Pocket D suppression field
All teleport powers are blocked in Pocket D by intent. Something about griefing or something, though personally I can't see it was ever a problem.
Personally, I'd rather you have manual control over your PvP flag in there, so that you CAN have a bar fight if you want, but that then has the problem of you annoying other patrons...

It's nothing to do with griefing. It's so you can't TP into the Tiki bar without a VIP Gold Card.

That's a bit odd. It's not like there's anything useful in there.
I always thought it was to avoid people being TPed into the dancing cages and made to dance for coins (not pretty when its a 7 foot demon).

I suspect there's a little bit more to it than that. The lifts at each end of the club act as selective barriers for the two factions, use of recall friend would, theoretically, circumvent that and might allow Villains access to Paragon City and Heroes access the The Isles.
Not something the Devs want as the only places the two sides should be mixing is in the PvP zones, RWZ, Cimerora and Pocket D.
Im not saying 'Remove' the power. Im just suggesting they change it so that it doesnt mess with powers which have interupt times, such as the medicine powers, and the self-base teleporter. Just really annoying little details.
I *think* its because the suppresion 'power' counts as an enemy power, not an auto. Ergo, the game thinks your being attacked and interupted. So, make it an auto-power that is granted when you go to Pocket D main?
Anyway, the suppresion field doesnt extend to the foyers anyway, counting out the 'not wanting people to go to other Zones' part. Afaik.

Okay, now that sounds like a fun test...
I'll grab my L50 Corr, and my L42 Defender and see if I can TP my Corr up to the KR entrance...

Midnight Club and RWZ doesn't need any such mechanism to prevent heroes and villains entering the wrong zone.
I assume the new PvP travel power supression doesn't interupt, and blocks TP, so the original suggestion aught to be possible.

I've zoned into the hero side of the lift in the past on one of my villains - the doors into the zones check which side your on so you cannot get out in any event.
Mind of Gaia lvl 50 Defiant's first Mind/Storm 'troller.
Deadly Doc 50 Dark/Dark Corr
and lots more on Pinnacle,Union and Defiant
i think it also prevents ppl from gaining the truck badge while it's not wintersday, so the TP ppl don't have an unfair advantage.
Given you can't TP through walls anyway, and the fact that Fly is by far the easiest way of getting to the Truck, that doesnt really seem like a decent reason.
Anyway, the suggestion isnt about getting rid of the suppresion, is about -Making it so that it doesnt interupt stuff. This does apply to base teleporters, but no other TP power-

I think you'll find that the game can't tell the difference. A teleport power is a teleport power, and therefore will be interrupted.

I think you'll find that the game can't tell the difference. A teleport power is a teleport power, and therefore will be interrupted.

Yes, but the teleport travel power is not interuptable. Base teleporter is.
THinking about it, yes you can simply toddle out of the lifts to use that one, no big hassle. Its more powers like the medicine ones, which I kept trying to use onlyto get interupted because of the constant 'attack' from the field. -le sigh-

even though you can't enter the tiki lounge without a VIP gold card that kinda pointless blocking the TP powers and about greifing i find it more annoying when someone comes in with something like nightfall on so why don't they block those powers
The TP suppression has nothing to do with griefing.
Running Nightfall (or any othe power) is not griefing. If it causes you problems, you are trying to run the game with your graphics settings to high.

IIRC and as someone else has already stated, TP suppression was put in place to prevent people from TPing themselves and/or others into the dance cages and then get stuck in there... which, when done unto others, can be construed as a form of griefing.

Would it be possible to make the TP suppression a passive power? Or something that stops it from interupting powers. Its annoying for RP when trying to use powers like he medicine ones, which are interuptible, or in general, such as the Base teleporter, none of which work in D's main.
