Many thanks to those who took part in the EoE gathering / Monster bashing last night.
The team of 8 had 9 monsters on the go at one stage!
My dark/dark defender picked up 13 EoE's over the course of the event! -
Well this is one way to show that I've been playing the game for a long time. Matters such as this have become cyclical! We've been here before where someone gets ideas above their station and does something stupid which they will regret (I am assuming that Kendai will regret the actions taken).
Yes, it's a pain that Defiant Events has been hijacked. I haven't been on a great deal but when I was I didn't think that matters were out of hand. A bit of banter, but easy enough to see who was arranging what. All that will happen is another channel will be set up, Defiant Events will become a ghost town, and Kendai will be ostracised by the majority of the community.
The ball is in Kendai's court.... -
....17, that's at least one third of what we need so far! Let's get promoting in game and get the number up to the 40's asap.
-
Going to the opposite end of the scale, I remember it getting to about 45c in the summer where I grew up in Australia (Deniliquin). We used to be sent home from school when it hit 42c.
Since I've been in the UK (1989) the lowest I've experienced is -11c and that was December last year. That was cold enough for me thanks! -
A good place to start would be the Villain Group thread to see who has advertised that they are looking for members, or the SG/VG rankings thread to see which VG's are active.
Armed with this information you can then hit the Defiant Events channel as Silent_ has recommended and see if you can track down those with invite privileges. I'd offer up the Order of the Crucified Swords but the group has been very quiet over the last 12-18 months and wouldn't be the best to get involved in VG events. -
Quote:I think it's part of the induction programme...if you can survive dealing with that EU lot we will let you stay on!It's been a very hectic 2 weeks since I started here at Paragon, so thanks for bearing with me and my sporadic check-ins.
As echoed by others, your input and interest is very welcome. The fact that the chance of arranging a meet has been tabled is a start. "Build it and they will come" - based on previous player meets the EU customers will be there ready to ask questions, offer opinions, lay down PvP challenges (maybe not so often nowadays), race task forces, and most importantly, socialise (the use of a drink, or two, is optional). -
I will be there - and will bring my dark/dark defender to assist with the Howling Twilight duties!
-
Yes, I meant to mention that as well, adding close to 20.5m prestige over the four and a half month period (second only to GGRRR's 21.3m) is worthy of a hearty back slap or two!
-
The last chart was compiled on 1 October 2010, so I thought it was time for an update!
It's been a learning curve for me, but hopefully the latest (as at 15 Feb 2011) Top 100 Groups can be viewed at the following...
http://www.sjcameron66.webspace.virginmedia.com/
As a summary....
- The Karma Police remain in #1 spot (Congratulations)
- GGRRR have taken over #2 spot from Generic Supergroup 101 (down to #3)
- Murders Unlimited have dropped to #5 but are still the highest ranked Villain Group
- The Knights of the World have rocketed up 33 spots to #29 having bolstered their prestige by a considerable 63.33% since the last chart
- Imperium Romanorum lead the new entries by hitting the chart at #47. They lead the eight new entries into the Top 100.
- We bid farewell to Amazon Stars, Knights of Paragon City, The Blackguard, The Wiccan Warriors, Knights of the City, The Gathering, The ICONites and Honourable United who have all fallen out of the Top 100.

I occasionally read the forums during lunch (any time between 1200 and 1400), but more often it will be in the evenings, from 1930 onwards.
Any other comments have already been picked up by the previous posters. And, yes, another who would appreciate the server list being merged! -
OotCS is still there!!! As is Plight Trawler - as if you would ever be kicked.
Welcome back, and I look forward to catching up with you, and teaming, in game. -
Firstly, welcome back!! It's been a lonely life in the swords over the past 12 months or so, but the Echies have been very kind and good company!
As Master Zap has already said, the old Hami raids are a thing of the past. There are some good guides on how to tackle the new style Hami Raid and as Lady Arete has offered up advice and a guide that's a good place to start!
Also, am more than happy to sign up for a Hami goo fest with choices of...
Claws / Invul Scrapper
Empath / Rad Defender
Dark / Dark Defender
Weekends will be best for me, unless we are talking about 8.00pm (UK time) onwards on a weekday. -
Okay....
- Taking about 570 hours to get my first lvl 50 (Tridento)
- The old style hami raids - with repeated requests for no auras, no capes, and keep fx to minimum! The chance to go on raids was an added reward for getting to Lvl 45.
- Base raids - which invariably ended up as spawn point slaughters
- The Hollows prior to temp travel powers - Grendal's Gulch saw the end of many a hero on their way to a mission!
- The Caves Trial in the Hollows - when we used to fight our way to the cave!
- Being paid 1m inf to awaken Igneous groups in the Hollows for two high level heroes who needed them for their badge
- The player meets in Brighton, including meeting War Witch
-
Sounds like a good idea, shall look to be there!
-
Congratulations on the addition to the family!
Did you have to check and see if the name selected was available? Or will you play it safe and call him Generic Boy 1734?
18 years or so? Yeah, right! With a 26yo and a 19yo we still have the same demands (if anything, more expensive!) - that said, the mrs wouldn't have it any other way as they are both still her "babies". -
Have not encountered the problem again since the update to I19.

Quote:Having left the updater whilst I prepared and had dinner I came back online to find that I was up to the 235th attempt to connect.Could set it to bypass the launcher entirely to take you to log in screen, just remember to unset it when its patch day.

Has the details you need to edit your game shortcut with.
I followed the above advice and avoided the updater altogether, worked fine. -
Gutted that I missed this having had high expectations of being present and representing the green and gold.
Had to make do with watching the cricket in the hotel bar in Birmingham instead, a lonely antipodean voice amongst the poms. -
I am waiting to see what is happening family wise that weekend before committing one way or the other. That weekend marks my son's first week at uni and he will probably be coming home (the dirty washing run).
-
.....sigh.....
Liking the 4/2 approach, and I will be joining the chat channel eventually! Probably about two weeks for my new pc to be in place (my 6 year veteran PC sort of died).
Looking forward to reading all about GR and the new SG's on the forum in the meantime. -
After six years of use (and abuse) my pc has given up the ghost. If I can sort out a new pc and get it all set up today (along with playing in a cricket match) then I will be there.
