WAI, I *think*. Shards drop from any enemies if you've unlocked the Incarnate system, and I don't think I ever saw it stated they've explicitely turned off shards in the trials.

Um, just out of curiosity Firespray did you unlock your ALPHA slot in that BAF? That automatically drops a Shard in the Mender whatsisname arc so that may be where that shard from the BAF came from.

I too have gotten Shard drops in the trials (twice now). They are very rare. I assume it is an odd bug that occasionally crops up. It was reported in the Beta, but it is likely one of those bugs that is so intermittent, it may be hard to fix (and it also is mostly a non-issue, so it is likely very low priority).

Tactics are for those who do not have a big enough hammer. Wisdom is knowing how big your hammer is.
I know I've gotten several shard drops in trials. Got threads in the same trial. I don't remember anything saying shards DON'T drop in trials just as they do anywhere else. Just threads ONLY drop in trials. Remember the shard drop rate is much lower than threads...and I know in the BAF, you really don't do too much killing. You might only get one or two on a trial depending on how much the RNG likes you.
I think this is no bug. They've changed the drops with Issue20. Now Shards will drop when you are doing TFs like the Numina-One when you are playing this with your alpaslotted Character. So why shouldn't the shards drop on the Trials then?

yeah i dont see this as a bug at all. shards coem from anything now, while threads ONLY come from Incanate trials.
ive gotten a few in BAF.
I got a Shard during a Lambda trial while attacking one of the MOBs outside the walls. I see no reason why this is a "bug" of any kind - I just see it as the "rare random chance drop from killing a MOB" situation. *shrugs*

- Incarnate Shards can be earned by those who have their Alpha Slot unlocked even when exemplared. Incarnate Shards will not drop during Incarnate Trials, Incarnate Threads will drop instead.
I've read somewhere that maybe when you are in the hospital you could get shard drops. Could be the person did get a shard in the hospital and figure'd maybe it was excluded. Might be observational bias.

During a BAF today, I got a shard drop. I don't remember the circumstances, but I know I got one. Is this WAI, or should I /bug it if it happens again? I thought they were only supposed to drop threads, but I'm not 100% sure.
