The past versions of the V Belt!
There were two other versions of it before (at least as I recall). The original, then a thicker one (which I loved, and I believe it was made thicker at the time for clipping issues), and then the one we have now.
Syndicate design for pants on females! I want it back for my character! Please! -

I'm not saying it can't be suckie to run into such situations, but it takes away any threat.
Look at it from a different perspective.
My character enters the mission, could take the aggro and the ambush that's waiting as soon as my character zones.
My character just got a free pass on easy no worry attacking! -
With any new Purple sets, could make them have a 6th bonus that makes people think "Hmmm" a bit more, than those who think, "Oh I have to have all 6 purples slotted to be uber cool"
Like 5% Resist All -
Quote:Well if that's the case, I really wish they'd also throw the "no globals" names into the batch. As best I remember they only ran it for toons under 6. So if that was a 30, or a 50, the script will never unlock it. And the reason they used 6 is cos the first time they ran it for under 30 and the bulk freed up were under 6.
-
I once thought that, but when I found a few names just a month ago without a global handle, I just don't think that's the case. :/

Quote:Not at all. None of the things that are obtained in the PvP zones are needed or required for PvE.PvP zones are not for PvP. They're for people picking on people they know they can't lose to. Random Controller passing through to get a temp is the perfect target. As much they mouth about PvPing, you could literally drop level 1 immobile players with no powers in the zone and they would happily run over and assassin strike them.
I like going on my Widow and placating Stalkers when I'm getting nukes.
What were we talking about? Oh, I agree that the PvP zone stuff should be separate from actual PvP. There are accolades and temp powers that require you to go to PvP zones. It's an archaic, hamfisted tool to try and get people interested in PvP that doesn't work.
Now I'm not saying it doesn't suck to have to go into a PvP zone to get an accolade or cool badge, but none of those are required for PvE.
As for the constant ganking, one might want to remind the ganker, that for the kill to mean anything, they need to wait 5 minutes first.
Best bet, go back to the zone later and hope for a better time. -

Yes! Yes it is!
When I have all I need to run my gapless ST attack chain that I'm happy with, and haven't killed my defenses, then it's enough! -
Why would not using Hasten be like fighting with one arm behind your back? o.O
I don't have Hasten on my scrapper, and with it, it doesn't change anything for me at all. -
Okay, why do these new Purple IOs you suggest have WAY WAY more bonuses than the current purple sets?
And debt protection? Really? You're level 50. Debt becomes meaningless. Why would you put Debt Protection on a set you can't slot untill you're level 50?
And the chance for +Resistance, I'd slot that on my WP into Health's basic slot. -
Quote:Hmmm...does the Spiritual get you perma on Hasten? How does the RCH help your chain without Hasten?Oh I know, I was stating it was still gapless because of the hit Smite took on Recharge.
I really wanted to get the Recharge as saturated as possible for Siphon Life so it could take advantage of the 30% ED ignored Recharge in the Very Rare Spiritual boost. That way when RNG isn't being nice to me or when I'm being hit by stuff that I have little (or no resistance to) I could just spam Smite > Siphon Life until I got back up in HP. -
Quote:With Hasten up (which only has an 11 second downtime), you already had the gapless chain. So, what exactly is the improvement, as looking at it, I would think you took a hit to damage with no benefit.Dang, I found yet another way to improve the build. Hahah.

I switched out the first five slots of Smite and Siphon Life between each other, took out the Proc from Hecatomb and used the Damage/Recharge from the set instead. Brings up Siphon Life almost 1 second faster with no Hasten and a half second faster with. Smite takes a hit to Recharge, but the attack chain of MG > SM > SL > SM gapless is still possible when Hasten is up.
Yes, yes, and hell yes!

Quote:If my account went inactive for 2 years, I'd be perfectly fine with losing the names I've gotten ahold of.Whether it is harder or not is irrelevant to me.
I've long had the opinion that character names on long inactive accounts should become open for the taking. I've come to think 2 years is more than fair.
As to the regular discussions about the ability to name (or not name) your character...
It comes down to happenstance and personal tastes.
Were the names you wanted taken and/or did you find ones you're happy with?
That's it.
My ability to find names that I've been completely happy with is not something I care to wave around as some skill.
I have better skills to wave around.
Like my ability to acquire a terrible sore throat yesterday...
And I even reuse some of the names. Joybuzzer, level 50 Elec/Elec Brute, moved the brute to another server and reused the name. -
When people say this, I have to wonder, what do you constitute a good name?
Obviously the OP and others like the OP are looking for more superhero sounding names, and not "Miko Inuyasha" or "Naught Bird" or other such "let's use non english names"
To the OP, my suggest, keep an eye out. Check often for the name you want. Possibly even /friend the name you want that's taken see if they ever get on. -
Well, i fail to see how this is a genre myself. I thought the genre was Superheroes.
That said, you could always not mention it in the bio (personally I never understood why someone would, it just doesn't seem relavent to the characters back story...or at least I've never seen a bio yet that made me see it as being relavent) and send a tell to anyone who does try to get into that point of RP with a OOC tell to give them warning. -
The only thing I've seen done, is I've been on teams who took down the pylons first, then the mitos, then hami.
I've also been on teams where mitos where taken down, then the pylons, then hami.
I always wondered if it really mattered, or if it was just added objectives. -
Quote:With their wallets.Lastly I don't think they had any business making a film about this series entire it was actually done. That just seems like a terrible idea. Imagine if someone had made a watchmen movie with the book only half way done. They're going deviate a bit no matter what, but that gives literally no window to stay true to the original story or add lines or references from it. What were they thinking?
-
Quote:Well really, that's just a matter of opinion.why, so everyone can look stupid swinging from....what, the skybox?
naw.
One can easily say many of the powers in game look stupid, and yet still use them.
Merc repelling down a cord from nowhere doesn't look stupid to you? -
Well, I attempted it tonight.
Mission 1 - easy enough (didn't clear, just went for the rescues)
Mission 2 - easy enough (didn't clear, just went for the cysts)
Mission 3 - Started with computer, took out robots as they activated, took out Romulus, took out Requiem, then finished with the Generals and traitors.
Mission 4 - Cleared the whole left path, most of the right path, one tower, and everything around the platform. Got Romi alone with the Nictus that spawns minions, got him to half health before dying.
This was all without inspirations (on the AVs, on the normal minions I used inspirations for time purposes), and the only temp powers I was using was Call of Justice (it works on Master runs) and Ninja Run.
I was sure I could solo it and was willing to die multiple times till I did, when my friend quit the TF instead of logging off, to head to bed, and thusly it kicked me from the TF
Sooo...I will try again tomorrow.

Quote:Well of course.I... would use it on multiple targets. You could use it on a single target, I guess, but that seems rather a waste for such a great PBAOE power. It's not like Burn in that regard.
But I was thinking along the lines of the team (or self) being up against a lone EB, AV, GM. Do I use HoB when it's up or do I continue to use the single target attacks?

Quote:Well, the only way the Defense Debuff Enzymes Hami-O's enhance Defense powers, is because of the End Reduction Component of said Hami-O.Moreover, they are supposed to be specifically engineered to not buff things that current enhancers may buff by accident, such as how defense debuff enhancers will buff defense buffs. I'm not clear on the implications for powers that currently allow this, like SR's passives. As BA, said, even if it would work on SR's passives, it won't work on things that don't actually explicitly allow defense slotting.
Any other Defense Debuff enhancement is limited to being put in actual Defense Debuff powers. Like the Defense Debuff IO sets. -
Quote:Two if they're grinding. Please for the love of all things reasonable: The physics involved to let a man-sized human to do what you're suggesting would probably require "web parachutes" to be like 100s of square meters wide, which would make -them- weigh even more. This doesn't even mention the gusts of wind involved for the masses we're talk about.

Just because you can cite a fringe real world example doesn't mean it has any relevance here. I'm beginning to wonder when this thread is going to start debating how many angels can dance on the head of a pin...
