    Hmmm. Still have never managed to do Hess, Eden or the Sewer trial

    Tried to do Eden but the Leader bug got me (have to be level 37-39 to choose it).

    I was wondering, since one of my earliest memories was Issue 4 arriving and everyone giving out about Arena. Think I was on a week or two at that stage.

    Back then you could Flash almost every group with an AOE hold. I had a few weeks of multiple pets as well before it was cruelly nicked from me.
  3. Yeah, I'm a bit baffled as to why there are zombies coming out of the ground too. GR said there was a trigger for them but it hasn't been explained or mentioned by anyone else so I'm unsure where they were going with it all.

    But what about non-VEATs?

    I tend to respec every character at 22 with a Vet reward, hero and villain, lets me cash in my DOs, spec in Stamina and set up slots for SOs.

    It'd be a nice QoL thing not to have to travel to do it, and then travel again to the appropriate shop (I also do it at 27 and 32). So make it do what it says it allows and let /respec work with em.

    But it looks a bit ... errm.. cheap. nofi offcourse. But taking rendered font-images rather then normal (bigsize) font would been better. (specialy on the left menu).

    Using text rather than pre-made images is going to be easier to administrate plus will generally work better for people who use non-standard browsers. (Screen readers for example.)

    Personally I was amazed that it is a <table> free design and seems fairly standards compliant.

    Yep, its is. Agreed on the Text thing too, I'd always prefer Text links for various reasons over images (Text size can be increased / decreased better by the Browser for example).

    Site is a bit image-heavy for my tastes to be honest.

    Any non-mission, non-shop door will do in any zone.

    Basically any door which, when you'd normally click it, would say "You cannot enter" will do it.

    Or summon everything but him, cast the first upgrade and then summon him and cast the 2nd.

    Although if we give out about how awkward it makes upgrading the bruiser maybe they'd make Handclap knockdown instead

    According to the Power Descriptions on the Character Creation screens it looks like the Upgrade powers are becoming AOE. That's based on reports from the US.

    Which is sorta good. Until you consider powers like the Bruisers annoying Handclap, which I generally avoid giving him...

  12. Actually here's another thought. With Pets if you slot Set IOs with some Recharge in them, such as putting ToHit Debuff/Recharge IOs in a Lich or Dark Servant, not only is the power itself recharged quicker but any powers the pet has which can be affected with that Set IO will also recharge faster (so a Dark Servants Heal and Tentacles since they've both got a ToHit debuff component. Ditto for a Lich his Fearsome Stare & Blasts recharge quicker since they've a -ToHit component).

    Does that mean that Hold/Recharge or Acc/HoldRecharges in Gasses will not only affect how quicky Gasses itself will recharge but how quickly the Vents will recast their single target holds (since they're technically pets), or do they fall foul of the "Pet of a pet" thing which means the Enhancement values aren't passed down to them? *Edit : Thinking about it answered this bit for me, since Holds do improve the (brief) time things are held, meaning more chance of double stacking, then the Vents are obviously getting passed the Enhancement values.

    If they do inheret the Recharge of Hold Set IOs then coupling the PROCs with Acc/Hold/Recharge and Hold/Recharge IOs would mean an insane amount of PROCing available. Great vs single tough targets (which is where the Posi's Blast PROC tends to be poor).

    Yet BU and sortlike buffs do buff the pet (as long u cast buff before ignite).

    Some buffs buff some pseudo-pets, some don't. For example Hasten will buff Lightning Storm but doesn't do a thing to Spectral Terror.

    I don't think Power Boosts are ever passed down the chain to any pseudo-pets though.

    You mean Enforcers rather than Thugs, right? Thugs don't grant any defense buffs (and can't take Defense enhancements either).

    I wouldn't 3 slot Enforcers either, simply because they do lots of AOE damage. I think I've 3 Acc/Damage, 1 damage and 2 defense buff in them at the mo.

    Even if you were casting it the Afraid works as a quick ticking, quick duration (0,75 sec) Fear so it wouldn't really be effective anyway (you'd only make them flee in terror for another 0.75 seconds, they'd flee the AOE and return to normal).

    EU Servers, and you can't. The feature used to exist on the EU site but never worked properly so they removed it.

    The new website *might* have it, but I wouldn't bet money on it.

    That's a bit odd. It's not like there's anything useful in there.

    I always thought it was to avoid people being TPed into the dancing cages and made to dance for coins (not pretty when its a 7 foot demon).

    That's wrong AFAIK

    The Holds are cast every few seconds by the 4 Vent minions, so the PROC has a chance of going off every time one of the 4 vent minions casts its single target hold.

    So Hold PROCs check more often than once every 10 seconds. I think its 4 single target checks every 6 seconds or so.

    Posi's Blast in Gasses will check every 10 seconds as its "cast" by the PBAOE damage aura gasses has.

    I am in exactly the same place as you, only maybe a month or so on - I have my WS and I'm at 25. I'd echo the previous post - plasma's guide has been a great help.

    I've found slotting to be expensive and easy to get wrong. Forms come with four powers most of which need slotting on top of the powers you pick

    I focused on putting slots into the form powers - Nova and Dwarf. My playstyle from 6 - 20 was largely that of blaster. From 20 - 25 it's been about the same, although you can now double mire, which when they both hit can make a massive difference to your DPS. I say massive, but these things are relative of course.

    I have tanked when the main tanked faceplanted, and in a small team with experienced players. I haven't figured out how the taunt works, since you aim it at a target but I'm pretty sure it pulls more than one mob away (more experience players can sort me out here)

    Anything else...? um, get macros to switch forms, you'll be doing it a lot if you want to get the most out of the AT

    The Taunt is a targetted AOE affecting up to 5 targets as far as I know.

    Slotting-wise I went with what made sense for each form. Human probably gets the least slots for me (I'm currently level 30). All I've really slotted are the hard control powers (Grav Well, Grav Emination and one extra slot in Inky Aspect), Hasten, Mire (1 Acc & 3 Recharge) & an extra slot in Stygian (1 End Red, 1 Recharge).

    Dwarf I've slotted the Form itself, the Heal (1 Acc, 2 heal, 1 recharge at the mo), the Taunt (1 acc, 1 taunt, 1 recharge) and Mire (1 acc, 2 recharge currently).

    Nova I've heavily slotted the AOEs (1 acc, 3 damage, 1 recharge) and slotted the 2 single targets a bit (1 acc, 2 damage).

    I used the respec bug to achieve decent slotting in forms rather than spending them on the low level human powers, which I rarely use anyway.

    Since the 20s I've tended to flit madly between forms. Generally start off with Human (with 5 toggles running, I've bound the V key to cycle them all on so its fairly easy) to Stun them all and get a mire going. Throw out a Hold on one (since its so heavy-hitting now as well). After that I'll either just switch to Nova for AOE death or Dwarf to mire again. I'll then either tank for a bit (if the team is low on tanks) or switch to Nova if I think I'll survive and we need the damage. Back to Human form to Stygian, either at the end of combat or mid-combat if I need it (at which point I'll also restun/rehold any survivors as well).

    Its just a pity the Change into form animation is a bit long really. I'd love it to be halved to 1 sec.

    Yep, fob em off and let the community dissolve quietly seems to be the approach taken. Which is pretty dire IMO. At least have the guts to make and announce your plans.

    In fact since NCEU got dispersed there's been no word really about the new web site and features that were supposed to be coming "soon"

    Nice. It's lovely when you just get struck by a random inspiration particle like that.

    Although being struck and then getting "Name has already been taken" makes you die a little inside
