remember Perez Park?
Remember Gaffer?
Do I win? -

It also depends on what hairstyle you're using. For some reason they all blend differently. Some are really bad about not wanting to blend properly and you end up looking like you need to re-apply your dye.

Looks very PB.
Only thing that bugs me is the belt... -
*digs through ye olde photobucket account*
I have a couple of Beta Pics from the End of Beta Event.
Multiple gems from up there. Look at all those single-layer costumes! Old armor sets! One-handed katana! Naked Rikti! Oh my!
Our old friend, Raserei.
Old UI, etc. Look, no badges! No tabbed chatbox! Old stone armor! How did we ever survive?
That's all I got. -
I think they both look fine, though the left costume could use better boots/gloves.
Suggestion: every good scrapper needs a "berserker mode" costume. Optionally tied to a tier9 macro. -

We can has NCall pass now plz?

I'm aware this is an advice thread. What is silly is how every costume thread inevitably devolves into flame wars of varying degrees.
I'll phrase it better then. "Chillax, and use some tact, kthx." -
TR = awesome, but if all you've ever played is Cities, there is a bit of a learning curve.
On-Topic: That art is looking awesome so far, DaosX. God I wish TR was going to have official forums. -
My personal rules to remember:
1) Opinions are like [@#$!]holes...they all suck
2) The creator will never have what you need to look how you want. Either learn to work with it, or just find something that looks good and to save your 'real' look for fan-art.
3) DON'T forget your powersets!! They can really affect how you look! There's little more embarassing than to turn on Steamy Mist and discover that you're suddenly running around in "sport" and "bikini2". This also applies to 'critiqueing' other people's attire. See that guy over there with the horrifically bright color scheme? Check to see if he's a dark-armor.
4) Also take your environment into account. Paragon is generally bright and cheery with very high saturation. The Rogue Isles are really dark and dirty and sometimes metallic. Do you want to stand out, or blend in? It's much easier to figure this out in RI. Blend in, use dark colors (I consider this OK if you're a stalker. Being unnoticed is the point, right?). Stand out, dress like a dorky hero. Blue-side is a little more difficult.
And my un-asked-for opinions (gotta fill up my "making people angry" quota):
1) Personally, I hate the player models. Their feet are too small, the waist is set too high, and don't get me started on their necks/faces. No matter how good the textures of a particular costume item are, the model still bugs the hell out of me. So, I find a couple of combinations that make it bearable and use them over, and over, and over. As a result, my login page looks incredibly uncreative. But I'm okay with that.
2) Don't get all caught up on colors when all of your costumes are tights with simple patterns and the occasional ninja or "swimsuit costume". Color's not a magic button. You are not going to look awesome just because you can mix blue and gold.
3) Remember that giving costume advice in-game is just like giving fashion advice IRL. Everyone has an opinion, everyone likes different things, and you're still a bit silly for obsessing over it. -

Sounds interesting, but unless it gets stickied it will likely fall down to the bottom of the forums pretty quickly.

My kin/arch has a "robin hood" like getup.

Capt_Solar:
How is this? (Add an optional mental cape, I do not have a huge model character with access to capes besides the vet shoulder-models).
Good direction? Bad direction? -
Hi.
I have a level 45 katana/regen/speed/darkity scrapper, who has recently aquired the Bone Wings. And now I need a costume for them.
The character in question's highly unoriginal concept/backstory is that he is a teenager/young adult bound to an evil spirit because the Circle of Thorns are eeebil. It's really a bit more involved than that, but I don't wish to bore you.
These are his other costumes. He has five slots, but I'm meh about the other two.
Yes, they're busy. I like modern/manga style. It looks even crazier with the regen auras, hasten, superspeed and superjump. He's like a gothic christmas tree.
Immutable things:
<ul type="square">
*he has to look young-ish, and he has to have black hair.
*The design junk on his chest are scars, not tattoos or paint. The design itself can change.
*Eye aura is the same as the CoT mobs in-game. Because of the posession/binding/omgebilspiritinmyhead. It can stay or go.
*face doesn't really matter much, but I usually use Supernatural13, Face1, Face12, or Young2[/list]
Also:: Unfortunately, the wings hover a few inches from the model's back. D: It makes me very sad panda. It has to be worked with, I suppose.
I am also looking for a simple, no-aura costume for FPS conservation times. Like teaming, TFs, or raids.
I know there's a thread for "costume help" but it's aaaalll the way down there *points below*.... and I'm an attention [censored].
Thank you in advance. -

can't wait for *checks* 18 days from now when I can make some killer swim trunks.
