Forgive me if this has already been posted somewhere but I couldn't find it so I have to ask: has video of the PAX panel been posted yet? If so, link please!

Thanks.

Yea, I really appreciate the attempt at catching it on 'film' for us but unfortunately that video makes my ears very unhappy.

I wish someone had a full transcript. The overview of the panel we've received is nice, but I'd like to read, watch, or hear the whole thing.

Damn, I'm gonna try cleaning that audio if no one's done it yet.

Edit: Yeah, that's beyond my paltry knowledge.

Thanks for the attempt. I tried listening to it but had to bail out due to that sound.
I hope there is someone out here that are able to remove that high pitched noise.

...
or someone that can make a transcript

Well I sat through it all, ow my ears. Sometimes I couldn't hear the devs speak because it was muffled, and turning it up just hurt even more so couldn't win lol.

Was it just me or were they all sat in the dark? I knew our devs were creatures of the night who avoided the sun! Must be all that work they do!

I loved all the news they revealed, exciting stuff, especially i20. So eager to find out what that is but I bet it will be HUGE!

My favourite part: Controllers, Dominators and Scrappers are the most popular classes in Praetoria!! I really hope this translates into some more love for the control sets (Gravity) and the buff/debuff sets. I realise they are much trickier to balance but would be awesome nevertheless to get some adjustments.

Yeah, I tried, but just couldn't make it through it...

How does that even happen with a camera/camcorder?

Could be a loose connection somewhere, something vibrating within the case or it could be picking up a background noise that isn't actually noticeable in real life.

I wish the Devs would record these panels and put them online a week later.

The audio is bad but worse is the lack of people. Dragon*Con would have been a better choice for the venue. But then I would have to choose between Skeptrack and CoH Panels.

The high pitched noise is very easy to remove: it's an almost completely pure 7000Hz tone. You can clearly see it on the spectral view:

One single notch filter [7000Hz; -40dB; very narrow] gets rid of that. I also removed some of the background noise [there is a great 5-second sample of just noise at 15 minutes 45 seconds], but the SNR is so low that trying to remove more of it garbles the voices too much for comfort.

Here's the download link for this. It's a free host, ignore the premium stuff and click the download link at the bottom right.

Here's the spectral view afterwards, for comparison:

The sound is still very quiet; applying a hard limiter to boost the input by 10dB brings the voices out a lot more, but the background noise comes back with a vengeance.

And just in case anyone wants it, here is the file with noise reduction cranked to the max. It sounds like you're listening to it through a telephone, but it might be useful for making a transcript. The spectral view for this:

Ugh I tried listening and couldn't stand it even with the fixed audio.

Edit: Not that that is your fault Leo, your fix was more tolerable then the original but I'll still wait for a transcript.
