As the title states, selling this level 50 Crafted IO for 2.5b obo

I used to Zone PvP on a everyday basis, but when Issue 13's revamp totally changed the way it worked, I lost all interest in PvP.
Things, I dislike about it now:
- Heal Decay, totally removed the ability of healers in PvP Zones.
- Travel Suppression, I like the thrill of the hunt, I enjoy the chase and escape.
- Holds, this is a huge joke, trollers main ability to do damage and defeat people rely on holds, you took that ability away.
- Resistance, everyone has resistance to every type of damage, although this is cool for squishy type ATs, this is not what it's suppose to be like. My Defenders have more resistance than my tanks now.
- Diminishing Returns, this is by far the worst thing in the PvP system. You take the time to build your character up and slot it to the best of your ability only to enter the zone and be stripped of your hard work and time to get this character the way you like it. This was added to make things fair for people who don't have the time or effort to put into their character as many of us have already.
- Elusivity, a watered down version of what defense is suppose to be, get rid of this and give us our defense back. This is also part of Diminishing Returns above.
We lost a great deal of PvP players from all servers as well as the Test Server. It's just not what it use to be. I really hope things are done, because the current system has made me stop PvPing all together. -

As most of you know we've had a Super Group Recruitment thread stickied in the Pinnacle forums a while back. Since that thread is outdated as far back as 2007 and many of the groups no longer exist, this would be the perfect time to gt this thread up to date.

Wow, I forgot this feature even existed....lol
I've been using IOs for so long and since you can't combine them, I damn near forgot that was still in the game -
Memphis, not sure why you think I'm getting upset at you as I'm not, I was simply spiffballing my thoughts and posted them. So don't get all giddy thinking I'm trying to say your wrong in anyway, just shooting ideas out there and how things could be done, that's all. The way I read your previous post was Prestige wasn't a good way to show rankings, which I agree. I just felt since the game offers that, maybe he should too on the site.
A lot of people look at the top 100 SGs when it comes to looking for a good stable group. So I took what you had said and added to it, Prestige may not be meaningful to you or I, but to some it means a lot. We've seen that in the market section in many threads
I like the idea of giving options to the creator of the SG on the site the ability to use multiple check boxes and select the things that represent the SG, that way if people want to filter out PvP groups they can, if they want to see a list of SGs that farm or RP, they can. But as a default list, I think Forbin_Project hit it on the nose, Alphabetical is the best way and then people can filter by server and however else they want through the flagging system.
Just my thoughts -
Quote:That would be fine, but how can you tell the PvP Groups from the Farmer groups? And why even worry about things like that. Each group does their own thing, no need to filter them out. Just because one group converts thier earnings to prestige doesn't mean they cheated or gamed the system, everyone has the option to do that. So it doesn't make one group better than the other when it comes to purchasing prestige. And I wouldn't. Ranking by prestige means nothing. It could be a lousy SG with a few dedicated farmers and a high churn of members.
I'd say make a few ranking categories (and filters,) so if I went there looking for an SG, I could filter out, say, dedicated PVP groups, or RP-heavy groups, or "uniform required" type requirements as well as the obvious ones like "by filter."
But adding the ability to allow us to create a SG and give the option to use check marks to determine if we are a pvp group or rp, or if we've purchased infuence would be nice, but what about groups who converted to prestige, how to you determine which group is invalid compared to the next?
I personally wouldn't exclude anyone to be honest, but your filter idea sounds like a plan. -
Quote:Hi,
Was wondering if Super Group leaders would use a "site generator" where they can easily create and customise a site which would also be hosted.
Choices would be something like a ad supported free package then premium packages, with all registered SG's to the site being indexed and ranked.
If a lot of people like this, Ill see what I can do.
I won't knock your idea at all, rank them however you see fit, I think people will use it. I know I will.
But I would most likely go with prestige ranking as this is what the game uses. But that's entirely up to you. -

Quote:Well sorry to say this so bluntly, but I have enough friends alreadyYep I'm not worried about the count for myself. As I said I'm over half-way done myself. I'm just letting you know that there has been a good deal of whining about this badge on this forum already. Lots of people are apparently upset that 50 is "too much" for them. Just FYIing you that jumping in here to say it's "very easy" is not likely going to earn you that many more friends around here. *shrugs*
-
Lothic, you think I'm an *** about everything I say, so I won't try to retaliate on that. But I never said grinding out the badge in 11 days was easy, I said earning the badge was easy, just gonna take the casual player longer to get. 50 isn't as bad as most people think, it could have been much worse imo. I too felt 50 was pretty high, but considering the weeklys gave me something to do with my main, I went crazy! I earned the badge a lot faster than I anticipated as I was simply having fun running my main for something other than badges.
I was able to run my main with my SG and earn shards, merits..etc..etc while helping the SG members get all their characters the Notice of the Well, the next thing I knew the final badge popped. So after looking back at how easily I earned it and not thinking about how many I run a day, it was much more stress releaving than most of the people here on the forums claim.
My point here is, don't worry yourself about the actual count, just play your main and have fun and the next thing you know, you will have the badge -
I like this idea, but seriously, I'd much rather have a global bank account that all of my characters can share from. I can drop all my influence, enhancements...etc..etc in the bank and grab it as I need it.

Quote:I know it's it that big of a deal when it comes to HD space. My point was either way, increasing the roster size or making people create new SGs is the same bearing of space. Which is why I feel increasing the size will allow us larger groups to add more members, and at the same time not creating meaningless SGs that we don't use."Clutter up the server?" Really? Somehow I don't think a new SG is going to be all that much "clutter." Hard drive space is dead cheap, even at enterprise/server levels with higher reliability, data redundancy, error checking and the like entered into the price.
Make all the other arguments you want - I'm not against the idea, though they'd have to keep it at 150 *globals* to be sure nobody gets accidentally kicked by a lower limit - but hard drive space is really a non-starter of an argument.
Me personally, I don't see a real reason to create a secondary group, only to put your alts there. I'd rather keep all my characers in the same group and earn all the prestige I want with all of my characters rather then spreading it out over other groups that we will never really use. -
For the majority of the populus, I would agree, but my sg doesn't take that long. We set our records and try to beat them, this is also the fun part of these weeklys, our casual runs are between 30-40 minutes. I can't possibly see how a Kahn would take 90 minutes to complete. Unless you are defeating everything on every map, which is possible but I don't waste my time clearing every map.
-
This is exactly what I want to avoid. Yeah, let's clutter up the server with more SGs. Why do that when they can eliminate this and increase the roster size so this doesn't clutter up the game server's HD. Either way you look at it, increasing the roster size will help a lot of people. Making new SGs works, but is a stupid way to fix the problem imo.

I too seen this, but has anyone noticed a way to change this once you choose one or the other?

Quote:My concerns were based on my past experience with how NCsoft has used group memberships based on global names in one of their other games. There they didn't make the extra effort to let players join multiple groups. Once one character joined a group every other character is automatically enrolled in the same group and if one character quits then all characters quit because it isn't the character that joins/quits a group but the players global handle that joins/quits.
Yeah, I would agree that was a flaw in that mechanic. But this wasn't what I was suggesting at all. And I agree that would stink, I wouldn't like it either. -
Well considering the Kahn only takes 20 minutes to complete, yeah it was very easy
Not to mention between last week and this weeks weeklys, I was able to stock up over 2,000 merits on my main which I haven't played in a very long time, other than badge hunting. So yeah this was a huge plus for me and will remain to be a plus in my book.
We've been talking about Weekly TFs with double reward bonus for a very long time within our SG and when this was announced, we loved it! I think its the best thing the devs have added in a very long time, incarnate system aside, this is fantastic. The incarnate system is just a plus for me, and I'm on my way to unlocking each of the trees that way I can switch to whatever I may need depending on the situation
But yeah I agree, no more of these badges, its pointless. And if they do add more, no biggie as I plan to run a ton of these on my main regardless. -
It was very easy to get these 3 badges, but I'd rather not. It's bad enough the devs removed the AE badges and did away with a lot of badges like this, I was very shocked to even see thee 3 badges.
If they make more of this badges, then I say bring back the other badges which were removed from the game and give them back to us. -
Quote:No your post wasn't confusing... the first few dozen times I've seen it suggested over the years. I'm not saying your idea is a bad one. But it's definitely not original and, based on the fact that nothing's been done about it for years, is clearly non-trivial as well.
And since your goal can be accomplished (at least in part) by the alternative workaround of simply increasing the current SG character limit it would seem much more likely to be accomplished that way than via the major undertaking you're calling for.
I would like to see something happen. Our SG is growing by the day and the limits are hindering the group. At this time, it would be more than sufficient if the actual limits of the SG were raised. I mean seriously, if you had 5 RL friends that play this game and they all wanted to be in the same SG, and had all of their slots unlocked, they could easily cap out the SG roster.
We currently have 31 active members, and more in our application process for our SG. It would be nice to see the limits raised again to 300 or even 500. Because I personally stay in a single SG, I don't spread out my characters in multiple SGs, nor do the other members of my group. I really hope the devs see this and take this into consideration for us larger groups out there that share this same exact problem.
I see many groups out there with multiple SGs with the same name and ending with Elite, Legends...etc..etc. This was done by many groups for this very reason. Stop making us create secondary groups for our alts and increase the SG roster limits so all of our member's characters can stay under one roof if we so choose. -

Quote:Is there a thread about this? I'm curious.Have you tried letting your computer sit for five to ten minutes when it gets stuck at the "loading" screen? There was a change in the last patch that made part of the loading process much slower than it used to be; it might be hitting your computer especially hard.

Quote:Economy.
It seems sad to counter a point with one word, but there it is.
With storage for recipes, less would go on the market, probably, and it would be bad.
Not sure if you've looked at the Market, but its bad already. So adding this would only keep it the same IMO. Not saying I agree with the sugg=estion as I craft everything I want to keep so either way it wouldn't bother me.
