Early CoH Comics

Very early on, there was a series of comedic comic strips about life in CoH.

Examples:
1. A group of heroes waits impatiently while their teammate uses hover to reach the rooftip.

2. The heroes rescue a damsel in distress on a roof, she then leaps to the street below unharmed. One exclaims, "Um, why do they need us exactly?"

3. There used to be a bug where civilians walked into a sewer entrance and got into a backflip loop. A hero joins in the fun.

4. A hero grins when his rescuee exclaims "How can I EVER repay you?"

Would be nice to locate and preserve those. Are they still available anywhere?

That sounds like the strips in PvP by Scott Kurtz.

This one did me in....I fell off my chair.....

It was indeed PVPonline. The CoH DVD special edition came with a whole booklet of these.
Here are a couple of the page-sets. I can scan in the rest later if anyone wants.



First day I played this game I remember thinking... wait we take the subway to fight crime???
I then opened the bonus booklets and laughed myself silly... Go Go Justice Mass Transit! Indeed.

That was hilarious. Did they ever have a strip or two about City of Heroes closing, and I don't mean the one about City of Gyros I read that one already.

Oh god! LOL

I've been saying "Go Go Justice Mass Transit!" Whenever I take the train for YEARS now.

Occasionally someone else on the team will catch the reference.

I had to laugh that Street Justice WAS added to the game and you do get to knee 'em in the jimmy regularly.
