Quote:ThisBy the way, since the entire reason we're seeking incarnate powers (well - the heroes anyway, villains have their own reasons) is to fight absurdly powerful foes that we would have no hope of defeating any other way, it's a bit odd for the incarnate-focused zone to not have even the option for such absurdly powerful foes. Forget teams for a second - I want AVs so I can solo them, demonstrating how powerful I am.

Quote:Not snitching isn't the same thing as being deceitful if those in those in the know/independent discoverers misled the devs and community about performance that would be deceitful; if that group kept quiet instead that would just be good policy that thread put pshifter on synapses radar so things took a turn for the worse and will get worse there and now it's all what's next? That's a stupid approach. If something isn't balanced, whether it be too weak or too strong, we need to bring it up and see that it is. The developers of this game *do* depend on us quite a bit in order to determine what is balanced and what isn't, but if we as a community decided to start being purposefully deceitful about the performance of something just because we want to be more powerful in the vidja game, then they won't listen to us anymore. Instead, you will just have to deal with whatever they think is most appropriate given their much smaller data-pool. They'd much rather work from that than the advice of a bunch of self-promoting liars.

Quote:the point is we're not all teamed, all the time and our power picks should refelct that realityYou missed the point entirely...
You were thinking about when there is only you, the post was about considering the team, and that 8x10.5 is better than 8 individual build ups.
I even know several super teams that ran with stacked leadership, but the second they hit 50 and split up everyone respecs out of it.
It would take a major change in peoples thinking but would improve every incarnate trial to the point of making them too easy if everyone took the leadership pool. -
Quote:What is and isn't broken has always been a matter of opinion the devs decided xyz was good enough, I agreed enough to invest time there; if they wanna nerf xyz I'm going to be pissed afterall I've already invested in that. I'm already pissed that sets like Mercenaries remain trash tier and take only a small amount of effort to fix.Would YOU be aware of the P-Shifter proc if somebody else hadn't posted about it? Even if you personally would be, the majority would probably not. There are very few plausible situations in which players are widely aware of something and taking advantage of it, and the devs are totally in the dark for very long. Again, worst case, they would sell an unexpectedly huge number of Performance Shifter procs and start wondering why.
And again, things that are broken should be fixed. That's why we refer to them as "broken". -
Quote:I'd like to add that I also want less AT uniqueness, imo AT is just the style in which you tackle a problem I for one don't want to play a SS stalker But an SS/Nin Scrapper does appeal to me so less uniqueness means more freedom and isn't that subtitle of this game anyways?Except not. I want more AT uniqueness, you want less. I'd rather dev resources going towards that. And thus the disagreement.
Oh, and as for AT identity, I'm not being inconsistent. I'm going with the official definition of Stalkers and the one I'd really hope to be maintained and built upon.
Giving em SS is basically saying "yeah no more of that definition" -
Quote:/signA reward merit vendor..Ok..so then, if you do NOT already have all the salvage for whatever your buying, do not have Base Tp, do not have a portable crafting table, do not have /vault and /auctionhouse commands....you know what happens? You have to zone somewhere else anyway. Given that WW/BM has a merit vendor RIGHT there already, and some are near universities...
Pretty sure there is quite a few people without all the above..who would end up having to zone anyway.
How about..a reward merit vendor AND some kind of mystical oro-y crafting table? That makes more sense. -
you can pretty much guarantee that it won't happen now, discoveries like this need to be kept tight lipped imo Hope the ppm formula doesn't get nerfed cause the op wasn't savy enough to keep quiet

Quote:I'm under the impression when AVs get downgraded due to notoriety its an automated process, no specially created mob needed and that why they keep all powers including the purple triangles. I'm suggesting they do the same in reverse with the upgrade no need to take a boss hellion, skull, ppd robot and create a new eb version just give the system some new code and paramaters that spawn that named boss as an EB with EB modifiers. Reach the end of a tip mission and have to fight Silent Blade? She's now an EB.I think there would be technical issues as there isn't an EB equivalent for many mob types - that said, a lot of stories are a little anti-climatic when they end with a 15 second boss fight. Certainly a lot of the tip missions feel like they should have EBs rather than bosses.
I'd like to see more EBs in the open world, as a (potentially) soloable counterpart to giant monsters, using the same level-less code as GMs, raid critters etc. -
I'll keep it simple I'd like an option at the notoriety npcs to turn named boss encounters into EB encounters with the following options: All bosses, All named bosses, 1 named boss, random number of named bosses get upgraded. Currently you have the option to make all boss encounters weaker when solo but not the oposite. More options more fun imo.

Quote:People skip assault because it cost a lot for so little .39 base end for as little as a 10.5 % increase to base dmg is hard to justify I decided to play around with it and specced it into my last pre i22 MM build but now I'm probably going to be swapping it back out for tactics. I also have it on my stalker but I think that's going to be gone in the next respec. No I wasn't.
I didn't articulate the thought well, you pointed it out, I corrected myself. Time to move on and not derail this guy's thread.
No they don't. Leadership is a pool power and Khelds/scrappers with epic pools can take similar builds.
VEAT leadership teams are awesome because they ALL take leadership. Yes, it's double leadership, but it wouldn't seem so phenominal if people would stop ignoring the pool to squeeze in one more power. Imagine if a team of eight people all dropped build up (+100% damage sometimes) and all took assault (+10-15% damage all the time). Net gain for team DPS, and net gain for individual DPS. Same thing with Maneuvers, people take their last pool to get hover or CJ because they're lower end cost, but if eight people took maneuvers that would eliminate the need for a ton of +DEF in everyone's build.
You'll never see it happen. 21 or so player incarnate raid has three assault hitting me, and I'm running one of them. :/
I personally take assault on EVERY character I plan to do and try to work in Maneuvers as well. I wish more people would do the same... but now I'M derailing. ^^
I'm the guy who mis-spoke, not Aett, and I'm not making an arguement that PB's are melee/support.
I stated the fact that the devs have put in Khelds and in doing so they have given players a choice of two identical AT's with a small variation: One has heal/team balance, the other has self buffs/team exaggerate, and the selfish exaggerator is far more popular in my opinion and experience. -
I have been thinking about a new AT that would cover this base
Support/Melee
Way I see it some support powers would need to be AOE controls and the Melee set's taunt/placate power should be come a strong ST control -
Quote:No one's going to crucify you over a S.T. dmg buff that only does 30% and presumably can't stack on a single targetThe real problem isn't whether it's tactically wise to forgo Forge in single player. I'm pretty sure I won't miss it with Mercs.
It's whether people will feel ok about it on teams. Is a /thermal with no Forge like a /FF with no shields, or is it a really optional buff? I like to do everything I can to make people want to team with me since.... you know.... I'm playing an MM and all. -
Why don't we have an orbital death laser already? Keyes get's one just take that animation and boom badabing your done
I'd also like to see the opposite kind of power a pbaoe where you channel energy underneath you and it erupts from the ground 2/3 the radius of void but has -35% res effect that doesn't stack -
There is already a dire wolf model in game and I know I'd like A Fire Wolf version as an aoe centric boss pet and a stealthy panther as a stalker esque lt pet, maybe a protective male lion as the buff pet.

Quote:I'd prefer A vorpal like cone and since this "sesimic smash" since it is smashing that should be just as fair to cryonic as vorpal is; that said I like your 3rd suggestionStop. Stop right there.
I don't just want a more powerful version of (alternate animation) Foot Stomp. That would be the cheap way out. Incarnate powers deserve unique effects. Instead, how about a classic Hulk two-fisted ground slam?
Now, the real question is: PBAoE, targeted AoE, or a new hybrid type where the area of effect is a targeted AoE as well as anything that happens to be between you and the targeted area? -

I already avoid teaming with kbers this would just give me oppurtunities to team with them sans agravation
As for the superheroes argument it falls flat because outside of this game kb is an additional dmg dynamic all it does in this game is cause you to chase enemies so that you can continu to hit them. -
Quote:I'm pretty sure you can track the stats of all henchmen like pets including Lore pets right click on the henchmen and go to view combat attributesWith the addition of the third "Pet Aura" IO introduced in the masterminds ATIO set I think its time that the Three Pet Unique Enhancements get their own Icon in the buff tray (Both for the mastermind and the pets effected) to indicate to the player that they're functioning and when they are. If i understand the way these Enhancements (Edict of the Master Defense/Sovereign Right Resistance/Command of the Mastermind AOE Defense) work is that the player generates a 40' Aura that effects the henchmen under the control of the mastermind that has them slotted.
Since (without temporary powers) I have no way of knowing if these enhancements are in effect due to lack of pet stat tracking I can only trust and hope that they're in effect and that i'm in range of all pets to grant them the "aura" proper.
As someone who's starting to finally get into his Mastermind i'd like to see this introduced for piece of mind. I feel this isn't asking too much since the Scrappers Strike Critical Bonus has its own icon when the ATIO is slotted. -
I agree with this

Quote:Movie 2 should be Bleach "Rage Against The Heavens"IMHO....
The "movie" would have to be a quadlogy.
Part 1 - Start with his mother getting killed by Grand Fisher. Shoot to later, introduce humans and Rukia. Whole movie is a build up for an epic confrontation between Ichigo and Fisher (I realize that doesn't really happen in the manga, like that), movie ends with Byakuya and Renji kidnapping Rukia. Final after credit scene shows her surrounded by Gotei 13 capains and lieutenants. Establish romantic connection between Rukia and Ichigo (the manga is, at it's heart, nothing more than the story of how Ichigo's life changed when meeting Rukia).
Part 2: War on Soul Society. Perhaps call it "Bleach: Those Who Challenge the Gods." epic fighting, Empire Strikes Back as Ichigo and Co delve into the seeming dire circumstances of a betrayal from within. Introduce Aizen at end where he utterly destroys Ichigo in battle. Hougyoko (spell check) removed from Rukia and she begins to die. Ichigo and Co break SS orders and chase Aizen to Limbo (Hueco Mundo)
Part 3: Aizen and Arrancar. In Limbo, Ichigo begins to lose his mind (oh, hai, Hollow Ichigo). Masters it at the end with Rukia's help. Aizen flees to complete his domination of all things.
Part 4: BANKAI EDITION ENDING!
