Well, I've never had artwork done for any of my toons before. So this seems like a good possible opportunity to start.

Your Character: Cold Flake

My Character: Street-Knight

Background: Talos Island Boardwalk

Scene: Street-Knight is looking down from a rooftop, club in hand as if ready to leap into action as he watches Cold Flake below, standing on the beach looking quite happy, chipping ice into a snow cone. However, the ice is coming off of someone she has just frozen (and maybe robbed).

So far, I'm liking parts of what I'm seeing here. Had a few issues with the pack that confused me though:

1. Why no fur pattern for the Flat option under Boots? Should not have been that tough to do, though I'm no program so what do I know? But, any reason why that was left out?

2. The Feather Burst emote timing seems off. I use it and the burst happens, but after it starts to settle, the costume then suddenly changes.

Otherwise, not a bad pack so far.

I suppose you could add my mark the the "Weather? Yes!" column. For me, as I've read others having stated, it adds a certain ambiance that I enjoy in such games. Another MMO i play is Anarchy Online and, while the graphics are currently nothing like CoH's, they do have weather effects that seem to add to the feel of the world. It certainly doesn't have to have any sort of game based effect. But to me, it just adds a certain something I've felt CoX has been lacking.

Well, I've definitely got the cash to match up to 200 mil on Virtue. For whenever the next round begins.

if i can sell a nice recipie I have for a tidy sum (That I just got), I might take you up on that as well.

I don't have any heroes set to fall, at least not right now. I do hae a number of villains looking to go blue side though since the ATs fit better for what I wanted. Namely a Crab I designed as a Magical girl (Cause that mace screamed magical sceptre) and a Widow/ninja theme toon. I also had an axe/shield brute based on an old D&D NPC from one of my tabletop games as well as a stalker that I may actually just make a rogue.

I'm sorry, I'm a little confused as to how this works.

You give us influence to buy prestige? For nothing in return? Or am I missing a step here? Thos House would love an influx of prestige but I feel i'm missing s tep that I would need to consider in this process.

Any help is appreciated.

RP Level: RP is prefered in certain channels as per the rules we have on our forums. Hwever, as we are relatively small group yet boast a number of alts (Used to boost prestige), it makes keeping things in RP a little difficult. So we're lax on that rule.

PvP Level: Not required even a little. Your choice.

Theme/Concept: A home for those who cannot fit into normal hero society or seek a refuge that differs from the usual 4-color groups./ We've taken in all kinds of folks from penguins and weevils to demons and former Carnies.

Activity: We've been around for a year, but we still have only a few active members (Although a number of alts). We'll take players from anywhere so times members are on may vary. We have an active coalition with The Dojo and constant friendly relations with The Legendary (although no coalition yet, though we're next in line when they do another purge and we share memberships throughout all three groups.). So we tend to team up alot with members from each.

Requirements for Membership: We have no actual uniforms so anything goes for your costume. So long as you're a friendly sort, we'll take most anyone.

Other Details: Think of the House as something of a superhero hostel. We don't care if you come and go and we're open to anyone. We only ask that you play well with others and have fun. We don't require SG Mode though it's encouraged to make the House a better place to live. Currently, our base is fully functional although there's alot of asthetic work that's being done. We also have a Build-Your-Own-Room program (thanks to Songbird's Refuge for the idea) where earning enough prestige can earn you your own plot (a 2 floor 2x1 @ 300k or a 3x3 for 1 mil) to design as you see fit (Assuming the prestige is there of course).

I have a number of toons that tend to use the NR+Sprint combo partially because it worked with their theme:

Cherry and Lemon: My two combat Maids (DB/SR Scrapper and WP/WM Tanker)
Monkey-Suit: He's a monkey. 'Nuff said.
Silent Blossom, Raiiki, and (Ninja MM whose name escapes me): Ninjas. Also nuff said.

I have a few others I can't quite recall. But usually, I look to the theme and see if a travel power or NR fits better (Like my Inv/SS Tanker Bruno Mishka. A hulk of a guy who SL seemed to fit)

And I have to agree with the original post. There's something to be said about the enjoyment of going superhero parkour with NR+sprint (Tending to take both fitness tree powers as well).

I don't often post, but this is something that definitely caught my eye.

Besides CoH, I'm also a long running fan of the MMO Anarchy Online. One thing they incorporated into that was apartments. And I'm wondering if something like how AO did it would work in CoH.

For those not familair with AO and how their apartments work, basically you find one of the buildings and click on a door, the door takes you to an instance specifically for you as a small apartment/room you can furnish how you see fit. You are provided with a 'key' that allows you accss to that apartment when you click on the same door. For most, the basic apartments supplied are small, 2 room unfurnished places. With several expansions, they incorporated some function into the "luxury" and "orbital" apartments such as Grid access (Think Mass TP system), access to the global market (WW) and the bank (Personal Storage). However, the luxury and orbital apartments did require you to purchase an expansion or use their "Paid Point" system to aquire one.

I would love to see something like that. A Hero House Project if you would. Perhaps incorporating such access like WW (Maybe via a computer terminal as part of the apartment design) and a personal storage access. Probably not too many features to overshadow actual SG bases.

Also, they could then incorporate the use of influence to buy small, design items for the apartment (Or just design them as being fully furnished (Whatever works).

Of course, I know zip about programming games and can only begin to imagine the endeavor it would be to incorporate something like this. It's just a nice-to-dream thought. ^_^

Well, I have three I've always been fond of.

1. My only level 50, Silindria, is a Fire/Fire/BM(Epic) and I've been enjoying the hell out of it. I always love leading with a double boost, FSC and a point blank fireball before finishing off anyone who's still alive. That and I'm partially fond of the Health/End heals as well as the rez. Just a fun combo all in all.

2. Currently, I'm working on a speedster theme (Speedway) with MA/SR. Sure, pretty common and stereotypical, but it fits the style I was going for. I also have yet to look at the new MA animations so hopefully I can thematically design him a bit better.

3. Also, I'm working on an Elec/elec Scrapper named Base-load (A variant of my global since the original's taken on virtue). So far, what I've seen is interesting. But i'm not far enough along to see what else the combo can do.

At some point I'd love to try a /regen as I've never played with that pool before.

Well, I have a tanker that needs a few animation changes and my Fire/fire scrapper that needs a respec and aura coloring. I may remake my Elec/Elec Blaster into an E/E scrapper.

My apologies if this is noobish, but i'm still learning the ins and outs of caps and such.

is there a cap on how much damage an archtype can dish out or be boosted by?

My Fire/fire Scrapper was my first (And still only) 50 and is a blast to play.

i'm currently working towards getting in IO sets that give Damage Set bonuses to maximize how much I can dish out when I charge in and drop a 7, 6, 5 (Firey Embrace + Build up + FSC - I just call it that since it's my keyboard setup)

However, once i16 hits, I'm planning on specing out Breath of Fire, Blazing Aura, and tactics for 3 off of Blazing Mastery. BoF I'm swapping for Fireball as I never seem to be able to catch more than 1 target with my BoF and probably picking up char and Melt Armor.

Anyone have suggestions regarding that?

Here's a couple tips that I've come across for Prestige Earning

1. Work all of your contacts all the way through. Mission completion prestige is a nice little boost. Be sure to turn off XP all all the appropriate times to be sure you get all the missions and contacts from your current contact. It can be time consuming, but it can earn you quite a bit as you play through the game.

2. AE. While normally I do not care for farming, if you can get enough tickets to make a roll on the Gold Recipie tables, you might end up with a recipie that sells for millions. And while the exchange rate is not the best (understandably so), a recipie could net you enough for up to 400k prestige. Plus there's the prestige from the missions.

I hear you. I'm stuck at work as well for another 2 hours. THEN I get to go to class for another 3-4 hours.
