  1. Well i would say /fire having fire embrace will make it worth it also since claws has low end cost it can only benefit with fire me thinks.

    .
Well If your a shield or ice tank having a dark defender on your team HELPS your defense and survivability more than you might think. Since the chances of getting hit are much much lower.

If your a defense toon, you want team mates with tohitt- debuffs (and lots of them) it will make any mission and any TF/SF just that much easier for you.

Then again its all about how well the person leading knows the game and the other power sets. I would never reject a dark or stormy. And I would ask for one if I was playing a pure defense based toon to be even more uber But hey I can see why a noob would not see it that way.

/my 2 cents on that topic.

In regards to the guide it was very well thought out and I am sure it will help some people. However, I personally lile thermal better as it fits my playstyle more.
  3. I have had many laughs reading this thread.

    Just to sum it up:
PvP zones are No holds barred anything goes zone.
Arena is more structured place to have PvP events/practices that can be held with rules.

If you want RULES then go to the arena. (simple) Note* on justice on Saturdays nights the arena used to be pretty full of events in pocket D. (not sure if it still is since JustJoan has not been in game in a while and would lead various event matches. Maybe you will find some fun there )

But to go deeper to the root of a more disturbing problem, Why are we comparing REAL LIFE stuff in a video game? Come on gimme a break.. go outside get some air or friggin get laid already it will do you some good Life is too short to bicker over this type of stuff.
  4. I run 3 top 30 SG's on my server I have 20mill+ prestige on each that is doing nothing.. so I am not baised when I say the this:

I think they should do away with prestige entirely. we don't need a ranking system as it does nothing really..

I think things you want in a SG base should be earned by the SG by doing SG missions from the Base computer. It would be much more fun and provide a reason for the SG as a whole to have an investment in the base other than trying to get prestige. This might enforce new SG bades to allow the system to let the base builders include the stuff earned. To me that would be much more fun

(yeah this will require them to fix the base computer to actually do that lol) Hero side we have had that SG mission computer since i6 and it has not worked almost the whole time. On redside you can do the Silver Mantis SF from it but there is no SG/VG benefit that it brings either.

This (SG Computer) is an untapped resource that I think the Devs should try to exploit/fix more.
  5. True but if you get an option to hit "yes" or "no" to be rezzed then if they hit "no" you should be able to use that rez on another player. Hence stopping the power from being used completely.

Or if they hit nothing at all... (i.e. AFK/Dcing) you shouldn't have to wait till its recharged to use it again since you didn't actually rez anyone?

anyways it was just a suggestion
  6. Basically, the change would be that the recharge of the rez should only happen if the power is actually successfull in rezzing someone. If it does not rez anyone (they are afk or hit no instead of YES when prompted to be rezzed) then allow the caster to use it again without needing to wait on it to recharge.

Nothing worse than trying to rez someone that goes AFK or DC's without the team knowing and wasting a rez on them. (this can be annoying in the low levels) Or if they hit NO because there about ready to level allowing us to use it on someone else that needs it.

    Note*
I didn't include howling twlight (dark rez) because its also an attack, and some folks just use it as such.

Okay Babs this might be a 2 part answer that might require Castle to chime in on. How about this..

What if we had a Combat on/combat off button that does the build up animation (which normally takes out the weapon (claws, spines, etc) Note* allow it to give a zero damage buff. However, once combat on is on it by passes the need for redraw on other powers.

The second part to this if there is a way to program the animations of all the powers in the set to bypass the first action, which is to draw out the weapon (spine, claws, BS, kat, mace, axe, etc) (or what ever step it is for redrawing the weapon)

Having a combat on/off click button might be a good way around the redraw animation issue, however I am not sure if something of that nature would be possible with this current system. It might require an overhaul of all the weapon animations to take out the first step of redrawing the weapon.

This is just an honest question, not sure if its possible, however I would like your input on it

  15. Most of the time PERC houses the influence winnings on bank/alt toon's by the various reps to use it on future PERC event. PERC have been doing some in house changes for the better behind the scenes. In regards to Rep availablilty some rep's like Jack Visconti had to take a leave of absence and just recently came back. Rest assure more events will be coming down the pipe soon.

There are other signs of similar issues: in the original version of I5 that went to test, for example, the ranged AoE target cap was 10 rather than 16. That changed before it hit live, but dominators had a 10-target cap on their AoE controls for years, while controllers got 16. Likewise, scrapper Cloak of Fear was lowered to mag 2 in I5, but the brute version remained at mag 3.
Learn something everyday thanks for explaining that.

Wish they'd consider equalizing them at 30. **sigh**
Could it be because in i16 both Scrappers and Tanks will have fire epic powers too where villains don't?

*shrug* I am not sure just throwing it out there.
  18. My wife and I join any Master of teams on the weekends. Regardless if we already have the badge on the specific toon or not (9 of our toons have the MoSTF or MoRSF badge). We are glad to help We just like the challenge of it. If we are online just give us a hollar

I have 7 MoSTF badges and 3 MoRSF badges and I have ran successfull ones multiple times on toons that already had the badge on various times (so my friends can get the badge) and various team builds. There is no "I WIN" team make up, there is only good players with good communication that can get this stuff done. Its much easier that way and some practice is needed sometimes.

    QFT

Since its there Primary it gets a buff.

Corruptor secondaries are matched only by Controller secondaries numbers wise. If controllers got traps it would have the exact same attributes as corruptors would have.

In the same case Radiation, Storm, Sonic, Force field, dark buffs are naturally higher % numbers wise to defenders since its there primary where corruptors would be lower since its there secondary. (Same for trollers, storm, rad, sonic, bubbles etc)

Conserve Power from all archetype versions of Electric Armor will be replaced by a similar power called Energize. Energize grants a smaller endurance discount and has a shorter duration, but grants slightly increased regeneration, recharges faster, and heals the user when activated.
