EK's statement about a novel of a last post made me remember writing this one when I thought I was done for good.
It's time-stamped 11/29/2010. Almost exactly two years before this game is being shut down. Seems more fitting now than ever. -

Ahhh, the DA solo grind. So much fun getting a common, two astrals and 10 threads every night after running an arc three times or three different ones. Oh, wait, that's not been fun at all.
As we get closer to doomsday, I'm finding myself at a complete loss on where I'm going. It appears that the answer is nowhere. No other MMO interests me in the least. I have no expectation that the plan z initiative will get anywhere after reading those forums last night.
In the end, it'll just be the end and I'll play single player games. -

I had to laugh that Street Justice WAS added to the game and you do get to knee 'em in the jimmy regularly.

The connection to the store is buggy. It seems that a log off and closure of the application, then logging back in clears it up for most folks.

I don't think they're in the minority. I actually think alt-centric, "50 is a journey" was a majority perspective from the CoH player community. And I say that as someone just like you - I have played my core characters to death. But while everyone I know has one or a few characters like that, almost all of them were far bigger on alts than I was. Even the power-gamer types.
And Dark Respite? I let my sub drop for vastly more time than I paid in over the last two years, so I'll take some blame and get stoned with you. -
City of Heroes is the only MMO I've enjoyed playing. That's unique.
