If you are in the 30-35 range, you can get new mission in both Nerva and St. Martial. If you are out of new stuff in one of those zones, try the other.
  2. The good news is that practically no one knows what that means, so you don't have to worry about most people catching your mistakes.
  3. I'm male and my characters are mostly, but not exclusively, male. Of my 8 level 50 characters, 7 are male.

I think it's because I find the male characters easier to relate to.
  4. I had a heck of a time on my Mind/Psy Dominator. I needed a whole rack of break-frees and a few trips to the elevator or I was going to get perma-held all over the place.

A larger amount of simple missions in the tip pool would spread out the more complex missions, making them stand out more while also feeling less repetitive.
When was the last time the devs even came close to making 150 missions in an issue? I mean, we could use more, but I'm not complaining that they started with "only" 150.

  8. I have no interesting in moving to Freedom or Virtue.
  9. Thank you, that did it.

I had to stand at a certain angle and sort of "feel" around for the right spot, but with your help I managed to find where to click.

This is the internet. Your sanity will probably be easier to maintain if you don't think too much about why people do things and just sort of treat people's behavior the way you treat the weather.

    Painful Decision

Freedom and Virtue are the two most populated servers, so they would be the places to look. From what you said, you would seem to be a better fit for Freedom, but of course your milage may vary.
  12. I'm on the last missions of Mako's second arc in the 40-45 range, which is called "The Perfect Killing Machine". The mission in question is called "Steal Primal Essense of the Leviathan".

In this missions, I'm supposed to:

Destroy 4 Fonts of power - done.

Defeat Calystix the Shaper - done.

    Enact the Ritual

    Defeat Mako

I can't figure out how to Enact the Ritual. There doesn't seem to be anything I can find that I can click on. I don't have any temp powers that seem to be part of this mission. I'm not sure what else it could be that I'm supposed to do. I could drop it, of course, but I wanted to fight Mako.

Can anyone remember what it is I am supposed to do here? Is it just a clickie that I'm not finding?
  13. On the villain side, you need to do one of the so-called "Patron Arcs" to unlock the epic power pools. If you talk to Arbiter Rein, who is standing outside the main Arachnos building in Grandville, he provides information about the patron arcs and the epic powers in his little mini-arc.

The Patron arcs are faily cool content, although they can be a bit overwhelming depending on your character.
  14. If the devs are planning to make pool powers and the like customizable, they'll need to do something to the costume creator. If.
  15. I've got a character who developed super duper martial arts powers after being bit by a rabid, radioactive martial arts expert.
  16. When I do the hero respec, I go get a book or a sudoku puzzle or something for the reactor room. Otherwise there's a good chance I will fall asleep.

I love the idea of having some way to trigger the next wave.
  17. Prices fluxuate for all kinds of reasons. Unless you give us a hint which prices you are talking about, no one is going to have any theories for you.
  18. Just for the record: No.

I'm on a lower population server, so I don't get bugged much. I'm pretty sure the answer would be yes if I were on Freedom or Virtue.
  19. He's a lot easier if you can get the heck out the way when he fires off his healing power. Range in a good thing in this case.
  20. Isn't it possible that the declines in population have nothing to do with marketing or the devs or the lack of server merges, but are just the natural, slow, inevitable decline of population that would be experienced by any 6 year old MMO?

Don't give up on Victory until you've joined the global channels "Victory Forum" and "Victory Badges". A lot of the action on the server has migrated over to the global channels in the last few years. It's no Freedom, but it's not a ghost town either. You just have to know where to look for the action.

    Oh, and welcome back.

It's a bummer, disappointment, etc. but calling it ironic is stretching the definition both of irony and wedding. Nowhere in the definition of wedding is the word sunny. Scheduling an outdoor wedding comes with risks of bad weather, but not irony.

Irony is if you had rain during a Clearskies Festival.
I think it would be ironic if it rained on the outdoor wedding festivities of a pair of meteorologists.

I understand having loyalty to your chosen server to a degree, I do, but honestly, many of the servers are seriously underpopulated these days, especially compared to how they used to be. To pretend the populations haven't been steadily shrinking because you have "no problems" finding a team is sticking your head in the sand.

Sooner or later, the devs are going to need to cope with the fact that some servers have populations that are drying up. As someone pointed out, it's not good for the game for a new player to log in the first time, select a server at random, and see no one else around. Eventually, something will need to be done: a server merge, a single-server solution, something.

You can stick your fingers in your ears all you want but there is a reality that while you might enjoy playing on a server where you can usually pretend successfully that it's a single player game, this is not good for a business, and a business decision is likely to be made at some point that is probably going to make you very unhappy.

It'd be alot more productive to talk about real solutions to dwindling populations on some servers and thus have at least some voice in shaping that eventual solution than to keep asserting that everything is fine and nothing needs to change, ever. Because like it or not, that's probably not true.
Funny how all the experts on how terrible it is to be on a low population server never actually play on the low population servers, isn't it.
  25. Isn't there already a server for people who like crowded servers? That's what server transfers are all about. I don't see would be gained by forcing everyone into a situation they didn't want.

Just move to Freedom or Virtue and leave the rest of us alone. That way everyone can be happy.
