Fast Install with NCSoft Launcher?
Totally possible.
- Let the installer start (including setting up the custom directory).
- Let it run for a minute or 2.
- Stop it
- Copy over your pigg files (and custom files etc).. basically contained within the folders of the game directory but NOTHING outside of it
- Right click the game in the NCsoft launcher and Choose "Consistency check"
- Let the game download the missing files.

Not 100% sure this will work, but you could also copy your "City of Heroes" directory to CohTest, then when installing it, point it to the CohTest directory and it may be able to patch it up to the latest. This should be faster than doing the Consistency check, which will also work.
Totally possible.

Thank you both for the help though.
EDIT: I suspect the problem is that when I wiped my hard drive I only bothered to backup the piggs. Since it doesn't see the .exe file it's not bugging out and detecting it as a partial install.

Beware, the start the install, halt it, copy over files, and let Launcher "fix" the install may result in a massive space wasted.
The Launcher install apparently puts a ~3.7GB temp file (BIT41.tmp) in the folder. This file doesn't necessarily go away. It stayed when I installed Test this way, but I was able to delete it.
When I installed Beta this way, the file stayed, and wouldn't go away. When I did manage to delete it (required killing a svchost process), it came back after restart.
Result is a Beta folder that should be just over 4GB being almost 8GB in size.
With the old launcher it was possible to do a fast install (whether of the game or the test sever) by starting the install, stopping, copying over the pigg files and then restarting the install. This would allow the install to complete with only relatively small downloads. However I can't seem to make this trick work with the NCSoft launcher. Is it possible?
