It's ridiculously late for me to be posting anything, but I just wanted to say that I can't believe they haven't already done so.
This gets the Insomnia Stamp of Approval.

A trainer would be nice too, while they're at it, but I can't think of any good puns for that.
Edit: So... would Mender Verit wear the Ouro outfit in the hideous vendor colors, or what?

A reward merit vendor..Ok..so then, if you do NOT already have all the salvage for whatever your buying, do not have Base Tp, do not have a portable crafting table, do not have /vault and /auctionhouse commands....you know what happens? You have to zone somewhere else anyway. Given that WW/BM has a merit vendor RIGHT there already, and some are near universities...
Pretty sure there is quite a few people without all the above..who would end up having to zone anyway.
How about..a reward merit vendor AND some kind of mystical oro-y crafting table? That makes more sense.
