I too ran that trial last night and we failed at the Yin stage.. I like it a lot...
The first stage against Malaise is nice. The 'roving pink patches of death' are not as harsh as the Blue Patches in the Ajax TF so they are a lot more managable. Also the GM fights in the middle is a nice change.. I will admit the Jade Spider popping up to help US scared the hell outta me.
The Yin stage didn't seem too hard either. We failed because we didn't have enough taunters/tanks to pull the Voids to Yin.. but when we could we got her down pretty fast. I Think I'm gonna enjoy the Trial! (Course it didn't help that I was doing it on my Human-only PB!)
I'm actually looking forward to the TPN.. sounds like a field day for all my stalkers. -
Yes, Diamagnetic I find helps soo much on all my soft-capped (or close to it) toons. But I am thinking of testing out Spectral on my Inv/SS tank- my theory being if I can spam FS enough I can benefit from the Immob chance. I wonder if the Taunt bug is still active with Interface DoTs? I'll need to see.
I have been trying out Degenerative on Bench but I just don't see enough benefit yet. -
Quote:The reason is it caused HUGE amounts of resource drains on the server as a whole.. in effect it became a server stability issue. So, being unable to use /ah in your base, where you'd be likely to, you know,
have salvage stored, have a crafting table, and maybe have an idea about using
these features to buy recipes, craft them, and sell them on WW/BM from one
simple, sensible and convenient location is intentionally verboten?

PS> I'm fine with that in Missions. But in SG Base? That's just Wrong... -
The only problem I have with the idea is theese are 4 skins for ONE powerset that was already lacking in options- that's why it smacks of a cheap money grab. If this "pack" is more than 80 points (and thats pushing it) when they start charging.. then yes.. I call BS and money grab.

Yeah.. that email to me was along the lines of "THIS IS OMG INSANE WTF????"
My boss was looking at me strange when i was laughing hysterically....

Ok.. I've been wondering this for a while now so I'll just chuck it out there. We all know that the Reactive Interface is the "best" one to get- I mean who doesn't love extra damage? But what about all the other choices? Is there one you tend to gravitate towards above all else? Do some lend themselves thematically to certain sets?
Personally I decided to go Preemptive on my Elec/Elec characters- and love it! The End Drain is fantastic (after they buffed it). I think most can agree that Cognitive and Spectral are kinda meh. But does Cognitive work better with say a Ice Dom and their confuse aura or WoC? Would a Fire Tank or Blaster do better with Spectral using RoF or Burn? I have NEVER seen anyone use Gravitic other than my own Trick Arrow Archery Defender, and i went that route on him just to "complete" the range of Debuffs...
How do you all decide which Interface to go to.. do you look at theme? Or maybe you look at what's missing or what will compliment what your sets have.. or do you just think "must have more orange numbers!!!" and get Reactive? -
I was going to go with Fire or WP.. but I've never run an Ice tank.. hmmmmm
-
You put this a LOT more diplomatically than I would have- suffice to say this decision makes the Packs a possible buy for me, where as before there was NO way in hell I would touch them.

I'm gonna guess Tuesday-
That's when TW is released, and I'm hoping the Interface Changes as well as the Trial... and the damn UGT changes as well! -
You know... it is rather ironic that this article came out and THEN Paragon Studios pulls the assinine move of charging you for Titan Weapons skins ON top of charging for the powerset....

I only want 4 things.....
A TRI-CORNER HAT AND A CHEF HAT!!!!!!!!!!!!
Also for Maces.. can we please get a Golf Club and a Rolling pin?? Think about it.. the Swedish Chef as a Brute..... bordybodybordy...SMASH!!! -
I was just hopping around Cap Au Diable doing the Origins of Power Arc and I found this in front of the Golden Roller...
It doesn't appear on the map, and I can't click on it.. has anyone seen this? -
Doms will get Illusion- AFTER the Devs beat the Illusion pets to a bloody pulp using a Nerf Bat. Synapse's recent comment about Unkillable pets being balance nightmares has me more convinced than ever that PA and the others will get heavily nerfed.
And to be honest- I will be VERY happy when they are. The fact that a Illusion character can have Unkillable pets that take aggro, fight and do serious damage at level 18 where no one else can is simply flat out BROKE. There is no way in hell they will proliferate it as it stands. I just hope I have enough popcorn to watch the ensuing nerdrage and Ragequits that will occur when they "destroy" Illusion Control. -

Quote:DANG... now you got me thinking....i bought 4 sets of the kinetic combats so could soft cap my def when dark control and assault drops. i also grabbed some windfalls and xp gains to help level my dark dom up faster. thinking about getting 2 basilisk gaze sets for the two holds too.
Plus I wonder if I have enough Unslotters and Respecs to pull all my real ToDs and Makos and 7.5%s out and sell them on the market and profit... hmmmmm -
Going pure uber-recharge may not be the best thing. One, your blue bar will disappear faster than a blink. You'll get hit with multiple Rage crash End reductions and the only thing stacking Rage avoids is the Defense debuff, the 10 second damage debuff still aplies PER crash I believe.
Going softcapped defense will still allow you to be "brutier", and you still build Fury like Crazy. Plus a soft-cap build for INV is dirt cheap compared to a recharge build. -
FYI guys... Synapse just posted that Assassin's Focus adds 33% crit chance to out of hide AS PER stack.
Sooo hit with 3 attacks outside of hide and the new uninterruptible (out-of-hide) AS has a 99% chance to crit... hehehe -
Quote:33% Per Stack??? AWESOME!Major typo on my part. I edited my original post to hopefully avoid future confusion! Sorry about this guys. TL;DR version:
-If hidden, Assassin Strike is interruptible and does scale 7 damage and can inflict demoralize.
-If not hidden Assassin Strike is NOT-interruptible and deals superior damage. Its critical chance is equal 33.3% per stack of Assassin's Focus.
Again, sorry for the confusion. Hopefully that clears things up!

Yeah.. I tend to see Elec/s here and there, not rare at all. The one Dom Primary I never see any more is Ice- and after playing it up to almost 20 I can see why!!!

Quote:I would imagine the reworked BP will have all kinds of tricks like the ACU/BCU stacking To Hit Buffs etc that will make even +1s sweat a bit- Not to mention the nastiness that Incarnate-level Tsoo could be (exploding Caltrops anyone? Spirits with Unstoppable?).They've said the zone is 50-54 - allowing +3s to street sweep 50s could lead to rewards coming too fast, with zero challenge.
Even with just the Aplha shift, that means that players will be taking on blues and whites - and even without the other 2 level shifts, full Incarnates are still going to be running around with their Lore pets and unleashing Judgement attacks on blue and white mobs.
Street sweeping drop rates will need to be attractive enough to be an option, but not enough to be the first choice for getting Incarnate rewards.
I usually get 4-5 Thread drops a Trial, if I get around 3-4 a street sweep I'll be happy. That's still 12-16% toward an unlock, which is far faster than now using shard farming. -
Soo True! I have no problem with killable pets.. I can finally Make a Fear Dom!!! YES!!!
-
I fully agree (though I doubt that damn Autumn Assault silliness will die as it should) and from what was said at the Powers Panel Dark Doms will be damn powerful- FINALLY a Dom with Fear Powers!!
