ahhhh...strangely enough i was thinking/pondering if it had to do anything with a zone
thanks for the info -
"Incarnate ability Spiritual Core Paragon has not been equipped because you have activated a power or have been attacked too recently."
this is the message I'm getting in game when attempting to slot the tier 4 Incarnate enhancement into the Alpha Slot. I've got all powers turned off, including Hasten, and standing still in Ouroboros.
Are the Tier 4's not working in the Alpha slot yet? -
Hotamali as a SS/Fire/Soul. I posted my build below, keep in mind most of the time I play doms but I've had this brute since willpower first came out. Eventually I'll put Stupefy in Jab (it's rarely used but getting another 6.25% recharge is welcomed), Hecatomb into Haymaker, Absolute Amaz into the rez (want that additional 10% recharge, plus itll be nice as a "just in case"). Actually used the rez twice during the runs, once at the start of the Nemesis test run and at the start of the Freaks test run. Gloom will get Apoc's (have 4 of the recipes already just waiting for the other to drop) It's rare I purchase purps. I almost always wait for the drops and just collect
Yes I'm hording them :P
Anyways, onto the testing:
Settings were +2x8 without bosses
Nem test run: completed with more then 10 mins to spare (wasn't able to get exact time)
Freak test run: completed with exactly 7 mins to spare
BTW, I'm soooooooo lovin' burn!
Also, I wanted to make it clear Rage was NOT even used at all during both runs but dropped inspirations were.

hey all, i can't seem to find the answers for these questions i've got about attempting to switch sides.
do i have to do story archs or any missions, like papers in order to see possible clues to do a moral mission?
after a selected few moral missions do i get access to praetoria with the char i want to switch sides? or is praetoria only for lvl 1-20? -
Quote:huh? is there an article or post somewhere stating this?
Well, now that I found out that you need to create a new toon in order to access the new GR zones
on topic, just about any primary is good for soloing especially mixed with certain secondaries. only exception would be gravity. it can be brutal leveling a grav/thorn for instance.
new to doms, i'd advise stone, plant, or mind first. -
Quote:exactly! RoF and Fireball, wow. im pleasantly surprised.Y'know, I had hoped and dreamed for Rain of Fire and Fireball on my Fire/Fire dom, but I never thought they'd actually give it to me. Glee.
hhmmm to stay with soul mastery or to play with new powers...oh the torment -

looks like the new vid shows the new sleep power Static Field, an AoE immob, and the new Jolting Chains knockdown power. Ghost Falcon gone vigilante! (Invisible Falcon, thanks paragonwiki)
from :59-1:04
can't tell for sure, but is a PBAoE aura power like Lightning Field on one of the chars in this portion of the vid? I sooooooo hope we get Lightning Field! looks like the AoE immob (like elec fences) and Jolting Chains plus the "bubble" effect from a hold can be seen also -

i posted that also on the dom board
Q5 Could you tell us a little more about Electric Control? I'm especially curious about the top tier power, is it another petless set? If not, could you tell us what the pet is? How is it different from the other control power sets?
C! : Electric Control has a few very interesting power. Jolting Chains, is a Knockdown power that can go through a spawn and knock them all down, one after another. It's pretty amazing to watch. Static Field is a placeable Sleep power. Now, I know what most players think of Sleep effects, but our closed Beta testers really seem to like it, with comments like "This is the first Sleep power I consider worth it." The Tier 9 is Gremlins -- little electrical guys who toss out bolts of lightning. -
not sure if anyone else saw this yet on facebook:

I'm keeping my eyes open for more info (hopefully soon) on elec/ control. 3 powers confirmed
If Jolting Chains knocks down all enemies, I wonder how the animation timing is and taking damage from those who aren't knocked down right away. -
lol oh yeah DUH ME! i forgot about that part of pre-ordering...*hides in embarrassment*
-
Demon Summoning isnt a selectable power choice for me...the text is there but its not highlighted to be selectable...
??? am i missing something? i even tried choosing all the different origins but still doesn't matter. -
-
have the drops changed?
i was under the impression the unique Numina's Con +rec +regen recipe wasn't a "drop" type recipe inside a regular mission. but that's exactly what i rec'd running my "investigate freaks in tv" farm (along with two purps). -
Quote:ah yes, when I returned to the game after the "break", I noticed the massive drop in damage output on PSW. But Soul Drain certainly helps.Take a look at the damage psychic shockwave does now, and then at what foot stomp does (with near full fury plus rage)
I'll have to get my SS/Elec up someday for comparison, though he's been sitting at 26 for 2 yrs -
even as a solo farmer?
only reason I ask is I farm solo the majority of the time (last farm with a team was pre-AE then disappeared for about 6 months thanks to real life issues)
so forgive the ignorance but I just don't see how a solo SS/WP(FIRE, etc) brute would be better for farming. Then again, maybe, possibly, it depends on the mission for the farm and what foes are being attacked. -
it might be better to post a possible build you'd like to play first...
whenever I plan builds, I look at the forums for advice too, or read up on powers not just on the forums but with Mids or paragonwiki. -
Quote:made some adjustments (bolded) in the buildThanks, Min! How's this look now?
1: Char Acc, Hold, Hold REC, END
1: Psionic Dart Acc
2: Mind Probe Acc, Dam, Dam, Rech DAM, END
4: Fire Cages Acc, EndRdx, Immob, IMMOB, ACC, REC
6: Hasten Rech, Rech, Rech
8: HURDLE
10: MENTAL BLAST OR TT*either attack, personally I'd take Mental Blast*
12: Flashfire Acc, Acc, Disor Dur, Disor, Rech, Rech
14: SS *if you're choosing fly because you like it, prefer it, or for concept then disregard this. There's an unlimited amount of Jetpacks to be purchased in Grandville if you need vertical movement*
16: Psychic Scream Acc, Acc, Dam, Dam, Dam, EndRdx
18: HEALTH
20: Drain Psyche Acc, Heal, Rech, Rech, Heal, Rech
22: Stamina EndMod, EndMod, EndMod
24: Hot Feet EndRdx, EndRdx, Acc, Dam, Dam,DAM
26: Telekinetic Thrust? Smoke? Acc, Dam, Rech, Dam
28: Subdue Acc, Dam, Dam, End, Rech
30: Assault or Maneuvers?
32: Fire Imps Acc, Dam, Dam, Dam
35: Tactics EndRdx, ToHit, ToHit, TOHIT
38: Psychic Shockwave Acc, Dam, Dam, Rech, Rech, EndRdx Acc
41: Charged Armor (Mu Mastery?) EndRdx, ResistDam, Resist, Resist
44: Power Sink? Surge of Power?
47: Summon Guardian Acc, Dam, Dam, Dam, Rech, Rech
49: Vengeance? Ball Lightning?
That's a tight set of power choices, with these questions left:
- Is Telekinetic Thrust now a key power?
I could take Smoke instead, which might save me a couple of smacks on the head. I could also take an Aid power.
- Assault or Maneuvers?
- Now that I have Stamina, am I best with a Patron Pool other than Mu Mastery?
Or stick with it but replace Power Sink with Surge of Power? I'm a PvE player who teams as often as possible, soloing when needed.
- Vengeance or Ball Lightning?
- Any slotting changes?
Are you planning on using recipes or just IO's for enhancements?
Telekinetic Thrust in the early level can be a good thing to get foes off of you but keep in mind if Fire Cages is cast, then the KB effect will not happen. FC makes foes rooted. Also FC will draw alot of aggro to you so be careful not to start out a fight with that power.
As far as Smoke goes, it's situational. I personally haven't taken it on either Fire/Psys I've got (2 perma Fire/Psys).
I'd take Cinders at 26. It's the ruh-roh power to use when too many foes are attacking all at once on ya. But that's just my personal preference.
Assault or maneuvers at lvl 30? hhmmm, I'd take assault.
Patron Powers, think of changing over to Soul Mastery.
Dark Embrace at 41 (4 slots) end red, res, res, res
Soul Drain at 44 (5 slots) acc, acc, dam, rec, rec *this power is like WHOA! it'll boost your acc and damage output tremendously.
at 47, I like Dark Obliteration over the pet. (5 slot) acc, acc, dam dam, end *or pick up Dark Consumption if you're hurting for endurance constantly -

For some reason, in all my time playing this, I've never once been here in december. Can you give multiple gifts? or just one per character?
[/ QUOTE ]
same here but ive only been playing the game for about 1 and 1/2. missed out on last years winter event.
so is it best to team up with others to check all the presents/potential spawns? like during the halloween event teaming for door spawns -

... That's an enormous relief. Maybe I'd just set up my interface wrong.

thanks for this thread talen
pre-I13 i didnt even bother lookin into the new sets.
after reading the original post on monday, all day long i was hoping my bid of $143 mill for a lvl 25 LotG i had put in the night before wasn't going to go thru. and lucky me it didn't.
i was able to cancel that bid and use that inf to buy 8 total recipes of expedient enforcements to slot my imps and guardian. plus 5 recipes for obliteration
so thanks to you, i've added 17.5% recharge
don't think im gonna go with the basilik's gaze set though. im happy with ghost widows embrace for the hold+ the sets proc
its not a complete "im in love with my build"...yet. but its much better than it was pre-I13 (thats mostly due to my own misuse and ignorance of the "rule of 5")

I would assume that as this is part of the I12 stuff, they will come with actual the I12 patch.
[/ QUOTE ]
that was my assumption too, but wasn't sure since the reactivation only happened just before my original post
so YAY! i'll be gettin my two additional slots! -
have the 2 extra slots already been given out?
or will they be given out to any active accounts when i12 hits?
was wonderin this since i took a 4 month break and have recently reactivated my account
ggrrr @ RL -
I'm currently on a mission given to me by the Radio in Port Oakes. I've gathered the info for Catching the Council Spy and now it's off to catch him/her. The problem is he/she is down 200 ft from directly where I can stand.
I know there has to be a way down, but I can't find it. The timer started at 60 mins and now I have 45 mins left to complete it.
...can anyone help me out how to get down where I need to be to get past this mission with success?
