You are overcapped on one HP bonus. I tweaked it a bit and here's what I came up with. Replaced useless Chillblain with Salt Crystals (huge 30ft AoE). Left the -KB IO and got a recovery bonus, as having no KB protection when jumping (CJ or SJ) sucks.

Have you ever read Arcanaville's guide to defense, or Dechs Kaison's guide on why/how defense helps/works?
Cuz, you be wrong.
edit: Here is Dechs' guide: http://dechskaison.blogspot.com/2011...important.html -
Nice work. I doubt everyone could do it, even with Lore pet.
Now, do it (and film it) without the Lore pet, so posterity knows (if) it can be done if the Lore pet isn't recharged yet! (and what it takes if so) -

If you put the Anti-Matter section of this post just before the Dr. Colston section of it, he could be sending it to her? Is she undercover in the Rogue Isles for Praetoria? (I don't recall her lore off the top of my head.)

Quote:we are looking into this for a future issue
we will endeavor to take this into consideration in future development decisions
Well, I'm glad for the acknowledgement of small-group and solo option desires for Incarnate progression. However, this doesn't say "is coming eventually", this says "looking into" and "considering".
That means, realistically, that this stuff isn't in the development cycle yet. That means it's well over a year out and away, if not more, as past info has shown us how long the development cycle is and can be (and we know there are multiple trials already in the pipe).
This causes me a staggering reality check in my Wait and See mentality. -
You are all doing it wrong! wrong! wrong! GAH!
j/k - heh - figured I'd note for those with malfunctioning snark detectors
I am a true oddball. I hate using the mouse, and therefore minimize my use of it. I hate ASDW, too.
I use the numpad for movement, leaving my left hand free for power activations (1-6, and several letters below that binded depending on character).
Numpad
1 Strafe one way
2 backwards
3 camera tilt one way
4 turn left
5 reset camera to default
6 turn right
7 strafe other way
8 forward
9 camera tilt other way
space jump
z down (for flight)
f target nearest
g target next
It works extremely well for me, and I barely have to use the mouse. -
Uninstall and reinstall with the full download (took forever) fixed the problem. Well, it still left a huge (3.x GB file), but I was able to delete it with no problem or error.
T_J: I didn't expect any Dev response in here. I know better. I was just seeing if anyone had experienced this and maybe had a quick fix I had overlooked. I knew tech support would want me to do the reinstall first, so I didn't want to contact them until after I had tried it.
Gangrel: The Launcher was closed during the copy and opened back up and it immediately went to "fixing". Once the fixing completed, I did the file check and then I exited out of it and went looking for the temp file since the Test version had left it.
It wouldn't delete. I played around a bit, and then restarted. Wouldn't delete. Tried it via DOS command line. Booted into safe mode with DOS prompt, deleted, restarted, and it was back. Found the service that was blocking delete, halted it, deleted, restarted. It was back.
It was a persistent little devil, I will say.
Anyway, I have resolved my annoyance to my satisfaction. If I didn't have such a space issue until my new (1TB) HD arrives, I probably wouldn't have even noticed it taking up the extra space. -
Beware, the start the install, halt it, copy over files, and let Launcher "fix" the install may result in a massive space wasted.
The Launcher install apparently puts a ~3.7GB temp file (BIT41.tmp) in the folder. This file doesn't necessarily go away. It stayed when I installed Test this way, but I was able to delete it.
When I installed Beta this way, the file stayed, and wouldn't go away. When I did manage to delete it (required killing a svchost process), it came back after restart.
Result is a Beta folder that should be just over 4GB being almost 8GB in size. -
I had to do some rearranging for space purposes, so I deleted my test and beta folders.
Using the NCSoft Launcer, I initiated reinstall of Test. As per suggestions in a couple threads, I halted the install, copied the contents of my Live folder into the CohTest folder, and let the Launcer "fix" the install.
The BIT41.tmp file (hidden) in the Test folder didn't delete on finish. It was sitting in the folder wasting ~3.7GB. I deleted it, and it stayed gone.
I repeated this process on the Beta install. The BIT41.tmp once again didn't get removed and remained, bumping a program folder that should be a bit over 4GB to over 7GB.
When I try to delete it, I get the message that the "file is in use" by some program or process. It turns out (yay, process viewer) to be in use by one of the svchost processes.
I stopped the process and deleted it. It reappears on restart.
I've tried deleting it in safe mode, and in safe mode from the command prompt.
Having the Launcher run the consistency check doesn't make it let go.
Anyone have an idea to make it go away for good? It's not necessary to run, and neither of the others has this file in it. And, my Beta install from before didn't have it. It's wasting 3.7GB of space on my HD.
This process started because of space issues, so obviously I can't afford to waste this space.
(Yes, a new, bigger HD is on my agenda. That suggestion won't help right now.)
edit: Uninstalled Beta and CohBeta folder (with bit41.tmp only) remained, instead of going away. Attempting reinstall without copy/paste, to see if it will go away properly. -
Clobber is a single target attack (and an awesome one at that). The radius you are seeing is the radius of the Gauntlet taunt effect.
Whirling Mace, Shatter, and Crowd Control are your AoE attacks. -
Um, that was yesterday. Today is the 10th.
edit: I was just able to login to my account without issue. -
I could get behind something akin to this.

Quote:What do you want from me, man? To just shut up and go to hell? I don't like these changes. At all. What, do you want me to just stop talking altogether? If you don't like what I'm saying, then don't respond to me. If it bothers you that much, then put me on ignore. But please, stop trying to "fix" me.
You're happy. I get it. We all get it. Can I please be allowed to be unhappy, then? I never hounded you for being unhappy. Why are you constantly hounding me?
You're not alone in your current feelings of disappointment in how things are going. Don't let the Raid Progression lovers get you down. Everyone is entitled to their view, and to express their view.
I certainly hope the Devs don't let any few folks on either side who generate quantity/volume of posts to decide the whole of the fanbases image for them.
I have always liked that this game geared itself to all of us. I'm worried about that going forward, and have expressed so, and feel no need to argue with anyone about it. -
I am not currently very hopeful or amused. I'm here instead of other places for STORY. Story doesn't get told in content for large groups or raids. That content might have some overriding story, but you have to get that from sites like the ParagonWiki, because it's not possible to actually see it in game while doing the content.
Story gets told well through Story Arcs. You can do them in groups or solo, so it is content for those who like playing with various numbers of folks. And, you can get the whole story by doing it yourself (or in a small, patient team) and you can get it at any time thanks to Ouroboros.
I19 and onward shows us a trend where only large-group based content is being focused on. We know there are lots more of these activities coming, as this is apparently the only content coming for future Incarnate levels.
I am left wondering if the game I have been enjoying is just completely being left behind, with the only new advancement being only storyless, group gimmick, raid fests. [edit: They may have some story, but as I said, you can't really get that while playing it, you have to get it outside the game.]
Yes, all the stuff I have been enjoying is still there, but it's looking shaky as to whether it's going to just sit there and grow stale with no other story advances. As the thread in the main forum has shown (and only a small portion has been highlighted and covered), there is still plenty of story to be expounded upon and fleshed out and/or completed.
I've done the year subscription the last two or three times in a row, and still have many months left on this one, but for the first time in a long time, I'm left unsure if this game's direction is going to continue to include me and the stuff I like ever again.
Color me unconvinced. As before, I'll wait and see, as I have plenty of time left anyway. Going the path of "Progression" that those Other games do isn't my happy place. I need to see some story I can read as I play. -
Interesting.
It reminds me of The Raft from Snow Crash.
I hope it's not used just in a TF/Trial. -
Objective: Installed easily. Picked up all 3 of my installs (live, test, beta). Let me know (yellow dot) that Test needed to be updated. Updated smoothly. No visible issues.
Subjective: I found the options to disable load at startup, background updating, and to make it close at game launch. I am a minimalist and so I availed myself of these options.
However, I now find myself wanting to axe the section for "uninstalled games". I don't like seeing it there. It's invasive and unnecessary. It's extra clutter for no reason.
An option to turn it off or hide it would be appreciated. And NO, it's never, ever, ever, ever going to make me consider buying those other games they sell. That's the kind of thing that actually DISSUADES me from ever doing so. -
Quote:No! The advantage they have, even now, is that Fast Healing and Quick Recovery can be STACKED with health and stamina. Most of my justification for this suggestion relates to the creeping easiness, but in one respect, I believe there has been an actual unfairness. This relates to the difference between regen and willpower scrappers. One of the advantages that Regen had was that it could get Quick Recovery at level 4, while Willpower scrappers had to wait until 20. This advantage is irrelevant now that everyone gets Stamina at level 2.
They still have that advantage.
I toss my vote of NO to all you propose. It is perfectly fine as it is now. -
Did you click on Blast Furnace after defeating him?
You should have to defeat him, talk to him and beat the ambushes (repeat 3 times), and then talk to him one last time and then beat Nocturne. -
Quote:If you're willing to consider "soft cap with DN up", go evil, pick up soul mastery/DN and slot that with 4 slots. You can do max end redux with Dark Watcher's set and end up with DN doing about -16% to-hit. Now you're only targetting 29% to hit the cap. That probably frees you enough on slotting you afford the slots for DN too. :-P
The problem with DN is that +level mobs resist a lot of it thanks to the Purple patch function.
+3 mobs resist 35% of it (16% x 0.65 = 10.%).
+4 mobs resist 52% of it (16% x 0.48 = 7.68%). -
Another option you might consider, which would probably take less slot compromises and/or Inf, is to go for 20+% defense to most (or all) vectors.
A medium purple (+25% def) then softcaps you to everything, and they are very plentiful and cheap.
You could also probably combine that with as much S/L defense as you could get (or afford) for when you don't have a purple up.
edit: typo -
I'm glad they are adding this in for those of us who prefer to solo.
I intend to give some of the Incarnate Trials a whirl, since the Turnstyle should make it easy.
But, I generally dislike TFs (not fun to me), so I'm not sure I'll ever make a habit of the IncTrials (fun remains to be seen, but TFs don't give me much hope for these).
Having an alternative is nice, even if it is slower.
Now, I do hope they tweak those numbers down some. Slower is one thing, but that looks ridiculously slower given the shard drop rate. The cash money part isn't relevant. As noted by others, by the time you earn the shards, you'll have the cash. -
Only thing I see worth note is...
You could pick Hover in place of Melt Armor. Put the WG -Slow in it instead of CJ.
You can then slot something else (maybe a 5th LotG) in CJ. -
Bear in mind, you can mule Sets into high level powers that you don't have access to while exemped. All that matters is the level of the IOs, not whether or not you have the power.
For example, take Char and Ring of Fire. Put 4 Level-10 Basilisks Gaze in it. The set bonuses will work down to level 7. Put 6 L20 Enfeebled Operation in RoF. These bonuses will work down to L17.
This allows you to get lots of nice bonuses and use all the slots you have at 50 to your best advantage. -
WooHoo! Thank you!
I like the new popup interface for Accolades and Incarnate stuff. Much cleaner. -
Perf.Shifter +End works out to 0.2 end/sec (in a passive like Stamina).
In Stamina, a single Level 50 IO adds 0.177 end/sec (before ED kicks in).
