Kind of becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy, doesn't it? Unless you're on a lower pop server, anything non Virtue or Freedom.

I've found that, when I have the get-up'n'gofor it, that I can still form my own team redside on those two servers most of the time.
  2. Hope you can clear up your problem soon - welcome to the game!
  3. ARISE FROM THE DEAD!

Maybe this is a clue that the "we fix everything" i24 issue actually has some MA fixes as well?
  4. [*]How many characters have you fully incarnated?..............None
[*]How many characters have you incarnated?.....................None
[*]How many characters have you rolled with the intention of making them Full Incarnates?....None.
[*]Do you have any characters that you, for whatever reason, are not going to make Incarnates?
Probably all of them, because I like alting too much and I usually have to restrain myself from making new toons. I of course won't rule any of them out, but none were planned to be incarnated nor do I have solid plans yet to incarbate any of them.

I can understand that many players like end-game content, but it seems like drawing a line and saying "only 50s (and 'up') may cross" is segregating the population - bad idea in a game with low population. More than once on a low-pop server I've logged in and found most zones pretty empty except for Pocket D (no, that wasn't on Virtue! ) or RWZ.
  5. Another MA bug is that allies tend to spill out many of their lines of dialogue the second you set foot on the map. Personally, I think this one's worse than the name filter, but then again, being forbidden from using common words such as "disaster" is a pretty big pain too (had to remove that one from an arc I wrote, yes).

I seem to recall that the timing of the Assassin's Strike with staffs still messed up as well, but I haven't played mine in a bit.
  6. That was pretty cute. I would have liked to see the girl's reaction to what Smith said, too.
  7. You pay - as did we all - to unlock those maps and so on with tickets, not by just being VIP. It's been like this since way back on Day One in the AE, so it's not false advertising.

Yes, you can publish an arc then yank it - paranoid farmers used to do that back in the day to try and avoid getting caught farming.

You have to write your own way through AE with your own character's motivations.
Well described; I imagine the devs hit that wall themselves which is why they went with the red-side they did.
  10. It might not puncture you, but I bet that would leave one freakin' "heck" of a bruise.

I wasn't referring to your list of examples, rather you beginning with "has been done before" and then, um, providing a number of examples with only a forced connection at best (based on my reading of the description given here: http://doctorwhotv.co.uk/tantalising...lips-36106.htm).
  12. How about a few 'disheveled hair' options? Like how on Star Trek: NG, you can almost always tell someone has gone crazy or is about to because their hair is messed up? Or maybe think of it as 'bed head' options.

I assuming we will see another episode with Silurians if this is correct. Having actual dinosaurs in space sounds like something that might have been done with Star Trek since there was an episodes where they transported an alien village to another planet. Doing a Noah's Ark for a doomed primitive planet would make sense if Star Trek had a future series in the 25th Century or beyond.
Let me guess, you're a big fan of TVTropes.com, right?

DfB may have been a near-final nail in the coffin, but I think it was already near death by then due to the unending waves of ambushes and tougher mobs, which lead to the vicious circle of teaming there being harder.
  15. I have no desire to get this power set, but did spend some time considering if I did, who would I make? I remembered a really old character concept I had and never used, a villain named AbstractExressionist: color each power a different color of the color wheel ("roy g biv"), make him look like an artist (beret, white lab coat for a painter's smock, maybe a long mustache or something) and give him a silly battel-cry and bio, stuff like "I just splash zee paint around and I am FamOOS!"

I just have too many characters at this point to make this one...
  16. I was under the impression some dev had said something on the forums here that "there is no cottage rule", like within the last year?

Huh, I used to own that record and didn't recall the song even after listening to the YouTube. Live and learn.

It's a travel power. You can't slot it or anything, but it can often take the place of a "normal" travel power, if your build is tight with choices and slots.

Plus it looks pretty cool, at least to me.
  19. Now I'm wondering what song Tenzhi was thinking of, I'm coming up blank.
  20. Any corruptor with Fire is great, "they" say; my Fire/Traps was pretty solid, so they may be right.
  21. Ninja Run is pretty useful if you don't already have it.
  22. Good question. I think think "cheesy activity book" covers these wanna-be AE missions well enough.

I was looking at the IOs and noticing that they have a picture of a film reel on them, not a summer-related icon of somesort, which got me wondering, maybe they're gonna start setting this up for more than one holiday? If this was avaialble say quarterly, they wouldn't need to add these to the superpacks or anywhere else.

Also got to wondering part 2:

This 'event' is just AE content without the AE building and tickets isn't it?

Imaginary exploits that affect nothing, "just a form of entertainment your character takes part in." Remember how so many people said they disliked the whole idea of AE because it was imaginary holograms? And shouldn't these have been set within the AE building somehow instead? Maybe been part of some drive to help revive and rehabilitate the AE somehow? Of course not, the devs would just as soon forget the AE ever existed, yes I know. Just thinking out loud though....
  24. Something new came to me while I was in Night Ward for the very first time this morning: take a flight power or buy a jet-pack or something and spend some time exploring a zone, just looking at it. I can't think that any zone in this game is 100% bland.

Seconded, I think adding those in was a wise move, I can tell a difference in my early toons' performance.
