  1. I've gone through First Ward twice now... Once solo with a claws Stalker and once as the support half of an SJ Stalker/Time Defender duo. I didn't find it excessively difficult with either character, but there are definitely some annoying bits.

The agressive NPCs in the graveyard full of distractions is certainly one... Officer Orb being completely unable to follow my Stalker in Hide was another... The constant ambushes are just something I've gotten used to (They seem to be the default mission design in Praetoria. <_<), but having them run up on me before I was even half-way through reading the first of several text screens was *not* a Good Thing... And, yeah. I got a little weary of having to dodge the space-whale and his vicious little seedling friends while I flew back and forth between the tower and the multiple people who were determined to send me there over and over and over again.

That said, I liked the story itself. The sharks rule and the zone has an incredible amount of detail in it... The little fish jumping in the shallows, the hollow Seed shell (With a badge in it! XD) and the tumbleweeds that we can actually knock around and play with are all personal favorites. I squeed about all of those things when I found them.
  2. I really only have two reason for wanting to see the Crows CCE in particular as either a global unlock in the game or in the market...

    a) It suits almost all of the characters I have currently in-game very, very well. All of my bird-things, certainly, plus the three Oranbegans, the raksha and the two magi. They couldn't ask for a better new toy, and it seems like a shame not to get it for them. But that represents a freakin' lot of repetition. A LOT of repetition... Seriously, we're talking 40-some characters here, on four different servers. o_0 ... Who has time for that? Especially since it's not a solo or duo-friendly mission, and I'll be entirely dependant on being able to find a team to run it. That kills any chance of being able to knock off alts here or there at odd hours.

And, b) It would also be great for two up-coming characters (Papageno and Abyssal) who can't even be rolled or played in their "real" forms yet. All I have for them are place-holders until the Titan Weapons set goes live... Even if that happens the same day the event starts, there's no way I'd get them both to 15 in time to run this thing. Especially not if I'm also trying to run the thing on the rest of the crew... It stinks that they'll have to wait a year because of release timing.

I can see the same problems for someone building a Roman Legion or a horde of Santa's Elves...

    So, yeah... +1
    Big +1
    Please-take-pity-on-people-buried-in-a-pile-of-alts +1

  5. We have a real lack of feathery-looking bits in this game... and more creepy eyeballs is ALWAYS a Good Thing... so +1 on this. I'd love to have the Rulu-Shin costume parts.
  6. He's still going to sulk. After all, you just rejected him for that weirdo in the armor.
  7. One question about the CCE Crows and the Bats aura... Are they per-character unlocks or account-wide? (I'm seriously hoping account-wide. Otherwise I'm going to have to run this thing on every one of my bird-things. I have a lot of them. A really... sort-of ridiculous number of them. o_0)

So, instead of getting them on the billing date, did we all once again get our points just like in September?

Chime in and let's find out!
    Her.

    <- is a girl-type geek.

But, yeah. My billing date is the 19th according to the account page and I got my points yesterday. No rewards token, though.
  9. My empath (Whose name is Karasu ) approves of the new costume change emote. She'll be having that, I think. ^_^

I share your boggle... Mine's the 19th and I also got my points today.
  11. There are definitely a whole crop of new players running around on Liberty these days... I've been making an effort to team and chat with a lot of them, and that's turned out to be a heck of a lot of fun. Even if I have had to explain the whole "Freem" reference more times than any rational human being ever ought to have to.

For what it's worth, I really didn't like what happened to Cerulean and his faction of the Carnival. It bothered me that Whisper, the little claws stalker that I took through the First Ward arcs, had to do what she did to them. That, and the bit with Savage, made me grumble a lot more than just putting Katie back into the network for awhile.

First Ward... Where it's all about doing horrible things to your friends.
  13. All I'm going to say is that there's a reason I don't play on Freedom... and frankly, if Exalted ever becomes "Freedom 2.0", I doubt I'll keep playing there either. >_>
  14. The Orb from First Ward has the same problem. I had to drop Hide to get it to notice my character was there when I entered the mission, and had to keep it off to get it to follow me. 'Not exactly a Good Thing when you're playing a Stalker.

    Nope.

I thought at first that it might be a size issue... But no, it turns out you can't give any Inspirations at all to a free player. I tried it with some small greens on a freebie team-mate yesterday and it still didn't work.

I have an SJ brute, while FCM made an SJ stalker... Having seen both in action for a few levels now, I'd have to say that his is (at least at this point in their development-) punch-for-punch somewhat more dangerous than mine.

I'm not a number-cruncher, so I don't have combat logs or anything more substantial than observation to prove that, but just watching what they can do to goons? That stalker tends to chew through the Praetorian mobs a lot faster than my guy goes through blue-side Primal ones, even when my Time defender isn't throwing buffs on him.
  17. As someone else who's been making an effort to team with new players, I still want to know why we can't drop Inspirations on Freems... That's just a silly and annoying limitation all around, and one that did NOT exist for old trial accounts.
  18. And many, many alien butts shall be kicked...
  19. My fellow, Anigan, is supposed to look a bit like one of those Victorian tough-guy, bare-knuckled boxer types.

(He's one of a trio of steam-punkish themed characters I made when the latest issue went live, and so needed to match the other two's general look... He's a SJ/WP brute. The other two are Pamina (Dark^2 Blaster) and Tamino (Time/Fire Defender). They're Elysion Shard-natives affiliated with Silos and the Menders; sort-of part-time temporal explorers.)

Yeah. I can kind-of see why they added the communication restrictions, but this one just baffles me... We could drop Inspirations on trial account users with no problem, but it's not allowed with freebies? 'Not a Good Thing in my opinion, and I said as much several times in Beta.

Seriously, would it really open the game to horrible RMT abuse if I'd been able to drop a breakfree on the little newbie fire-blaster Anigan was running DfB with yesterday? Would NCSoft really take a huge monitary hit if I had been able to hand her a couple of greens when she needed them?

    Somehow, I don't think so...

    Indeed.

Phipps and Daos are both high on my own "What I wouldn't give for a 'Deck this Creep' dialogue option" list. Then again, the last character I ran into them with was Kestrel, and she's... Well, let's just say she's got a bit of a temper. XD
  22. I have to agree with Bill... There have been times when I've had to post some pretty extensive piles of text to explain something properly, or to walk someone through a trouble spot. You can't always give a solid answer in twenty words or less, and it would be annoying for everyone involved if the system set some kind of arbitrary limit on who could reply and how often.

I know the Help channel is getting more cluttered than it ought to be on most of our servers. As I've said before, I'm far from one of those "content nazi"-types who gets really upset at OT posts... I don't mind chatter in moderation at all... But even I'm starting to have trouble sorting the signal from the noise sometimes. That's not a Good Thing.

We do need to come up with a solution. I just don't think a cooldown timer on posting is the right one.

    Missuse of /hc ?

I leave it on in spite of the chatter... I think it can still serve its intended purpose as long as there are enough of us there who are willing to make a good faith effort when it comes to posting answers. I don't think just abandoning the channel accomplishes anything.

I guess time will tell if I'm right about that or if I'm just being an overly-optimistic idiot. Either's possible.
  24. I'm not a fan of the character. To be honest, I consider Dez horribly annoying as an NPC, and I wouldn't miss her in the least if she vanished completely. (Taking Overdrive with her, if we got really lucky. <_<)

But, as someone pointed out in another thread not so long ago, she's pretty obviously designed to be a "booth babe"-friendly marketing tool for the game. Given that, we're probably stuck with her.
