Welcome to the game!

I can't help you with a supergroup, but I can guide you to the channel where everything happens.

On the Top and Bottom panes of the Chat Window, you can can create or join a channel by clicking on the "Chat" tab. There you can select "Join Channel" If you type in "Defiant Events" and click OK - then double click on the Defiant Events from the right window it should jump to the left Window Chat window. Now you will see all the events going on.

or you can type into your chat box /chanjoin Defiant Events

Sorry I hope thats right, im not at home at the moment and don't have the game at work

A good place to start would be the Villain Group thread to see who has advertised that they are looking for members, or the SG/VG rankings thread to see which VG's are active.

Armed with this information you can then hit the Defiant Events channel as Silent_ has recommended and see if you can track down those with invite privileges. I'd offer up the Order of the Crucified Swords but the group has been very quiet over the last 12-18 months and wouldn't be the best to get involved in VG events.

Order of the Cruciform/Crucified Swords - Defiant
50's - Tridento (claws/invul scrapper), Robo Medic MkIV (empath/rad defender), Entrino (dark/dark defender) & Captain Wombat (thugs/traps mastermind)

Welcome to the game and the forum, even if you are on the wrong side of the law

Joining the Defaint Events global chat channel is the best move any new player can make - Most of the missions in the game take place on instanced maps rather than zones, so zones can sometimes seem quiet, even if there are a lot of players around, as they're mostly on the instanced maps.
The Defiant Events channel will put you in touch with lots of other players, regardless of where they are in the game.
