I don't know, I always found all the Defense Sets (SR, WP, ect) to be tight. They've just gotten that good.
Stalkers are now less tight though. Since their Primary was also very power heavy. -
Quote:Hmmm...now I wonder if I could of soloed Weakened Honoree without the use, might have taken WAY longer though. Hmmm...I'll again later when if they give it flashback access or once I get the proc I'm working towards.I solo'd it set to AVs with my KM/Ela scrapper.
Trapdoor was a breeze, I didn't mess with the clones, I just attacked until he dropped.
I went around and beat all the Rikti portals and Rikti, then I had to separate Weakened Honoree from Captain Holtz and pull him to the other room. Captain Holtz doesn't like to leave that room so that was fine by me.
Weakened Honoree took a LOOOONG time to drop with no temps/inspires. Luckily you don't have to completely defeat him, and he doesn't seem to ever use Unstoppable thank god.
Captain Holtz was a little more annoying with all the debuffs, but luckily takes the full energy damage I was dishing out with much resistance. -
Hope it turns out to be good.
-
I find WP to be the best bet against Rularuu.
-
Set the time, and I'll show up with BrandX, DB/WP/Body Scrapper.
-
Quote:I just ran a 7 Scrapper/1 Brute (they didnt have a 50 Scrapper, and is a friend of mine, so I couldn't say no) STF, no temp powers used...less than 10 deaths, completion time 1:40.I was actually talking about this with some Scrappers. I'm down for an All Scrapper Apex & Tin Mage TF.
In fact, I'll go start an appropriate thread like I was going to do a few days ago.
I'd be up for going after Apex and Tin Mage with nothing but Scrappers as long as it's on Virtue
All melee is fun!
-
No opinion on it either way, but the thought occurs to me...
What makes you think Ledger wouldn't have wanted that footage shown in the new Batman movie?
I hear a lot of "Stepping on his grave" when everything in the past makes me think "He would of wanted it" -
Quote:Oh well, if it's really that bad on Justice (truthfully I don't know) switch seversIt's not don't want to but can't. Brings up the whole consolidate the servers discussion again.

I ran a LGTF, STF, and a Kahn TF started late in the evening.
Kahn TF was the last, and it was started at about 2:30 AM MST (4:30 EST/1:30 AM PST), and I saw quite a few other TFs being formed at those times...this was on Virtue. -
Quote:I haven't seen that happen yet.I have to agree with at least this part, since so far from what I have seen the most shards go to the person on the team who is doing the LEAST.
One person - and a person doing almost nothing, to boot - should NOT get the lion's share of shards on any given TF. Sorry, that's how I see it.
One player collecting all the loot on a team is the furthest thing from "random" in my book.
Sometimes I find I get massive amounts of Shards compared to others, and other times, I get like 1.
And I tend to just go in and attack everything (bright side to i19, is that people tend to kill all a little more than they used to).
Though, I don't know if it's just me or not, when I haven't gotten a lot of shards compared to everyone else on the team, I tend to get a purple recipe (or equivalent) that I can sell. -
Quote:Hmmm...I'm pretty bad at playing any of my alts once they hit level 50 as it is. My namesake has even been made over more than a few times. It's just the beginning, the tip, but I am excited by it.
Will anybody play their alts anymore? Or will you be bogged down in getting your alts to level 50 and be torn about which one to give time to?
I am constantly intrigued by the 9 other "slots" that remain to be unlocked and the potential they hold. I am curious if we will ever actually reach that point - that level - that we "play" ourselves in the first mission of Mender Ramiel's Arc. Is that the potential that all 10 slots will bring? Will I be making Ghost Widow eat floor as she cons yellow to me?
I am excited by what this system has to offer, and I imagine it is going to be a good, long while before all 10 slots are available, still, it's the journey, not the destination.
I'm actually loving i19 so far because I havent really wanted to play any alts outside my main (which is back to my original namesake).
Didn't even rush the Incarnate story arc, set it up for AVs, and made my way through it solo, as the story arc screams SOLO to me, even if the one mission suggests bringing a team.
So that takes a bit of time, so I wasn't off to the TFs as fast as others who went -1/1 EBs, but I loved it all the more for it
Then ran a 7 Scrapper 1 Brute STF last night, to get 7 of them the incarnate component, and me the Hami-O I wasn't looking for!
Loving it. i19 has made people want to do the TFs I love to do
Shweeeeeeeee!
-
Quote:Then don't!it's the "occasionally acquired" that sux, so far they have been rarer than purple recipes. I really don't want to farm or grind for what are key components of the game for 50s.
This just seems like the devs trying to push people into TFs because they weren't being played as much as they wanted. (maybe becuase it's so hard to get a team together !!)
Yes. It will take longer to get that uncommon boost. But you'll still get it! Everything so far that a team player can get, a solo player can get.
What's so hard to understand, that teaming will get you rewards faster?
Teaming gets people XP faster too, but you never heard people complain, "Unfair that teams get faster XP gain than me soloing".
Don't want to team, want to solo? Then solo. You will get the reward. It will take longer, but so what, soloing got you to 50 slower...no difference now with incaranate abilities. -

As an added not to this previously posted build, if you're willing to go with less ACC and DMG on Lotus Drops, you can remove the Nucleolus Enhancement from it, and move the slot to Health, to add in the Panacea Unique for added End Recovery. -
Did a quick revision on the build I posted earlier...now it gets 40.8% Ranged Defense, without losing any of the other defenses...

Well, it seems most teams are trying to do level 50 content, that would be the only reason I don't see you getting a team, and even then, I've seen posting for low level heroes, looking for members in broadcast (they can't all be you, can they? :O )
-
Quote:You could always just ignore the glowI did not mean that MA/ was "Lol" just that it was viewed as such when I last played it, it is nice to know it got buffed though!
Reason I'm not considering Kinetic is because I'm trying to make a natural character and glowing hands/feet dont fit that too well though i may change my view on it depending. Thanks =)
In PvE, /SR will have a glow about it anyways.
Also, in PvP you won't really want to rely on Ninja Run, and would like want to pick up SJ and SS.
This isn't to say take KM over MA, just saying
-
Hmmm...I may have calculated the DPS with Tactics turned on, on the build I posted.
-
Using the new mids, so I don't know if it will load up into the i18 version...
With Conserve Power in play, I think this has enough ENDREC without the Cardial Boost, as long as you turn off CoF and Death Shroud.
DA - GC - GD - GC - SD - GC
(Time of Chain: 7.92)
(DMG of Chain: 1676.72)
(DPS of Chain: 211.70)
(END Cost of Chain: 23.891)
(EPS of Chain: 3.02)
If all the math was right (and it doesn't include the -Resist Proc in GC, or the BU Proc in Tactics)
4.81 EPS (Chain + Toggles [except CoF and DS]) while you're only gaining 4.06 EPS
Sadly, it doesn't make the 45% Ranged Defense.

Quote:It's classic Superman theme. I really hope they don't lose that.the bright side, even if the movie sucks on toast, the soundtrack will be awesome. though i wonder if they'll incorporate John Williams' theme into the movie at some point or just scrap it.
It's like Bond's theme. You just don't have a Bond movie without it. -
Quote:You know, that's one of the reasons I even bothered to attempt it with AVs set and solo.Unfortunately you're illustrating one of the clear divides between the casual player and the more serious one.
You (and some others) seem to expect that this game should be like a *hobby*, which is generally a "serious amateur" version of a profession. They usually require substantial skill development, a learning curve, hardware investment, dedication of substantial blocks of time, and so on. Examples such as "woodworking" and "golf" that have been used recently would be applicable here.
Many other people expect that this game should be *entertainment*, which while it is usually fed by professions, is rarely a profession itself. While they frequently have some sort of price (up-front, continuing, or both), one doesn't usually need a whole lot of dedication or advanced skills to enjoy it; and in the rare cases where skill is helpful it's usually immediately visible up front and doesn't increase significantly or surprisingly across the experience. Related examples might be "reading a (comic) book", "watching a movie", "playing (superhero) make-believe with friends", "family boardgame night", and so on.
Personally, I'm somewhat on the fence here; while I'm certainly capable of treating a game as a hobby with a lot more attention to detail (partly because I can sometimes read forums and wikis on my lunch break, but not actually play), there are a fair number of times when I get home from a long day of unpaid overtime at work juggling system configuration files and spreadsheets the last thing I want to do is spend my extremely limited personal decompression time worrying about build details, advanced tactics, team composition, or whatever. I want to get together with some friends and have fun pretending to be superheroes together, in a rich world with an evolving storyline. Unfortunately, the *story* of I19 is heavily gated... there are no open-world invasions that scale using GM code so everyone can do their part as they are able, the "Alpha Strike" is two difficult TFs with a prerequisite arc containing multiple EBs and also requiring either multiple other TFs or a bunch of high-level farming.
In actuality, after having to go to a fair amount of effort during the beta to solo the arc on various characters, the folks I usually play with have decided it's way easier to just hit the arc with a half-dozen characters and keep moving. But that's not a practical option for everyone, or even a possible option for some.
Personally, I was expecting that the "solo only mission" code introduced in GR's Praetorian alignment choice missions was the preliminary for what would be required for one's beginning to the Incarnate path. The fact that teaming is not only allowed but suggested (and balanced for) seems off.
I was hoping that we'd get something that was actually tailored to the character; it's traditional in myth and fiction that the path to ascension is a very personal thing closely associated with one's central focus. There's at least one other MMORPG that has an epic, solo-only battle for what used to be the final barrier between you and max level, which has class-specific goal options; some can heal their way to victory, some steal, some just focusing on beating up a tough foe. While the current arc is a lot better than the "run a hard TF and pick the option added to the reward menu" plan from earlier, it falls far short of either its potential or expectations.
Felt more like a Comic Book Super Hero VS Their Greatest Challenge yet!
Of course, I have no doubt some of my characters won't beable to put it off to that degree, and will need to put it off to EBs, but I don't see any of my characters being unable to solo it (could just be my combos...I don't for instance have FF/AR Defender) at EB levels. -
I thought it felt different than before.
Before it was one of the tips I enjoyed doing.
While it's not one of the ones I will drop when I get it, it felt slower. :/ -
Quote:Hmmm...Spiritual is increasing my Health and Regen (underslotted Health and Fast Healing, with ED capped+ already in RTTC and HPT before the boost).Ok I will attempt this for you. Got to use that Math Degree I paid so much for.
If you currently have 15.5% Defense to FCEN and 59% enhancement in it already that gives you around 24.65% Defense to FCEN.
Now WITH the Nerve Radial Boost. (Which is what I assume you want to slot)
If you are at 59% enhancement AFTER ED, then you definitely over 60% Pre-ED. 13.3% of the 20% Radial enhancement is under ED, which means you only get 15% of that, for a total of about 2% enhancement. (Still not defense). Then other 6.7% is post-ED. That is 8.7% Extra enhancement for a total of 59+8.7= 67.7%
67.7% enhancement of 15.5% is 26%
So it looks like About 1.35% increase to defense. Course that is just THAT power any other defense powers will be increased, and not counting the Accuracy bonueses.
Someone can check me to make sure I did that right. Hope it helps.
While my defense powers are at 59% on their own (HS, Manueavers, Weave) I do have two defense powers that arent (Hover and CJ), while none of my attacks are ED capped on ACC (59.62% - 62.19% ACC slotting...not counting set bonuses)...
I'll have to try Nerve out, see how it fairs for me
Thanks for the info

Quote:If you have a defense power slotted to 59% already...I kinda wish Nerve was something other than accuracy. I mean, after 1-2 SOs in your attacks, you don't need any more accuracy. Especially people who take focused accuracy or have set bonuses with accuracy. You don't need more accuracy, yet the devs decided to give us more accuracy.
Wish it was something like defense buffs. But then again that's probably just because I'm a SR scrapper and would like to see a 33% defense buff boost <3
Let's say Heightened Senses, for 15.5% Defense to F/C/E/N, and add in the boosts 20% Defense with 1/3 not being effected by ED, how much defense would you have after the fact?
Of course, I can just make it and look, but was curious if anyone knew now.
If it raises Defenses by 2%, I might find it worth it.
