Quote:On the other hand, they missed a sale from me, because I was out of town this weekend. Had I been forewarned, I would have arranged to purchase Street Justice for my second account.Awww man I missed the sale on street justice by a few hours. Got so excited that I bought it last night before I logged.
Doh!
Guess I'll just wait until the next time it goes on sale... (while continuing to punch faces on my primary account). -
Bonus sales for this past weekend (just for posterity's sake):

Agent White speaks the truth. I just checked my second account, which I had to let expire a couple months ago for financial reasons, and its account type is listed as "Free" as well.
-
Much like Aggelakis, I received diddly squat for my 8 year anniversary--no badge, no extra character slot, no bonus Reward Merits... nada.
-
The fact that anyone is actually surprised by this floors me.
Nature Affinity has been pretty much ready since its first patch. Bio Armor is still undergoing a couple light tweaks. Obviously they're going to release the set that was finished first. -

Oh, and it really also ought to be noted:
The current incarnation of the Pocket D bundle does not contain the dance emotes or the Pocket D Transporter power.
The Roman bundle does not contain the Cupid Bow. -
Quote:Just curious you do want us to actually spend our points right? That way we spend real money to get more points? Cause you sure aren't acting like you want us to use any of our points.Quote:Stop whining, please. They can't bust out a new powerset or costume pack every week. Not only that, if these items are gonna be in the market permanently now (since I'm not seeing a time limit on the forums, at least), then it's a very successful week IMO.
There is literally nothing new in the market this week. The Pocket D and Roman costume bundles both made it back to the store last week. The Boost Kit is also back, but it's been less than a month since it was introduced in the first place.
They didn't have to release a new power set or costume bundle, or even new Super Packs; they could have added a new Very Rare enhancement set to the market, or some more uncommon/rare enhancement sets. (It's not like the rest of the purple enhancements haven't been on the beta server since before i23 went into testing.)
Alternately, they could have had a sale that wasn't so incredibly bland. There is one thing and only one thing on sale: 25% XP Boosters, at 25% off. This weekend is Double XP weekend; they should be doing more to encourage creating new characters! Having a minor sale on character slots and GR/VIP power sets would inspire Free/Premium players to spend some cash this weekend.
So again, I think GPBunny made a good point. There is nothing enticing me to spend points this week. They might make a small profit from VIP players intent on milking the Double XP weekend for 2.25x XP, but I think the vast majority of people are going to be fine without. -

It's Tuesday again, aka NEW STUFFS DAY!
... Or is it? Because I'm not seeing anything new in the store this week.
The Boost Kit is back, and remains a treasure-trove of goodies for leveling a brand new character for 395 Paragon Points -- less than $5(US). Contents and cost breakdown below.
This week's sales:- XP Boosters for 25% off (the 25% bonus for 1 hour variety)
- XP Booster x1 -- 90PP
- XP Booster x3 -- 225PP
- XP Booster x5 -- 338PP
EDIT: Spreadsheet and OP have been updated. (That was easy.) - XP Boosters for 25% off (the 25% bonus for 1 hour variety)

Quote:Venture, I've seen several of your MA reviews in the past use the term "idiot ball." I would certainly classify that as an insult. This is an example of Silverman's point in action. I didn't "throw out insults", but because any criticism is seen as "unnecessarily harsh" it's taken as such.
I can't say whether or not you've changed this tactic, since I stopped reading your reviews as a result of the above. -
Think of it this way:
For the most part, Incarnate powers that add properties to OTHER powers will only do so on powers that can accept enhancements. (Though there are a few effects that boost Judgement, Destiny and Lore powers.)
No Incarnate powers will affect Interface powers. No Incarnate powers will affect Hybrid powers. Therefore, Hybrid and Interface powers will not affect each other, ever. Both Hybrid and Interface bonuses can be applied to the same attack power, but they do not affect one another; they each enhance a power separately. -

Already got thumbnails of the first two images transmitted. The first one was mostly just a dust cloud, but the second one is a clear image of Curiosity's shadow on the surface.

Bonfire was ALWAYS a good power. It's just that it required you either lock your foes down to the ground with hold or immobilize powers, or catch them with it in a corner so they couldn't escape, if you wanted to use it to its full potential.

Checked my second account, which has been inactive for a little over 50 days at this point, and I can't find anything that says how long it has been down.
(However, I still have the email sent on June 13th that says "Your VIP Account Has Expired!" so I can track my time manually.) -

Quote:Once you've joined the queue, it will wait until you have the bare minimum number of players to start an event and THEN begin a(n invisible) 90 second countdown. Any other players that queue up during that countdown will be invited to the league at the end of the countdown, and if the maximum number of players happens to queue in then it will jump straight to the accept screen, skipping whatever is left of the 90 second countdown.Specifically, when does the turnstile kick in? For example, I've had DFBs start with four people, but also with eight - and in the latter case, I am certain there weren't seven other pre-queued players before I, too, joined.
Quote:Second, what about the "join events in progress" option? In one case I was sent to an empty, half-cleared instance. Another time I instructed another player how to queue himself with that option enabled, yet he never received a prompt to join our existing four-man team, nor anyone else's.
Quote:And finally, DFB-unrelated, is it possible to queue for unlockable TFs, such as Cavern or Hess, if the player doesn't have it unlocked, but another queued player does? -
I asked, and there should be an official announcement about the Pocket D and Roman costume bundles next week.
As for Mercedes Sheldon appearing in Pocket D, Desi_Nova is correct, she's there so that Villains can speak to her when doing the Night Ward arcs. -
I wish I still had my family's Atari 2600, but our basement flooded when I was about 7 or 8 and ruined the box we had the system and games stored in, so my mom threw everything out. Every once in a while, in my preteen years, I'd see one when my mom took me to garage sales, but she never let me get one.
But to be fair, I have like 90 NES games, safe and sound to this day. (If only I had a working console...) And of course, I've still got a working SNES, N64, Playstation, Dreamcast, PS2, Gamecube, and every iteration of Nintendo handheld save the Virtual Boy... I guess I can't complain too much about my stash of games. -
You know what hasn't even been mentioned in this thread?
The Roman and Pocket D costume pieces are back in the market.
The current Pocket D bundle does not come with any dance emotes or the Pocket D Transporter power, and the Roman bundle likewise does not contain the Cupid Bow (though it does contain 7 Shield models).
