  1. Granted, it was for moving effect and foreshadowed far earlier in the film, but John Wayne's death in The Shootist was the definition of a cheapshot.

    He frequently spawns in the air, and seems to have some stealth so he can be hard to spot.

  6. Hhhmmm. I completed a Synapse about this same time, but walked away after quitting the TF for dinner. I had expected my character to afk and then inactive log, but came back to find CoH had crashed.

    Reading the forums I wonder if we were in the same TF (I was playing an elec/ dom name of Myriam).

    Regardless, I just logged in to check and I have both badge and merits awarded successfully.

    Probably, but since they have the powers coded, I suspect they will be 'inherently gained' at certain leveling points... Just dropped them out of the pool, and tie them to level gain - like [ninja run]

    Yes. I agree having it global would be great, even if its just the accolade and crafting table, but with the email system its kinda moot. I now use two accounts at the same time, one shopper emailing the recipes and salvage to the crafter.
    It also drives quite a bit of the baseline market activity - salvage demand and crafted enh supply. Dropping that to account wide would take a bite out of things.

    Energy Manipulator: chance to stun

    I had one drop and slotted it for fun in the mid-late teens. I'm seeing it proc. Haven't decided if it is worth it with all the sleep and hold flying around long term... more than likely pull it at later levels as I decide on final slotting.

    Beyond that, I agree, accuracy and end mod with commons. Set slot to taste

    Montague's arc is a pretty special case. That one is different than a standard mission.

    Bah. Foolishness (so, yeah, mileage does vary). Many played this set with success before inventions were even in the game. Is it easy? No. Does it take some planning and tactics? Yes.
    However, that said, are IOs and IO sets fabulous for Dark Armor, and make it much less intensive to manage? Absolutely yes.

    Yep, one of the few sets that Stamina is mandatory for more than peace of mind. Physical Perfection was an excellent APP add for this also, though that obviously comes late in life.

    Oppressive Gloom is dirt cheap on end - less than 1/4 of a normal toggle cost.

    Great summary on the toggles - the core of Dark Armor is not the problem. It is the heal - and that is a fabulous heal - and Cloak of Fear.

    The Theft of Essence proc is a game changer for Dark Regen. Most of the time, at a minimum, it proc enough in a crowd to balance the cost, and often grants back more than the cost.

    The Cloack of Fear is a dreadful endurance hog and is skippable - though I like it .

    Nice point. I forgot about the damage aura. That is usually the last I pick up with Dark Armor. And always gives me angst - love the ticks and the help with aggro for tanks or brutes. (edit to clarify: last of the auras I grab after passing 24 or so)

    This way your not really wasting slots since once you hit 22 just drop it down to 1 end redux then the extra slots get slotted with damage.
    This is old style fix for Dark Armor and absolutely true. Your attacks are a lot of generally overlook end drain, and standard slotting doesn't quite cut it with Dark Armor. I learned more about endurance management playing this set before inventions than any other power or AT.

    My gut reaction says the ToE proc is the most important, gaming changing choice. However, in a question of applying resources, Dechs is probably correct.

    I'd line the Numina up after that (just cause its a personal fav), and get after a KB protection when able after those, however (if you haven't already), as a nice to have.

    What level range is that one? The level 50 I did the other day as a villain locking in as villain was completely different.

    Not color blind myself, but I support this thought. I have friends who are, and have had supervisors at work that are.

    (That latter can be a hassle in a work environment that promotes red-yellow-green style status indicators for projects.)

    Marauder is very open about his contempt for the PPD, so if the PPD then go out are arrest his girlfriend for being a "Resistance spy", it just looks like a petty attempt at revenge, as they can't touch Marauder himself.

    From a Praetorian law enforcement point of view, what you're doing is totally legal, and it's the internal faction politics that have forced your hand.
