Infected have spawned in both Atlas Park and Galaxy City since at least August, 2007, when I first started looking at updating VidiotMaps. They're only in a couple neighborhoods, and probably only spawn at night, which is why they're not noticed much.

Quote:It shows as "Spy Hunt" on this page, but the arc is "After the Wall Fell" if you do it normally. Not too much into farming/repeatedly running the same arc over and over, but what's the "Spy Hunt" flashback? It doesn't seem to match up to anything in the Wiki description.

Back in my day sonny we didn't HAVE patrol experience! Debt happened at level 1 and we liked it! We were real men, dealing with having more than twice the debt you younguns have now per death. And we walked 10 miles up hill both ways from the hospital too.
Kids these days with your reverse side kicking, respecs and your capes...bah. -
If that doesn't work (because sometimes the "Clear Badge Title" button is disabled) just use the plain /settitle command.

Quote:Actually, the Paragon City map has been updated in the latest VidiotMaps map pack. I got feeling the exact same way you did, and decided to do something about it. It's not displayed on the Web site, but it is visible in-game.This CAN BE very useful info for someone who is aware of the limitations.
to repeat: The map has NOT been updated to reflect new stops in FF and Skyway (much to my personal annoyance).
This goes for the large wall-maps at the entrance to the Train stations, as well.
Seems like a relatively minor fix to update the art on the map - and a relatively major pain-in-the-butt to have an inaccurate in-game map!
Hmm, I just noticed that it still shows a link between Crey's Folly and the RWZ. Guess I'll have to fix that in the next update. -
-
For some reason, I've got it stuck in my head that the Paragon server was used for the short-lived Korean version of CoH.

Fakes can also be found in the spawns on the beaches around Grandville, but those are pretty sparse and not very good for getting the badge quickly.

I realize the stalker boards are a bit more quiet than the other ATs, but does anyone have any thoughts about this build? Here's the data chunk if you can't get the direct link to work in the original post.

Quote:Unless you added the command to your startup option list, it should reset each time you run the game client. If it is added to your desktop shortcut, just remove it and you should be fine.I did that when running two accounts on my PC to get Empath on my villain badger. He now has it.
However, every time I alt-tab out of the game, and return, the game screen freezes, and I have to alt-tab a second game to get the game moving again. I suspect it's because of the command above. Is there any way to remove that command so that my game will function like it did before? I tried /maxinactivefps 0 but that didn't seem to work.
If you don't have that command added to your startup shortcut and you're still getting the screen freezes, I don't know what would be causing it. Or maybe try /maxinactivefps 60, assuming that you have a typical LCD monitor. -
I've currently played this character to level 31, but I decided to set a roadmap for the rest of the build for PvE use. I've specifically not used Tough/Weave so I can get more useful powers out of the Patron pools, but I do still count on Divine Avalanche for melee defense. I've not done any cost checking to see how outrageously priced this might be, but I've not used anything obvious like purple or PvP sets.
The only thing that sticks out at me about the build is only having one regular attack (besides AS) until level 13 when exemped. I can use my origin and vet powers until then, but it seems like it might be a bit gimped in that regard. I'm open to suggestions, though, if I might have missed something.

Quote:Check out the other thread just below this one for more details. All of the suggestions were good (although I'm kinda biased, as I was thinking of Mothership raids myself, from experience) but, can someone explain the the 400+ Rep method. I didn't follow that at all, but I'm not all that arena savvy.

Quote:I think what he was talking about is the accelerated day/night cycle that's present in-game. If you extrapolate the 21 days of real time that's required to earn a day job, you would have spent 1,008 in-game days at that job, or most of three years learning a skill. That would make it a bit more believable thematically. Not really. Time as far as in-game references to events moves analogously to real time. They make distinctions for temp powers of "in game time" vs "real time" to denote how long a power lasts, but that doesn't infer that one moves faster or slower than the other.

You can also visit the Wiki pages for each zone in the game and check out the music links in the neighborhood section. There will be lots of music there that's not in the dedicated music article.

Badge text typos have also been fixed and some have been completely rewritten. Thanks.

Minor necropost here. I was in my local Walmart store today, and I noticed that CO is now down to $39.96 and has a bonus 60 days of free time. I'm not sure if that means there's a total of 90 days including the original free month, but regardless it seems that sales might not be meeting expected goals. One of the associates checked it and they'd not sold a single copy of the game there. For those of you who'd been trying it out, what is your feedback on how CO's been going?
-
Yeah, this was included with the Issue 15 update, so yours is most likely the previous version. I agree that it won't help most of the new players and that the art department should fix it, but they've probably not regarded it as a major enough issue needing fixing. It took them about seven months to add the missing islands on the Storm Palace map after I mentioned it, so it's just a matter of getting it in the queue and waiting for them to get to it.
-
Well, the latest VidiotMaps In-Game Map Overlay does have the Green Line fixed on the city map. Just download it and never be annoyed by it again.

There's a hidden badge on the Badge-Hunter Supergroup badge listing for the Improved Energy Turret that seems to match the description for this. No idea what the base item would have done, though.
-
Found some typos in the text for the new badges:
Dark Fiend - "Mystic Banners" should be singular since you only have to defeat it once.
Hell Hath No Fury - "Mystic Banners" should be singular since you only have to defeat it once.
Monstrous - The badge mentions defeating the "Aspect of the Mystic Banner" but the GM is actually titled "Greater Mystic Aspect." It probably ought to be changed to avoid any unnecessary confusion.
Hell and Back - "mishapen" should be spelled "misshapen" and there should be a comma between "friends earning".
