Obliteration in blazing aura is going to really hurt your end.
I have a ton of infamy redside that I've been waiting to place in a farm/PL toon redside, so when I made the original build I wasn't thinking much about cost. I took your advice and went with Titanium Coating for my shields instead of Gladiator's Armor. I loved the built in kb protection and 2.25 +hp, but I agree now in relooking at the build it would be better to just get the TC. I slotted three kb protection IOs so I won't get bounced around by the Fakes to make up for the loss of the set bonus from GA. I also slotted two sets of Eradication to give me back the 2.25 +HP and even get 2.6 +end to my end bar. Put an End. IO in Blazing Aura to help with the my end. use.

The pvp sets are definitely not need if you are just going to use him for a lib farmer, not to meantion those IOs are so ridiculously priced you'd have to farm for.....well, a damn long time to get the investment back.

The slotting you really should be considering is +HP, +End, +recovery, and recharge.

You'll be able to easily survive the typed damage from the Nemesis due to the fact that your resists will be structured most effectively against their damage types. With the back up from probably the most powerful self heal in the game you shouldn't have problems.

Defense is going to be rather pointless for the purpose of farming. It may aid you in the alphas, but you will easily survive them on resists and healing alone. After the first Colonel goes down you'll find vengeance easily closes the gap that the defense was providing. When it becomes stack defense is pretty pointless.

I'd recommend taking another look at your build in general and reconsider the set bonuses you're going for, because other than the pvp bonuses you're really gaining nothing significant that'll aid you in farm that you couldn't get from immensely cheaper sets.
Thanks for giving me some advice on how building for +def would work. I have read where people have built their SS/Fire Brutes for 30% S/L +def, but I didn't think they would have done that for this map. I have previously farmed this map on a Fire/Fire Brute and an Elec/Elec Brute, but those builds didn't seem as effecient for this map as I think a SS/Fire Brute could be.

I would try to fit Ball Lightning into your build, a second AoE is very handy, especially with the KD proc from Ragnaroks. Putting Ragnaroks in an AoE immobilise is a total waste. I did take the AoE Immob and I did put purples in it for the set bonuses, but I used the immobilise set.

I would move the Numi +/+ to Health instead of Healing Flames. While it is true that you'll almost always be using HF at least once every 120 seconds, this will not always be the case and you want to max out the heal/end/rech on HF.

Tonality is right, Oblits in Blazing Aura is going to be hell on your end bar. Especially since you've also got them in Consume. Not a problem if you only use Consume on full spawns, but if you're using it on 1 or 2 targets it's not going to help much.

In terms of personal preference, I'd move the Hecatombs to Haymaker. It recharges faster so I find I get more use out of the proc there.

I would also suggest you consider changing PPPs to Soul Mastery. While Soul Tents sucks for leveraging Burn, if you've got decent recharge and a PPP ranged AoE (like Ball Lightning or Dark Obliteration) you shouldn't really need it. I found Soul Mastery much better for my brute for farming for 2 reasons. Firstly, the DoT nature of Gloom means its incredibly end-efficient and helps to ensure Fakes don't bubble. Secondly, while Ball Lightning being DoT means its also technically end-efficient, Footstomp does so much damage that a lot of the time its wasted. Even if it does less damage, the up-front nature of Dark Obliteration means I get much more damage out of it.

Edit: also important to note that Elec Fences has -kb, whereas Soul Tents does not. So you can hit Soul Tents running into a spawn if you want to use Burn but still get the mitigation (especially to stop Fakes bubbling) from KD/KU.

    Hope that helps
I here you all about the PvP IO sets, but I really like the Panacea +rech and +HP; as well as, the proc effect so it's why I kept it in my revised build. I was looking in Mids. about your advice for moving the Numina's +/+, but if I replaced it with a rech it was only taking like a second off the recharge. I got rid of Haymaker because I wanted to fit in Ball of Lightning and didn't know what else to take out. I figure I'll be okay with single target damage with KO Blow and Mu Lightning especially with Rage and I'll probably have at least 80% Fury.

As for the patron, I thought about what you said about Ghost Widow, but I just didn't want to go with it. My attack plan will be to target the Fakes in a mob and as I jump into the mob I'll throw Ball of Lighting to get some rage up and maybe have some come into melee, then I'll hit Foot Stomp to knock them down, then throw out Electric Fences to immobilize and hit burn. I'd then finish up the stragglers and Fakes with another FS and with KO Blow and Mu Lighting.

Here's my revised build. Would I be okay against the Fakes with just 8 pts. of KB protection?

  2. This is a build I came up with for farming 0/8/Bosses Liberate TV with Nemisis exclusively. Any reason to change anything? I was thinking of a S/L def build, but then I would think the stacked Vengance would negate that.

  3. Black_Mute

    PvP IO for sale

I sooo should have told the GM I had more than one of these in base storage the time my base was deleted...
  4. That MMO sure does have alot of drama...
  5. I'm biased, but I would say MA/ is better because of the stun in Eagles Claw . The stun is great for two scenarios:

    1. You don't even have to slot if for a stun and it lasts long enough to prevent your opponent from fleeing before you can follow up with Crane Kick. Also, giving your team a couple seconds to pile on the damage.

    2. If you are Fire/ and get a toggle debuff placed on you, there's no way for you to knock it off using your primary outside of killing the debuffer or just phasing and fleeing. With Eagles Claw I can just hit the debuffer once and it's detoggled.

I only have experience fighting a Fire/Regen in arena on my Fire/SS/Earth tank, but I was impressed with the damage output he had against me even though my tank had like 61% resist to fire with DR on, but then again I was just standing there.

  6. This is kinda off of the subject and I don't want to derail this thread, but I hope that this will be addressed soon about how influence and infamy will be handled when GR comes out. I think we should be able to change our influence into infamy and vice versa when we changes sides in GR.
  7. OMG I'm an idiot!!!!! WTH was I thinking all this time the rule of five applied to KB protection bonuses...*grumbles off*
  8. Black_Mute

    Justice PvP

Too many fraking people in RV on Freedom for me. I can only imagine what it's like now. I was there for a week about a month ago on my Stalker Rob N. Plunder. So much BS in zone and arena chat.

Also, yes I did say too MANY people. Practically the whole time I was there, 20 villains were camping the hero base. Just not as much fun for me as it has been on Justice personally.
  9. One of my favorite threads back in the day was ongoing war between two PvP VGs Misfit Villains and Corruption about spies and base raids. One thing in particular about it was one of the guys from Misfits came here bragging about how badass he was and knew karate. Those two VGs got so much bad rep. in PvP I don't think anyone liked them. I refused to do base raids with them.
  10. I would imagine like anything in PvP build for +dam, +hp and +rech, get lots of kb protection and hibernate as needed. Also, I think this type of build has lost some flare since you can't knockback /regens, /invuls, etc. when they are held since kb protection doesn't supress anymore.
  11. I was on the side that thought the mission spawn size option for I16 would have dropped the price of purples because so many people would be generating them. I think what others have said is true though that the demand is just so high for them that the prices for purples have actually gone up. Also, to give some perspective that it's no impossible to do, I just finished buying five sets of five Panacea sets blueside (which is more expensive than redside because the demand is higher imo). I bought all of them at current prices. It took me a month or so and I had to strip a couple toons I didn't really play any longer for some IOs to sell, but I was able to do it (no I didn't buy inf for a gold farmer site).

    Panacea pricing

Obviously their enhancement values are low, but some people might want them just to finish out a set for the bonuses.

What do you all think I should list them for?
Those are very scarce atm on the market at any level. I'd price them the same as the 50s are selling for. Someone will buy them to complete a set. Also, this advice is coming from someone who spent the last month trying to complete five sets of these blueside.

P.S. How did you end up with two level 12s of those?!
  13. Those PvP uniques are the best! Gratz!

Also, that hero in Ra's pic in the background had a sale a few months ago that I posted a pic of on my SG's forums. We had a "Money Shot" thread to see who had the biggest sale on the market. I won! =)

Also, why is Lucky getting charged 25 million more in fees?
  14. I'd get rid of grant invisibility and get invisibility. Slot a stealth IO in sprint. Not all people in PvP have +perception. Makes for another way to evade if they don't if needed.
  15. My #1 farmer is my fire/kin/fire when I kill my second account and use his corpse for vengance. Also, another reason for not posting a build might be because you are still building it and don't want to have to compete with someone for the IOs. I know I won't post my PvP build for my scrapper on these forums until I've finished because I think it's that BA!
  16. I wish I knew my work schedule for that day. If I'm off I will defiantly be there.

Not sure why you'd want to skip the damage proc? I'd slot Hecatomb WITH the proc and then add the Unbreakable Constaint proc. So:

    Hecatomb: Damage
    Hecatomb: Damage/Rech
    Hecatomb: Damage/Acc/Rech
    Hecatomb: Acc/Rech
Hecatomb: Chance for Negative Energy Damage
Unbreakabale Constraint: Chance for Smashing Damage
  20. I'm going to brush off the old Spines/SR stalker I haven't played since the I14 elusivity changes because I'm getting tired of soley PvPing on my heroes. How's my ranged attack chain on this build? I took both Phase and Hibernate to take advantage of the bug that lets you use both before the 30 second no phase kicks in. I put the BU proc in tactics so I can wait to attack when it goes off, but I don't think I'd have enough time to hit BU and get my AS off before the BU proc wears off would I?

  21. I wouldn't even go concealment on a /regen scrapper unless I was taking phase shift. You can only use the warburg temp. phase for 30 min and the other one you can only use three times I think before you have to craft a new one. I have to phase all the time in RV to continue to attack stalkers that have phase and I think a temp power would run out too fast.
  22. I'd drop weave for phase shift. Two reasons:

    1. You have no toggle dropping powers.

    2. If you are getting ganked, then it'll give you another tool to use for escape.

If you don't do that, then at least pick up the chance for hold proc for web grenade.

    What a concept.
Honestly though I don't ever see you talk in any of the Justice channels. Are you the one guy left in Justice Hamidon?

I have to admit I like the name Justice for All, but I should have spoken up more when someone suggested to abbreviate the new channel to JFA2010. Just a bad choice imo. Also, wth is up with all the global channel police when someone talks in Justice for All? People just need to chill out with that. If they are doing it on purpose to annoy me that's one thing, but it comes across like it's there offical job or something to tell me not to chat in the channel anymore.
