  1. I can get into the store from my character screen. Are you sure it isn't the NC Master security thing? That just locked me out of one of my accounts.
  2. If you get the questions wrong five times you are locked out of your master account.

I hope you all have good memories. There should have been an option to put in new information rather than hope people can remember what was said years ago. I for one NEVER give real info (mothers maiden name etc) that is bad security.

There is the search window. Open Team on your game window and you can search for players there. Purple names are team leaders.

All servers will have server-wide channels where teams are formed. If you state which server you're on, I'm sure someone will post a list of channels on your server.

You can also search for channels by clicking on the tab button of your chat window and doing search. Start using your server name. Join channel. Then right click on a chat tab and you can move that channel into whatever tab you want by moving it from the right window to the left.

    Welcome.

    EDIT:
I'd use the server global channels. There are plenty of knowledgeable people there. Who will give you real advice.
  4. I don't like the sound of this.

    1) I agree that forums and game accounts should have different passwords but it was NCSoft who decided that our forum logins should be the same as our NC login. That was a dumb plan at the start.

    2) To purchase the boosters I use a proxy because otherwise I can't see the booster packs on the NCStore. It decides I'm in the UK and won't show me the USA links which are INVARIABLY up and working much much sooner than the EU store. How am I supposed to purchase items with this system.

    More information required.
  5. This is my current build but playing her she always seems on the edge of death. Solo at 0 x4 is doable but an Apex is just near-perma death even with level shift slotted.

I'd appreciate any ideas/comments/criticisms. Maybe it's my playstyle or I'm teaming with some really lousy brutes/tanks but compared to my D3 she is just SO fragile and frustrating.

    Thank you.

    MORE DEF OPTION

I did consider pumping more def but was concerned about losing the res and the dark APP. I haven't fully finished this option (as you can see by 3 spare slots and one unused power) but it was something I was fiddling with.

  6. I'd say the horror was you, Kotchie. I sincerely hope they reported you for griefing; there was absolutely zero reason to kick them from that second run.
  7. Capa_Devans

    Just to brag...

Actually we did sub 20 minutes on two consecutive runs.

First run 19.07 then followed by a restful 19.45.
  8. Leadouts. My main is a stalker and they're annoying.

So you just want an argument stalker v scrapper? No thanks.

I'd take whoever sent the first tell. And I don't want to be ON a team lead by someone who wouldn't.

There are good and bad points to both ATs. There are good and bad points to the players of both ATs. I've seen some great and some terrible players of both ATs.

My main is a stalker and I can take her on ANY TF/SF I choose. She has every Master of Badge going. If you're refused TF invites then I don't think that's the problem of the AT. At BEST it's people assuming you're going to stealth. I prefer to kill and I have that in my bio; "don't assume I'm going to stealth and I won't assume you're an idiot".

It's not the AT, it's the player.
  10. Same here. Very long game load time from clicking on game icon to character selection. Started since i19.5. No other changes to drivers etc.

No idea what you guys did, but please put it back because this is horrible.
  11. Knives, Orebega caves and that horrible hero alignment mission set in GV.

    I hate it when:

Decent players DC rather than the useless ones that don't listen.

I picked it up on my DB/WP last respec and I like it.

I tend to use it for the more nasty alphas when solo'ing; SM, BU, AS, slash slash slash. It was a squeeze to fit it in even after inherent fitness, but I'm glad I did. On teams, it's my 'embarrass the scrapper/brute/tank' power. "Oooooh you're DEAD; don't worry, I'll just clear this room and you can use a wakie." Yeah, I can be a bit mean like that.
  15. So the WTF is going to continue after i20? To get Notice of the Wells?
  16. I like the idea of suppression but then I don't stay at the market with pets/toggles, so I'm already resummoning/turning toggles on when I leave.

I can see how suppression would be more tricky redside so the idea of a 'quiet, suppressed room' would be good. Personally I wouldn't like the 50/50 split because the most convenient place (vendor, market and base portal) is Cap. There's no benefit if that is 'as-is'.

However, the thing I'd most like to see is a market terminal in the base (and a tailor plus AE craft pad working there). This is something I'd get in ALL my bases. Usually when I'm crafting I'm hopping from the base (salvage), to the market (salvage), back to base (crafting and storage) and back to the market (sales). That saving of zoning would be lovely.
  17. Omega Shockwave runs frequent and successful CoPs on Guardian and this is pretty much his game plan.

It isn't really popular which is unsurprising given the coordination required and shoddy rewards. The merits are derisory, and I'd rather cube the incarnate reward than stand around for an hours set up for a 20 minute GOOD trial or an hours bad one. (To be fair Omega is very good; he starts at most 10mins after scheduled time, gets into the Cathedral first attempt and has a great success rate.)
  18. *hunts for thread*

    *finds thread*

*hauls thread back to where it can be found*

Sticky? Please? Stick stick stick sticky?!

    Thanks.
  19. 1. Solo and small team friendly rare and very rare Alpha Slot options plus solo and small team friendly Incarnate content.

    2. Offline invite to SG/VG - I run two accounts but I have helped enough people who run solo SG/VGs to understand it's a pain.

    3. End to base rent. It's minimal to even a solo SG/VG just irritating to have to pay it when the lights go out.
  20. PeerlessGirl if you are incapable of showing some empathy to those who aren't in your situation then you're going to have a pretty rough ride in the real world. There's been plenty of examples in this thread of why people solo and many of them are things they cannot change (medical issues, other commitments).

Those soloists are players who love this game, who have supported it want to continue doing so. That is not whining, that is wanting to continue supporting something which they enjoy. Having a medical condition or family commitments should not exclude the ability to have fun.

I really don't see why ANYONE can justify being opposed to the game content as a whole being available to soloists AND teams.

Soloists are asking to be able to unlock and build/enhance Incarnates solo to the FULLEST extent available in the game as a whole. They're asking for soloable Incarnate content. That is only asking for parity with those who can/will team.

Not one soloist has said "no incarnate content for teams" because that would be a jerk move. It's a shame that so many (and I'm including NC at the moment) are coming with that attitude to soloists and those who prefer small teams consisting only of friends.
  21. From the Strike Pack thread:

The Weekly Strike Target is the only means of obtaining rare and very rare Alpha Slot abilities before Issue 20. We understand that this means grouping. The addition of the WST will make finding a group for the focused content easier; we believe that people will run the WST multiple times, either to earn the badge or to earn the increased rewards on multiple characters, or even just because it will be easier to find a group for it. Also, to get yourself a single rare ability and earn the level shift will only require running the WST once, and to get a very rare ability it will only take two additional runs. If that’s not your cup of tea, the Incarnate Trials in Issue 20 are going to be an alternative means of obtaining the same abilities.

We are investigating a variety of strategies for the solo player to engage the system as well in the future. No one is more excited than I about the excitement concerning the Alpha Slot and the Incarnate system, and we want to offer more ways for people to participate and enjoy the content they love. On the other claw, sometimes in developing a massively multiplayer game we are going to have content which encourages and rewards multiplayer play.

Let me tell you how I read this:

If you want to advance your incarnate character (the initiation of which could be done solo), then you WILL team.

If you don't like teaming then tough because your option in I20 will be Trials. IE like the Cathedral of Pain Trial.

We haven't got any mechanism planned for i20 which allows you to solo to get top tier Incarnate abilities. In fact we haven't really thought about any content for them at all.

    • If you can't team because you may need to afk/leave quickly - tough.
    • If you want to be in a small team - tough.
    • If you or your computer can't handle a Raid or Trial - tough.
    • If you actually want to play rather than sit around waiting for a Trial or TF to be organized (and I am looking at you CoP Trial) - tough.

So basically you're confirming here that solo'ists and those who prefer small teams are out of luck.

    Lovely.

Those 'soloists' ARE multiplaying but not in the way seen by your limited view.
    • They're interacting on the market.
    • They're interacting in chat; especially helping people because they CAN stop and explain which you can't do if you're in a fight on a TF.
    • They're probably telling their friends about the game who may well be a different element of your player base.

I am not a rabid solo'er. However, I do solo and I would like to think I can work on my Incarnate stuff when I am solo'ing. I don't want to be forced into doing eight Trials to advance because frankly I might as well log out for the period it takes to set them up; at least I'd be getting credit on my day jobs.
  22. Yes, I'm still doing them; we pulled off a successful MoSTF and MoKhan since my last post.

I admit that I've reduced the frequency of them because I was getting a little burnt out.

Which ones do you need. I still see my crib-sheet reminder list above.
