I whole heartedly agree. Give us Jetpacks, please.

Oh, re-enable my Alpha slot back in the trial while you're at it.

Agreed, I think it'd be good to try to make it so the temp travel powers would work (after all, Ninja Run works in it, and I believe the Jump Pack did as well).

Now you've crossed the line. That's just wholly unreasonable, and I now have to reject everything you ever have, or ever will support.

You can get up there with cj/hurdle or ninja run, but it takes some doing. I got up there once, then promptly fell off since i could barely control my character thanks to the lag.
I get that they don't want temps available so folks won't use shivans/nukes/heavies etc but definitely miss my raptor. Maybe a special incarnate jet pack could be added or something? Not sure if they can code an exemption for one temp power but anything to address this would be welcome.

The didn't want people using Shivans, nukes, and other overpowered temporary powers in these trials. I can only guess that it is difficult to code it so only certain temporary powers would not function, so they turned them all off.

I wholeheartedly agree that temp flight packs should be usable in these iTrials...kept trying to use mine this morning...luckily I have Inertial Reduction but still....

Maybe the devs thing that if you need a temp power, other than the ones provided just for that task, you don't deserve to be an incarnate?

The GVE Jetpack still works.

How do I get the GVE Jetpack? I was trying to use the day job jetpack.

I think that's the one you get when you buy the "Good vs Evil" combo pack (back when CoV was still "new'ish" they released a package/box to stores called the GvE edition). I think you can still buy it on the ncsoft store.

You also get the Pocket D tp power.

You have to have purchased the Good vs. Evil Edition expansion, and it isn't a jetpack, but rather a jump-pack (The jump pack provides a slower super jump capability, and automatically shuts off after 30 seconds, at which point there is a pretty lengthy recharge).

And yet... Sands of Mu is disabled, but Dimensional Grounding Ray is not. Jetpack is disabled, but Secondary Mutation is not.

Is there some gamebreaking need to disable Sands of Mu?

Mind you, you get infinite jump, so you can just press it at any time and start jumping as well! The recharge isn't that lengthy (2 minutes, iirc?).

Yes, two minutes. And it is affected by recharge buffs.

Definitely agree about the jet pack issue... have had grouped with lots of super speed here.

Maybe we could get some kind of benefit specifically for Trials from our Alpha Slot, like an Incarnate Hover or something? Not overly powerful, just something to help them get up on the walls, or around in the next maps.

Secondary Mutation might not actually be disabled, but since it grants you a passive buff temp power, it doesn't work in the trial... unless you use it *before* you enter the trial.

Mystic Fortune is the same way.

These aren't Temp Powers, however, they are Inherent powers, such as Sprint and Rest.

I like using temp powers of all kinds; most are very useful, and not overpowered. The ones that are relatively powerful, are harder or more expensive to get.

Was there evidence in beta testing that some temp powers were making the trials too easy? I find that hard to believe, except by exception. And not just the vet and bonus pack powers; why can't we use our resuscitators and med-packs and such?

It's a small thing when compared to all the other problems this issue has at launch, but it's still silly to have this restriction.

Raptor packs should be available in these trials.

Nukes/Shives etc - fair game but really raptor packs and sands of mu?! I'm sure someone will duo the trials with sands of mu and a smile at some point but for the rest of us it's just annoying.

And predictably annoying.
