Bumping's against forum rules, and so is ranting.

The alpha slot abilities all act like extra enhancements slotted into your powers. So a +damage alpha ability is like slotting a damage enhancement in the pet power. Etc.
If a power cannot slot a type of enhancement, it doesn't use it (e.g. Vengeance won't use +recharge alpha abilities).

There is a button at the bottom of the Options window that says "restore to default" (or something like that). It's near the "save as default" (or something) button.

I shoot for around 30-40% accuracy, either via enhancements or via set bonuses, and a lot of the time don't even slot directly for accuracy because you can get accuracy in set bonuses very easily -- especially if you're going for +recharge, because +acc is very commonly the bonus before +rech. Also, pretty much all of my characters have the kismet piece, typically slotted in Combat Jumping or Hover. (All my characters have one or the other of these now due to inherent stamina.)
On my claws/regen scrapper, I didn't slot for accuracy AT ALL. Anything she has in her powers is incidental on the way to capping damage and then going for recharge (she has 115% recharge set bonuses WITHOUT hasten). -
You click in the plus sign to expand the pet's power.
edit: ParagonWiki doesn't have pretty much anything in the way of Real Numbers details on powers. (There are a few Real Numbers in some places, but the wiki is meant to be an overview/description/lore site, and leaves the Real Numbers to a site better suited to it. Which would be Tomax, but it's currently on the sidelines due to its developer taking a hiatus.) -
Quote:I didn't say anything about Threads. We're talking about Shards here. I have never seen anything, anywhere, that said Shards don't drop in the trials (Threads dropping or not have nothing to do with Shards dropping or not). Shards drop from any enemy now if you've unlocked Alpha, and I don't see why the Trials should be treated any differently.WAI, I *think*. Shards drop from any enemies if you've unlocked the Incarnate system, and I don't think I ever saw it stated they've explicitely turned off shards in the trials.

This is, frankly, stupid and unintuitive.

Nitpicking. You'll notice I also mentioned the Alpha slots in my post.

I kind of threw up in my mouth a little when I saw the new team UI, and when I saw the "classic" view, it happened again.
To make matters worse, in order to see names on the "classic" view, I have to put my nose very close to the screen and squint. The color choices are pretty terrible all around. -
Quote:1. Not me. I never concentrate on a single character. I find that incredibly boring.1) Who is concentrating on solely one character now to fully unlock all available slots and equipping them instead of multiple characters?
2) Are you continuing to run the Weekly Task Forces?
3) Do the unlocked alpha's even need to run them anymore?
4) Who has more than one or two incarnates that they will bring up through this BAF & Lambda 'raids'.
2. Yes. I am not concentrating on a single character.
3. Sure. You can trade shards for threads, at a 10:10 or 10:5 ratio (depending on the last time you traded) (plus 2.5 mill, which you should basically get in the process of getting 10 shard drops). Everything for the alpha slot breaks down into shards. Plus shards drop from dudes. That's a lot of threads.
4. That would be me. I have four characters I'm working through Incarnates on. I have a few characters within spitting distance of 50 (but I have no idea how long they'll take to GET TO 50), who will then be joining in the raiding. -
Issue 20 came out TWO DAYS AGO. I think pitching a witch fit this early is HUGELY overreacting. PUGs are completing the trials. Non-PUGs are completing the trials. You get rewarded for EXPERIENCING the trial, not for completing the trial. Isn't that kind of what the points are called... "EXPERIENCE" points? Not "COMPLETION" points?
This is not the endgame. This is THE START OF the endgame. There are more trials to come. There are more slots to come. There will be more ways to get what's currently out there when new stuff comes (just like there's now another wya to get the Alpha stuff, now that I20 is here). -
Mortimer Kal and Admiral Sutter are not leet incarnate stuff. They're level 20-40 TFs. They take about 30 min to an hour to finish (more if you're all new, I guess).

Quote:The wiki page indicates this is no longer true. It does not give a patch date regarding this. I don't have access to this IO, so I cannot test this myself, but this seems like something that should be tested and confirmed before we continue saying either statement (suppression vs not).2) Every time it activates, it prevents itself from activating for a while. This keeps it from being overpowered in something like Footstomp.

I've gotten one purple drop. It was very soon after Inventions came out, and nothing since. My boyfriend very rarely has his account active, and yet he's gotten somewhere between ten and fifteen purple drops. It's frustrating, but random is random.

Try IJKL for WASD. Alternately, move over one for OKL; (bonus for this is your right hand is pretty much on home row; of course, this bonus only applies if you type via home row :P ).

Most of these questions can be answered by reading up on Inventions on the wiki:
http://www.paragonwiki.com/wiki/Invention_System
--- http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Inventio...n_Enhancements
--- http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Inventio...hancement_Sets
--- http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Inventio...nt_Set_Bonuses
For details on each individual IO set, type in the name in the search field, e.g.
--- http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Luck_of_the_Gambler
--- --- click on the "Defense/Increased Recharge Speed" for the individual IO details -
Quote:I have Mids open pretty much all the time. I have Sentinel open all the time. It takes about 10 seconds to go from in-game, alt+tab to Sentinel, hit a button, alt+tab to Mids, alt+i, ctrl+i, alt+w, ctrl+b.Sounds like that takes longer than just using your eyes while you're playing the game and counting, but that's just me.
How fast can you get into your manage enhancements screen and go through all of your enhancements to make sure you've only got five set bonuses of a particular kind, of a particular percentage? Because the /infoself window doesn't tell you if you're accidentally slotting six of something.

In the announcements, it said that only people who got forcibly renamed would get a token. That's not to say they won't give a global rename token to everyone, just that as it's currently announced, no.
Everything else in your post is unanswerable by a player. PM a red name if you really want to (I recommend Zwillinger, he's pretty good about responding and forwarding on questions/feedback). -
Don't do any more redeeming or deleting. Or creating, for that matter (beyond what you know for certain you had open on the 4th).
They're looking into it. -

Unsubbing the notifs is through the master account, not per-account. However, the newsletters themselves seem to be sent one for every account on file. It changed at some point. It's really annoying.
I should be getting two newsletters (two master accounts). I'm getting FIVE! (one true account per master account, two abandoned trial accounts, one erroneously created account that was canceled [as in "banned"] and rolled into my main account, way back when the system was confusing on how to "add" a game versus "upgrade").
