Quote:ThisFire Armor just pays off with Brutes more so than Scrappers!
Fiery Embrace is effected by Fury, not so by Crits.
Burn is effected by Fury, not so by Crits.
Healing Flames and Siphon Life give bigger heals due to Brutes higher health.
90% Fire Resist (Brutes) vs 75% Fire Resist (Scrappers).
Blazing Aura, also effected by Fury and not by Crits.
I don't recall the Single Target DPS difference. And Scrappers do make out better on Soul Drain.
But, with it being a DM/FA pairing, I'd say Brutes make out better on this combo than Scrappers.
And as a Brute you can add in Gloom.
The only thing I would add is that Blazing Aura for brutes has taunt and Scrappers doesn't. Just because of that I can't play a /FA Scrapper anymore. The mobs are always running away when I play with my /FA Scrapper -
Quote:You can not run this chain without gaps. The best ST attack chain for Dark Melee is Midnight Grasp-Smite-Siphon Life-Smite. This is also a very high recharge chain and needs 234% recharge in Midnight Grasp
Shadow Punch: A minor damaging single target attack. Fast recharge.
I reccomend against taking it, if only because you'll never get a chance to use it since you'll have so much recharge that you could have a chain of Siphon Life-Midnight Grasp-Siphon Life-Midnight Grasp for all your single target needs.
While leveling Shadow Punch is a very nice attack to have.
Quote:Healing Flames: Moderate self healing power, grants resistance to toxic.
It’s a great heal, and every once in a while you’ll actually need it. Definitely before your final build, anyhow. Take it, slot it, love it.
Quote:Fiery Embrace: Adds a fire damage bonus to your attacks for 20 seconds. 180 second downtime.
With perma soul drain, this is somewhat of an afterthought. I find myself using it only on AV fights, but it’s still quite useful if you can afford to pick it up.
Quote:Siphon Life: Superior damage attack and minor heal.
It does awesome damage, and it happens to heal you. That's just awesome. Please note--do not slot this for heal only. Make no mistake, this attack is a superior damaging attack, and it's base heal is only 10%--an afterthought, really. -
I have solo Trapdoor on all of my 50's. Most are Scrapper and Brutes but I do have most AT's at 50.
Here is a guide on how to solo Trapdoor. -

As long as I can get in on my Android phone too. -
Quote:You should just be able to switch FB with QB in the chain above giving youAre there any good chains including Focused Burst instead of Quick Blow?
BB SB FB BB SB CS
I don't know what the DPS is but it will lower your DPS by 10 because FB is that much lower in DPS than QS. Also because of the longer cast time of FB it will lower it more because you can't get back to your better attacks faster. -
Quote:I agree I think it would be great too.Well, now that you mention it....
Seriously, it makes no sense for pieces that are supposed to graphically represent the splendor and power of the Incarnate be available to level 10s. Having certain auras and pieces available only to Incarnates would be great IMO and provide an immediate (but optional) way to show that a character has ascended. -

Quote:The Incarnate stuff has had minimal effect on my playstyle. The only change is that it's given me one more thing to think about when I decide to log in. I've been playing my 50s more because there's more for them to do, but I'm still doing everything I was doing before i19 came out, just at a slower pace.
I refuse to be in a hurry to get anywhere in an MMO, and I refuse to do anything that feels like "grind" to me. When I start feeling like I am grinding, then it's time to log out and read a book. And if everything feels like "grinding" then it's time to take a break from the game.
I never will understand why people continue to use their leisure time to do something they aren't even enjoying.
This is about the same for me and how I feel.
I play what I want to play. I do have 6 50's with the level shift but they are the ones that I was playing the most before the Incarnate System. I have a lot more 50s that will never get the Alpha slot slotted.
I'm in no rush to do the WST with all my characters because I know it is going no where, it will be here every week so I just do it when I want I think it will be fun. -
Quote:Yeah this is very annoying. With a Range Character it isn't that bad but if you're on a melee you're lucky to get one Council per group. The last time I was on a Numina TF I took the Boomtown - defeat 20 Council - task. It was a pain because the 5th Column almost always wiped them out before I could get in range.

I saw this the other day. I love the first 3 books and I have the 4th just didn't read it yet. I didn't want to read the 4th till I knew this one was out and I won't believe it till I have the book on my Kindle

Sweet!!!
Can't wait to watch this -

I had the same problem
All you need to do is close the NCSoft Launcher after you have one window open. Then reopen Launcher and you should be able to open another window. That is what I do. -
Quote:Claws/Fire Brute is my suggestion. Now let me tell you why.
So I vote Claws/Fire Brute.
I would have to say Claws/Fire Brute too.
It is a really fun combo to play.
Also you get Shockwave too which is a good power too. It does a lot of KB but if you know how to use it, it will help you do more AoE damage and help keep you alive. -
Nope but I'm not a big fan of having a slot being a pet either.
