I'd wager the same. Posi told me personally (at SDCC this summer) that they intend to make Praetorian missions accessible via Ouroboros, but that there are technical challenges that are making it difficult.
I've never heard any developer comments on the accessibility of Mayhem/Safeguard missions that I can recall. -
Quote:Posi doesn't set the final prices, Second Measure does.By the way what ever happened to positron stating that costume slots would cost 5 bucks instead of 10? they're still 10 bucks.
This was just a matter of him saying something before a the final decision was made by those above him. It's sad, but it does happen from time to time. -

Quote:You know, it WAS completely possible to outfit your character completely in SOs before the Auction House was added to the game back in Issue 9... Here's your sign back.Seriously, the Devs have said for years the game was designed around SOs, then they develop a system where new people they are marketing to cannot buy SOs. Doh! Here's your sign.

I'd agree that most banana-flavored things are pretty awful... but what about baked goods with actual banana in them, like banana bread or banana cookies?

New items in the store today:
Temporary Combat Powers -- Holy Shotgun Shells (75 Charges) and St. Louis Slammer (30 Charges)
Temporary Summon Pet -- Warwolf Whistle (5 Charges)
New bundle: Undead Survival Kit, which contains the 3 temp powers above plus 5x Precise (Large Acc/Dam) Dual Insps and 5x Revival (self-rez) temp powers. -
Technically, it IS a 100 point discount on just getting 5x Self Revive and 5x Precise (Large Acc/Dam) dual insps, ignoring everything else.
Not saying I'd buy it... consumables are generally priced much too highly in the store. But if you're going to complain about the price of the Undead Survival Kit as a whole, then you need to get to the root of the problem and complain about the cost of the individual pieces:
5x Revival (Self Rez) -- 200 PP
5x Precises (Large Acc/Dam) Dual Insp -- 300 PP
Holy Shotgun Shells (75 Charges) -- 80 PP
St. Louis Slammer (30 Charges) -- 20 PP
Warwolf Whistle (5 Charges) -- 80 PP -
I went to ComicCon this year for the singular purpose of meeting the CoH development team. That's not to say that's all I did there, but I wouldn't have gone at all if Paragon Studios hadn't had a presence there.

You are, indeed, the "someone" was referring to in my previous post.
Sorry for stealing your thunder, Sadys.

Quote:As a person who traveled to San Diego Comic Con a few years ago ONLY to get s costume code, I can confidently say "Yes". People, or at least a friend and I, go to conventions for that reason alone. Not saying it's normal practice or widespread but it does happen. -
A lot of costumes don't display Katanas, either. (It's actually kind of awesome on the Mk VI Victoria.)
Some do, though. It's a weird bug. -
Quote:Indeed. 480 Points is $6 (US).Because 480 pts is so much more expensive than travelling to a con or skipping work to take part in an event (and even that is no guarantee you'll get the code).
I heard from someone who attended the last HeroCon that they were selling old costume codes for $20 apiece in the merch booth, and that they sold out of them. I'm more than happy to pay $6 for the convention codes. -
New items in the store for October 25: Carnival Harlequin Transformation Power, PPD Hardsuit Transformation Power and Rikti Mentalist Transformation Power for 480 Paragon Points apiece. (Each is only available through December 5th, 2011.)
No sales on permanently listed items this week, either.
EDIT: Updated first post and spreadsheet with the new items. I think I'm going to add another spreadsheet page for "limited availability" items, so I don't have to keep adding and removing things from the main spreadsheet. -
Quote:Well, there's not going to be anymore.Hell, even if there was no 15 merit cost for the new incarnate powers...
Quote:Hi all,
Adding to Positrons post above, weve been following your concerns regarding the gating of these new Incarnate trees and we ultimately agree that its unfair to gate some characters concept powers while not gating others. While we want to provide you with compelling options to spend your Incarnate Merits on, the original design ran counter to our desire to provide Incarnate abilities for all origins and concepts. Because of these considerations, weve removed the unlock cost for these trees in an upcoming build, and we look forward to seeing your builds find new and clever uses for them. The Dev Team agrees that part of the games strength has always been allowing characters of any concept to be created and we want to support that strength with your Incarnate Abilities.
That and Second Measure told me to take them out.

Well, since the OP hasn't responded in almost a week, I'm assuming he's either gotten his problem fixed and not said anything about it or RAGE QUIT.
(Given his other three posts prior to the one that started this thread as a sample of his personality, I'm guessing it was probably the latter.) -
Quote:MARTy's "promise" was that they wouldn't have to take servers down for an immediate exploit fix. And they're not. They're working their "exploit fix" into a larger patch, just as they promised they would.Nice to see that MARTy's promise of not having to tweak things individually is working out, though... lulz.
Your post, she is false. -
Have STILL not found the hidden Elite Boss yet...

I still guess that their projected launch for Titan Weapons is around the end of November (Cyber Monday seems like a great time to drop it!), which looks to be a similar time frame to the launch of the "Media Blitz" update.
... But I'll be pushing that estimation back into December if it fails to show up on test by the end of tomorrow. -
Once you use an Enhancement Booster, it makes that enhancement attuned to your character ONLY, so it can't be put in storage.
I've heard you can trade it to another player, then have it traded back... but the process deletes the booster you applied to it, and I'd strongly guess that's a bug anyway. -
Nope, Incarnate content and abilities are for VIP subscribers only.

Well, I'll agree they made too many changes all in one direction. But they tend to do that (I remember Issue 13 well...). In any case, it'll certainly be a lot more accessible than Keyes is currently, and they've got some room to cut back on the nerfs a bit.
For some reason, I think it's hilarious that they're nerfing established NPCs instead of players for a change, though... >_> -

It's not quite as jaw-dropping as i20.5 was for me, but there are some interesting additions and changes being made in i21.5.
Keyes will be getting a LOT easier! ... unless you're going for Avoids the Green Stuff, which doesn't look to have changed. You now only have to power up SIX terminals at any reactor, though they've reduced the delay before Antimatter's arrival from 120 seconds to 90 seconds to compensate. Additionally, the reactors' Antimatter Pulses' damage will be dropped from 50% to 20% of your health bar, and have a maximum damage (raised through damaging the AV) of 35% as opposed to the current 100%. Finally, his Disintegration ability will max at taking 80% of your life instead of 99%, and surviving will only give you a 50% endurance penalty instead of 100%.
As far as the bad stuff, BAF and Lambda will no longer award Empyrean Merits once you've unlocked the Lore and Destiny slots, respectively.
To counteract this, the new TPN trial will award 2 Empyrean Merits upon first daily completion and then one Empyrean for each subsequent completion (rather than switching to Astrals on subsequent completions as existing trials do).
I'm not really "wowed" by any of the new Incarnate abilities, but I do like that they're offering more choices.
Thoughts? -
I'm not arguing your message, but the delivery of it was just awful. Learn to type out actual words. You're reporting a bug, not sending a txt 2 ur bff.

Quote:... Prison Shiv power set?Yes, but then the police would give me a liberal application of imprisonment and I'd have to wait even longer to see Titan Weapons.

Quote:Forget about Titan Weapons, just give me Staff Fighting NAO!!!
I'd totes rather have Staves than Titan Weapons, though. I want to make my Sun Wukong/Son Goku (the original, not the Dragonball guy) character! -
Quote:No, you need to run ONE once you're already at a Hero or Villain alignment. That's what "reaffirm" means. After getting denied 2 villain merits tonight on a level 50 villain with the frenzy power and badge for becoming a villain via the tip missions - I was told you can now only get a hero/villain merit from the SSA if you have completed a second set of 10 tip missions that reinforces the current alignment. So you'll need to run 20 hero or villain tip missions now before the SSA drops an A-merit. Which seems quite wrong to make this change with no warning or discussion.
As far being a "wrong choice to make with no warning or discussion," they're just giving SSAs the exact same prerequisite as other content for awarding Alignment Merits. I'm not going to argue that the change is annoying, but it makes perfect sense to me.
