    Defender Traps

Have 2 traps defenders, and they are both great, but different strokes for different folks.

Anyway, should this be better suited in Archetypes & Powers General Discussion?
  2. What side do you pick more than others?
Blue side because I love teaming and it is much harder to find team on red side. (I do prefer red side stories)

What play style do you prefer?
Support. I have at least one character of each AT, but prefer playing defenders/coruptors.

What power set(s) do you favor?
Fire blast and the most of support sets (rad, kin, dark, cold...)

What zones do you like the most?
    Croatoa / St. Martial

Do you usually play as a male or female (word of hatred) ''toon''?

Female, but I do have some male alts.

    Views on Role Playing?
Tried it and haven't like it. I don't mind if people around me RP - I will just write all in brackets.

    Servers?
Union and Defiant (and since server list merged at least 1 alt on each server)

I don't mind if someone call me girl, I know I am too old to be girl, but it is kind of flattering.

I have started playing games on ZX Spectrum, and haven't stopped since.

That is Greek. Latin word for death is mors, mortis, f.
  4. Happens from time to time. Just going back to servers page and then back in usually helps.

Also, "mob" is singular, short for "mobile". A group of aggro-linked mobs is a "spawn". People have come to conflate the English word "mob" (mAHb) an unruly group of people, with it, even referring to spawns as "mobs".

    Get off my lawn!

I always thought that when someone say mob in game that means a criminal gang, since we are heroes and fighting criminals and even on villains we also fight other criminals.

Every day you learn something new.

  7. I like the old content. There are just few changes that I would do.
    1) Find other way to introduce player to PvP - I hate that first mission of new contact is speak with PvP zone representative.
    2) Don't send me across town for mission while I don't have phone number yet. It is bad enough when you solo, but in team you are making 7 more people waiting for me while I run to contact, to get new mission that could be in any zone. That is one of the reasons that teams mostly stick to radios, tips or new contacts.

Defeat all missions are fine by me. If there weren't any defeat all missions, some of my alts would never level solo (when solo I tend to skip to objective).

Also I like the idea that people would use AE to create TIP missions, and the best mission could be promoted into regular TIP missions.
  8. One of my alts, that ended on Freedom after transfer, had really nice two teams run.
Trick was to have 4-5 clarions, 2-3 barriers maybe even more and some of other destinies. Summon all pets, shoot clarions, then all other destinies and charge in. With Judgements and other high damaging powers, whole league should be able to take him down in less then minute.
  9. I also want o say thanks for this guide. It made me want to slot and play my Ill/rad again.

I did some modifications to perma builds I found here but it still works great.

Consume helps with long fights and I like Glimpse of Abyss proc in Spectral. Managed to solo the lot of AV's and Kraken so far with it without any problem. Using merits for the most of expensive recipes helps a lot and fortunately purple confuse set is not in the same price range as damage one.

    trial rewards

Trouble is that some of my alts just have luck and some doesn't. Some keep getting purples and other good recipes, and some need to borrow money from other alts just to get SO's. E-mailing things among alts does help a lot (at least I don't have to bother friends to transfer things from one to another).
I wish that devs will one day give us possibility to send incarnate salvage from one to another alt. Till then I will have T3 and 4 incarnate powers only on lucky alts. Unlucky will have to be happy with just T1 and 2 and never do newer trials.

  12. Anything works good with only SO's. Since I am very slow in adding IO's and sets the most of my 50's are still on SO's (I even forget KB protection the most of the times).
Any AT work ok on just SO's so don't worry whatever you choose.

What we should be asking ourselves now though is how do we improve/make more popular
    • Hami Raids
    • The original sewer trial
    • Hollows Trial
    • Eden
    • Shadow Shard TFs [obviously this gets brought up a LOT]
    • Respec Taskforces
These kind of things should be the focus!
You have forgot Freedom Phalanx task forces. Devs made great change on Posi and it is run lot more now, but others need some renewing also.

And if an altered Goliath War Walker is 54+1. and Mother Mayhem is 54+2, then there's a pretty good chance that Tyrant is going to be at least 54+3 - and then we'll be getting the Battalion, who are even more powerful than the loyalists - but there's also the next 5 slots to come, so we'll be growing in power too - but we'll never get to the point where there's no longer any challenging content for us - even if we get another couple fo level shifts in the next 5 slots to make us 50+5, we'll end up with 54+5 enemies.
The Incarnate system never ends - we'll always be chasing the next big thing, and we'll always have enemies who are more powerful than us.
Which means repeating same all 3 trials to make incarnate (4 if we are lucky to get UG) so we can do next two trials, then probably repeat new 2 trials, so we can get to next level... It still isn't fun. Instead of feeling like Super I feel like Farmer. And I believe that new "solo" path will be repeating same thing all over.
I like trials. I don't mind them being more difficult then rest of the game. Only thing I mind is having to repeat them over and over again to get to the next phase. And adding harder enemies to new trial, just give new characters on incarnate path less option. That is not fun.
If Incarnates were the only thing that I need subscription for, I would be the Premium from the first day Freedom begun.
  15. Some people just want to have certain AT or levels or whatever in team/league. There is still lot of people that doesn't mind that. For every one leader that require 50+ comes at least 2 that don't require anything (except what are trial/tf requirements).
  16. Phase 7: Repeat phase 5 and you are done

Reached it just once but I think that fight is identical to one in phase 5, just after it he is gone for good.
  17. You can always read posts here or surf the net.
Just remember, there are other things online and not just games and XXX - for example you can look at kittens.
  18. The optimist proclaims that we live in the best of all possible worlds; and the pessimist fears this is true.
  19. But it is not about this game only. Today Pop culture want to make all females s...s. Just look at videos either on TV or Youtube. The most of "popular" singers wear less clothes then MM and Bobcat.
Unfortunately this game is just following trends, and I don't believe that anything in game is going to change, unless we have change in society in general.

I don't mind sexy option in game. It is nice to have it. Since dual identity is used to hide real identity, if my alt is in her normal life covered from head to toes she will have almost no clothes as hero. It would still be nice to have some diversity, since not all my alts are same and some doesn't have hidden identity. Some of them are actual gunslingers that will continue to use trench coat vet reward since females doesn't have any other long coat option.
And males should have more long hair options. I grew up in 80's and the most of my male friends had longer hair then me.
  20. This pack has two things I am looking forward to: Cigarette option for female (I wanted that from the start for my villainess) and butt-cape that can be used on alts that are not fortunata (although option without bow would be nice). Having just that in whole bundle makes it worthy to buy. Also steampunk hair without hat is nice to have.
  21. Fire/kin controllers used to be the most famous farmers. They do have good damage on higher levels with burning feats and fs (+imps help).
  22. Haven't played cold defender solo (sg team), but can say from playing solo cold corruptor, that you could have hard time before Sleet (when you get Sleet things become much easier).
Rad and dark defender are much easier to play solo on lower levels, although my dark had bit more problem with endurance (rad have AM). On the other hand dark gets fluffy...

With sonic as secondary I would choose Rad, although sonic have good synergy with everything, cold and dark make me want to have some rain power (fire or ice).

Or if you have slots, you can make all 3.
  23. Adding fighting pool could help with soft-caping melee defense and give you smashing/lethal resistance over 60.
I was playing a bit in Mids with my time/electric/mu, but I'm still haven't came with complete build I would be happy with.

Edit: Maybe something like this, with possibly Temporal selection instead of Assault. Also I am not sure should I keep elec. pet or hold. This is still no final build, but I am getting closer.

  24. There is already topic at Bug reports about that.

The way I see it so far, everybody received their paragon points for October around 12th, no mater when their billing date is. So people with billing date near the end of the month received their points earlier.
For month November paragon points should come on your actual billing date, so people that have billing date at the end of the month will get them later.
So if your billing date is 28th, you should receive points on 28th or 29th November.
If you haven't get points for last month around 12th October and you have been subscribed in that time, then it is best to contact support.

Also you can see history on main NCsoft account page, but can't remember where you should look exactly (I just click around until I found it).
