"basic" channels

first of all, excuse for my poor english, will try to explain myselft good as i can.

Last few days, we had a bit of drama at Defiant (EU) about a channel we used to find grupo for diferents things (Defiant Events its call).

As the channels have "owners", if that owner decide to close, or block the channel, the whole server find without that metod that we used for years.

Will be amazing, if will be some kind of unownered channel, like the broadcast one, but for whole server/all eu servers/all usa servers/etc.

I know the idea have some flaws, but with a bit of efforts could be sorted (an autoban for spam in x seconds a msg for exemple).

well, will like to know what others think about.

Isn't that what the Help channel is? Or is that server specific.

I dunno how necessary it is, I've never been involved in a channel where the OP decides to just completely shut it down one day.

No Claws, Help is for help. Not for announcing in game events, forming teams, task/strike forces, general banter and so on. And help is server specific, not server wide.

To the OP, there are already some server specific channels that were set by the Devs long long ago and I'm almost certain(?) those cannot be taken over by anyone or closed for that matter. Thing is, I don't think anyone has ever used them.

What is happening with Defiant Events is a wrongful appropriation by a player and I for one am hoping it can be resolved with the usage of petitions and communication with the community representatives, like Avatea. I urge you and your friends to petition the player in question like others have already done.
