Heh, I still do spend many a weekend listening to GK. And getting slightly homesick for the midwest. Until I remember that they're getting wicked snow storms this time of year and the closest I get to a blizzard is when I drive past Dairy Queen.

I can safely say that there is nothing I miss from Indiana except for family, good friends and Pork Tenderloins.

Unfortunately, I seem to have brought the snow to the Bay Area with me 0_o

So, Zwill, were you hired to be a kinder, friendlier CM? You seem to be personally taking on the task of "keeping in touch with players."
Also, does this mean some of the sillier rules (like "no talking about other games ever") aren't going to be enforced as much?
wait, you dont have pork tenderloins there?

We will continue the enforcement of the rules when it comes to talking about other games, unless specifically requested for feedback purposes. There are many reasons we enforce this policy, not the least of which is to maintain the focus of this Community to be squarely upon CoX and everything related to it (including the Comic Book/Super Hero culture).
If you do have concerns regarding any of the rules here on the forums, I welcome you to send me a PM regarding it.

What if we organized a day of rage instead? Would that be more effective?

And we love to talk about some other video games - so give us what we need

My family has roots in Huntington. I used to go up and visit and really miss Pork Tenderloins. We had a place here in Florida that specialized in them. The owners, we found out, were from Huntington. The shop closed a few years ago when the economy tanked and I feel your pain Zwill.

Does that include Yahtzee? 'Cause I had a game-of-a-lifetime the other day. Over 500 points. I was on fire! I think it's the first time I've scored three Yahtzees in one game.

Oh, here we go, how it relates to City of Heroes. It kind of reminds me of some of the Taxibot events in the old days!
We've been saving Paragon City for eight and a half years. It's time to do it one more time.
(If you love this game as much as I do, please read that post.)

perhaps we could specify between single player console games and other mmos. I understand the need to keep from comparisons being made with existing competitors, particularly by players disgruntled with some decisions running down their subscriptions by being as disruptive as possible advertising the competition. but i liked being able to reminisce about classic snes games with other long-time gamers and , as my sig implies, there is a current upcoming single player rpg i'd quite like to discuss. I dont see those as directly competing with coh, and instead reinforce community and build social bonds between gamers who might then be less likely to leave for fear of losing their social circle(sounds nuts, but several have mentioned staying subbed just for the forums) so that rule i feel is a bit overreaching.
It's been a quiet week here in Lake Woebe...
Oh wait.
Hope everyone had a great week! It's been a busy one here at Paragon Studios, our secret lair located miles below the surface of the earth. Here's a quick run down of what we've been doing and what we're working on...
Next week promises to be just as busy and hectic around the office, with GDC right in our back yard!
We've also got some great new information about Issue 20 coming your way early next week...whatever could it be? Stay tuned for the Intrepid Informer to find out!
I hope everyone has an amazing weekend both in game and out! I'll be unpacking and moving things into the new house, so my checkins will be sporadic, but I'll be stopping by!
