I believe that that image is owned by Disney and that Paragon/NC would have to pay royalties to use it.

The Whip attacks in Demon Summoning are worth taking.
All other MM attacks should be brought up to that level.
And I like the Vigilance style buff added to Supremacy, that's a great idea! That should be on TOP of buffing the attacks base damage. -

The only thing better than what has been suggested in this thread would be account wide storage (Damn it, I KNOW I have that Mu Vestament on some character, and it's going to tick me off to pay 2 mil for it so I can get it now).
Quote:Sorry for the double post but I've been thinking about this and wanted to make sure I was understanding... are you basically wanting an update to the auction house that would, for example, tell you if you have 5 recipes on you, it will look at the necessary components for all those recipes and then, after deducting the salvage you have on hand, compile a shopping list that looks sort of like:
5 Alchemical Silver
1 Black Blood of the Earth
8 Masterwork Weapon
1 Mu Vestment
1 Rune
That way, when you go to the auction house, you know to buy exactly that many items in order to complete all the recipes you currently have on hand? -
I like the buff station idea, and HOT is a good improvement.
But if you don't like a floating Spirit Tree, why not have it walk on its roots?
Just a random thought, although as a Spirit Tree it would be ok for it to float. -
Quote:Put a space at the end of CEBR, your arc is on top. Mrs. TD's test arc is right below it.I didn't post the number, because the name is easier to remember. I assumed CEBR would be uncommon if not unique. Unfortunately it's right in the middle of the word Peacebringer, so you have to look through a list if you search for CEBR. It'll be easier to find if people rate it well, since it'll be around the top of the list.

I've had the client lock up on my system repeatedly now for some time.
I'm running the latest drivers, have 25 Mbps up and down, keep my HDDs defragged and my Registry compacted.
I run What's Running and keep my system pretty clean.
I'm running Wind7 64 bit on 8GB of RAM, I'm specifically NOT running MSI Afterburner.
I suppose you would like a DXDiag? -

Quote:I'm ok with this as long as my earth/fire/ice platform has an appropriate trail (aura) with it that can be turned off if people don't want it.Ice and Earth Slide are nothing more than Hoverboard with a different object to stand on and since we are already getting HoverBoard all we need is a selection of platforms to choose from so it can be customized.
Yes please! I seriously hate the Hasten glowie hands. Followed closely by the Superspeed glowie feet. -
Quote:I'd go for this.I think the only way this would be balanced is if the resulting inspiration always defaults to the lowest teir of the three used to make it. For example if I read what you said correctly you'd want to be able to take a tier 4 yellow and two tier 1 yellows and have a 1/3 chance of creating a tier 4 wakey. Somehow I think the Devs would consider that too powerful. But as a desperation maneuver they'd probably let that same combination work if it -always- produced a tier 1 wakey.
It's a net value thing: I doubt the Devs would ever give us a serious chance to be able to "upgrade" junk inspirations to top level ones like that. -
Quote:Agreed, though I'd rather see this for $5 (one month's PPs for a VIP player)1. Multiple Auto-fire: I'd pay extra to be able to set 1 or two more powers on auto fire. It's particularly vexing to micromanage several 90 second duration abilities with short cooldowns that you want to keep up as often as possible. Even if it was limited to three total powers on autofire and I had to pay 10 bucks individually for the 2nd and 3rd I'd totally spend the cash in a heartbeat. Some AT's are basically locked out of using the default auto fire for anything but a specific power they need to have up all the time to survive (i'm looking at you practiced brawler and friends...)
Quote:2. Bonus slots for powers: I'd pay for extra enhancement slots to add to my powers. Sometimes slots are tight in certain builds and I'd easily pay 10-20 bucks for an additional 5 slots. That said this feature would seem better as a One time only per character voucher type reward for tier 9 VIPs rather than something you could buy repeatedly account wide. -
Bill, I'm ashamed of you.
KB is fine as is, except for a bunch of whiners who won't learn to use it, and of course the melee players who still whine for healers on their team.
Forget them, wash your hand of the losers, and move on.

Quote:Or just let them reply to tells. They can't initiate so you've dealt with the RMTers, but their buddies can send a tell to get them to team up.Like I mentioned in another thread, one possible solution to the freebie player's tell situation is allowing them to send tells to friends.
Nobody friends an RMTer, not unless they're a masochist.
Sure they can't exactly send tells to strangers but it would make tells more useful for free players while keeping the spammers out. -
Quote:My bots/traps MM is constantly clicking on his powers, summoning pets and traps whether is makes sense or not (because I tried only doing it when it made sense and kept getting 10 threads) and guess what I get? That's right, 10 threads.Well, then, if you remove participation, what's to stop groups of - let's call them "grinders" - who invite friends to sit at the door while they take their three best tanks/brutes/whatever and basically almost solo the mission - and then their friends, who sat at the door, did nothing, just chilled - got an Uncommon or Rare table?
I'd call that an abuse of the system.
It's sort of like during Infinite Crisis, Superman taking on Anti-Matter while Wonder Woman and Batman sat and waited for their l00t because they didn't feel they were able to participate well enough.
I get it - some people feel they are getting cut out of rewards. I have a Dominator and as we know, my holds/immobs are perceived as [/i]useless[/i] - but I've got 2 rare tables last week because I've moved beyond the idea that I need to hold/immob everything and focused on what else I could be doing.
The Participating System is gratifying everyone, I hear it, I get it. But it needs to be there because these Trials are about participation. To remove it would allow people to kick back, relax, and soaking up l00t (in a worst case scenario.)
So, again /unsigned
So I've tried my primary, no luck there. I've tried my 2ndary, no luck there. I've tried not going into the Lab/Warehouse and just laying traps all around where Marauder is going to show up. And I've tried everything else I can think of. Know what I get for my trouble? I'll bet you can guess on the very first try! Starts with 10.....
My Storm Def was almost as bad until I started just acting like a blaster. Now I'm less effective, but I get my rewards.
If they are going to keep the participation metric it needs to be based on To Hit rolls. My pet and pseudopet To Hit rolls need to be credited to me. All the neat defensive powers (bubbles, shields, etc) all have To Hit rolls so everyone gets to participate. And everyone gets a reward for doing so.
I don't like the back of the bus, know what I mean? -
Quote:Ian already dealt with my major objection. Your final paragraph voices the only other objection I have, and I check my inventory regularly to clean out the trash anyway. What I'd like to see? Make it so that if you craft a temp power you already have, it adds additional uses.
One man's garbage is another man's treasure. You're arguing from a thematic perspective, so let me make some counterarguments:
You have a Rambo-type character. You want to, thematically, be able to use heavy weapons, but the best you can get for a power set is Assault Rifle, which wouldn't satisfy as much as, say, a chain gun or rocket launcher (like what 5th Column and Destroyers use).
Or maybe your character is meant to be both a skilled martial artist and swordfighter, but you can only pick one of those as a powerset. On the other hand, if you picked up Martial Arts and used a temporary katana you could change that.
Or, maybe your character is a streetwise street fighter and you want to be able to use a whole lot of different weapons to reflect your character's "anything I can get my hands on" mentality. Baseball bats, sledgehammers, rocks and throwing knives are perfect for that.
My only real beef with the craftable temporary powers is that you can't stock up on charges, you have to wait until your power is fully depleted until you can craft another. Meanwhile, the recipe is taking up personal or auction inventory space. -
Please no.
There is already too much garbage on the reward tables for recipe drops.
You got a hand grenade, congratz, you're a mage. What are you going to do with that?
Oh I'm a Blaster and I got Gabriel's Hammer, great.
A....revolver? I have super powers, no thanks.
A baseball bat? Seriously?
etc. etc. etc.
Sure, I use an occasional temp power recipe where it's in theme with the character. Many of my characters try to keep Recovery Serum, Envenomed Dagger, and maybe one or 2 of the other temps handy. But that's not a chore, they drop like rain during a monsoon.
Most of that, frankly along with most of the other drops in game is vendor trash.
I'll gladly send you just about 100 of any temp power you'd like. Just don't put more of them in the reward tables. -
Quote:Excellent point. However, I do not believe this will speed things up much since E Merits can be spent on other things besides Threads and iSalvage.I'm not saying this is inherently a bad idea, but I would like to point out that by using A-Merits you're excluding Vigilante and Rogue characters from the conversion system completely. Of course, they could always switch alignments, but it seems a bit cumbersome to lock people into Hero or Villain alignments for weeks or months. I guess you could let Vigs and Rogues use the appropriate amount of regular Merits + inf, but that could have its own issues.
Also, you're thinking of it in terms of an alternate progression system, but what you're actually offering is an *additional* system which would allow people to run Trials and also convert A-Merits, and spend the extra Empyrean Merits on whatever they like. Again, I'm not saying that's necessarily bad, but it does let people speed up progression through the system.
Quote:That is a very good point about Vigilantes/Rogues. I think they should just get A-Merits anyway. I have some characters that are Vigilantes but I don't really run tips on them due in part to the lack of A Merits.
On a personal note: I hate the market. I have neither the time, nor the inclination to play City of Day Traders. This is the reason A Merits are such a huge draw for me. If I need some less expensive items from the market I can use A Merits to get one of the Big Three, dump it on the market for 100-150 million Inf, buy the less expensive shinies I want and be on my way. This is WHY the A Merits have what some might consider a disproportionately high value to me. -
Quote:Which is the whole point of this thread. Group Fly needs to be fixed.Hit the hammer on the head of the nail here. I played last weekend with a guy who swore by it. He didn't know that his minions will appear next to him at 179 feet automatically. I told him this but he keep using it. I finally told him it reduces accuracy but he just didn't get it...so I kicked him. Group fly is like a beautiful woman. It looks sexy until you start to interact with it. Group fly is for the inexperienced.
If Group Fliers flew faster than the caster this would be a good start. Much less chance of them dropping out of GF, especially if NPCs get a "follow ahead" algorithm to where they attempt to stay 15 ft (approx 3 m.) in front of the caster. This would have to be written to supersede normal following behavior.
Next dump the ACC penalty, it's not needed with Suppression.
3rd, make it declinable. -
Quote:Have you (2nd person singular) every played an MM? Seem like half the time the henchmen do whatever they want to once the fight starts. Much like what you describe above.I agree that it's a vague and rather silly distinction to make.
If I had to hazard a guess it's that a SG Leader guides his subordinates towards an action, but that subordinate is free to go off and do it his way, or not do it at all instead. That there may be repercussions for the subordinates actions is unimportant, it's only important that the subordinate has the ability to chose not to do what the SG leader says.
A MM tells their minions what to do, and the minions do it. Period. I don't agree with that though, a Comic Book Mastermind's minions are easily able to ignore the MM's orders and go about his own business as he sees fit. (With the exception of those that are directly mind controlled, which None of the in-game minions are stated to be. (Player Character concept is irrelevant in this regard as You* are the one making the distinction here, not the game.))
*Nebulous "you" not specific "You."
Why would a hero "group" (i.e. a heroic MM) be less disciplined than a villain group? Is there some reason that DumDum or Reb wouldn't take order from Sgt. Fury? -
Quote:It's a concept thing, and regrettably this game doesn't support concept all that well.I'm not against the idea, here... all for it, actually. We're just looking at alternate graphics, after all -
But why should this bug you any more than them getting on the train to go between zones? Or (yeah, can't do this in game, but work with me) getting into a car to get to the store? Magic *themed,* after all, doesn't need to mean "can't touch anything mechanical at all."
I RP a fair bit, but just don't "get" that. *shrug*
Some characters could be mixed magic and tech, others are pure (in my concepts). Some characters it doesn't bother me on, other's it's "Hey I do everything through magic, it's my MO".
It's not THAT big a deal, but it'd be a nice QoL improvement. -
Quote:You failed to read the entire post. The concept is that if A Merits can be exchanged for E Merits, at the rate of A Merit receipt (1 every 2 days) you will take that long to unlock one of the tier 2 powers (Alpha being the tier 1) by exchanging E Merits for threads.Incorrect. It'd take about three to four hours, spread out more or less evenly over the space of slightly more than a week.
To get the common? 45 minutes a day for roughly ten days.
Yes, grinding the hell out of trials can get you the same result in about three or four hours in one day, but that's not counting the amount of time it takes to get a league formed up (or the LFG queue to fill).
So yes, in terms of actual calendar time it's significantly longer, but in terms of /play/ time, not nearly so much.
Thereby justifying the 1 to 1 exchange rate. -
Does the -50% Acc still apply to Group Fly?
My Bots MM has it for concept and convenience, but daaaaang the bots can't keep up. So I pause every 50 yds or so to let them catch up.
It'd be nice to see it fixed.
For MMs it'd be nice to give the pets a lesser version of the same travel the MM has, just for theme's sake. I mean the henchies already get SJ of sorts (though they never use it for non-vertical travel), why not just expand on that?
