Quote:You! I remember you and the shenanigans you got up to!...and I thought I'd buy Going Rogue and reactivate my account. Turns out that playing DCUO for a few weeks really makes you miss all the things about CoX that you used to enjoy.
I've seen a few familiar faces about, but 2.5 years away means I've missed an awful lot so, other than the Incarnate "intro" arc for the Lv50s and - obviously - Praetoria, what are the things new that I need see/do, the old things that have gone and the other things I've forgotten?
If anyone wants me I'll be respeccing every toon I have and trying to use up to 100+ free costume changes they've accumulated... -
Suppose it is interesting if you like this sort of thing. Well done to the art department for pulling it off.
Like others have said though, where is the much asked Space Station, Moon zone, Undewater zone and my personal favourite, Jungle zone? Unless this isn't a whole new zone, but rather an instance for some new trial? The "exterior environment art for a feature" bit leads me to believe it is the latter. -

It's a vet thing... after running the same TF more then 100 times it gets old. Since you need the rewards the TF provides if you want to further develop your toons it is an appropriate way, in my opinion, of doing it and fun in its own way. I understand it's not everyone's cup of tea but thank carrots it is a possibility.
If you are a new player, by all means take your time and do it slowly, learn the ropes and bask in the lore. In fact I encourage it. But trust me, after a time you too will feel the need to bypass certain sections/missions/whatever as fast as possible.
YMMV. -
They are either time dependent (and go poof after being used for a while) or charge dependent (and go poof after charges have been used). You need to keep recharging them by logging out at the appropriate locations if you want to keep using them.

Quote:O hai! With all the focus in recent issues on Praetoria and the Incarnate content, I feel like there is a lot of story already existing in the City of Heroes world that still has yet to be told. Open threads that have yet to be resolved. What are some of the storylines that you'd like to see resolved in future issues?
My number one answer would be the Shadow Shard. You've got four huge, BEAUTIFUL zones with bizarre creatures and a fascinating, but miniscule storyline that just hints at what's to come. But then that's it. We learn very little about the whole place, and I think that's a shame.
I'd also like to see them do more with "The Coming Storm". What is it? WHEN is it? Is it related to the Shadow Shard or the Incarnates? Have we already avoided it?
In the past, these things were swept under the rug with the explanation that "we want all players to experience all dev generated content" and that's why nothing ever moved forward story-wise. But now, with Ouroboros, I don't see that as a valid reason. Let's go back to those old neglected storylines and pick them up.
I for one know that it would re-invigorate my interest in the game if they were... if the 6 years that I had put into the game started to pay off by allowing me to continue to work on the cases that I started to work on when I first became a superhero.
So, what stories did you never see completed that you would like to?
Iz u back? -
OMG! I remember you! I liked you back then and I think I still like you now! ^_^
Welcome back Pyra! -
Well, pretty soon he'll be Operating an empty channel. And possibly find himself teamless for the foreseable future.
You reap what you sow. -
No Claws, Help is for help. Not for announcing in game events, forming teams, task/strike forces, general banter and so on. And help is server specific, not server wide.
To the OP, there are already some server specific channels that were set by the Devs long long ago and I'm almost certain(?) those cannot be taken over by anyone or closed for that matter. Thing is, I don't think anyone has ever used them.
What is happening with Defiant Events is a wrongful appropriation by a player and I for one am hoping it can be resolved with the usage of petitions and communication with the community representatives, like Avatea. I urge you and your friends to petition the player in question like others have already done. -
If ever I teamed with you I would insist on witty banter for the duration of said teaming. In fact, your survival would be preponderent on that.
-
No shards, no purple drops, plenty of Freaks though.
-
What you did was not only underhanded, but malicious and insidious. It bordered on harrassment and griefing and I hope all the petitions people have sent against you garner you a ban from the game.
You've shown yourself to be not only petty but power hungry and have no business being Operator in a channel from where you got demoted by the majority of Operators. To then trick them into inviting someone as a new Op into their fold and then have that person reinstate you as an Op with the express purpose of taking over the channel and kicking every other Op out without so much as an explanation (which you still refuse to give) was malicious and aggravated by the fact that you now refuse to reinstate Ops that the majority of the players who use the channel are asking to be made Op again. If, as you say, the community chose you to be Op 2 years ago you should allow these same Ops back on as the community is choosing them now.
Furthermore, this isn't your channel and never was. Demoting the owner and founder is not only shameful as it is, at the very least, unethical. But like I said, I hope you get banned for this. -

Cyborg Pack:
Travel Power Addition - Rocket Dash.
Operating in the same line as Ninja Run and Beast Run, Rocket Dash is an ability available from level 4, and its Run and Jump Boost Values scale in level, from 4 to 50. The jist of the power is a tilted forward 'glide' type motion, as demonstrated here in tiny-o-vision by our old 2D friend, Mister Sonic of Hedgehog:

Annoying as it may be, I think the lesson here is, don't stockpile: use as you get them.
And thanks for the heads up. I didn't know spending them was also time gated, which IMO is ill thought out, but I can see not wanting the market to be suddenly flooded with purples or PvP recipes. -
Thanks a lot although I'm not sure what we're supposed to do with it as we're once again bared from the server. Is this like a "give with one, take with another" situation? Or are we supposed to test this after it's on sale.
If it is for the closed Beta, shouldn't it be in the appropriate forum section rather then here?
Am I missing some kind of thread where there is a schedule or something saying when we're supposed to be able to access the server? -
These days it only opens up when the general populace is asked to test something specific AND if you're lucky to have the copy tool OR the authenticator working Techie.
Still, I suppose it must mean that there are some EU players currently involved in the I20 Closed Beta testing. Which can be good news. Or not. -
Quote:Knowing those kind of restraints, and that we're working with a 8-9 hour difference, what kind of things do you, as players, feel are reasonable expectations from the developers?Quote:If you set up a US Event, set up a corresponding EU event. If the US event contains devs, make sure at a minimum that the EU Event has Community Coordinators who will feed back to the devs (if not the devs themselves).
Oh, and merge the server lists.
Quote:The EU Events normally have a CC involved. Its normally Avatea and theOcho, though theOcho has now left(He's gonna be missed) So no idea who is gonna fill his shoes in as they are so big
They have big socks. -
