In the announcements, it said that only people who got forcibly renamed would get a token. That's not to say they won't give a global rename token to everyone, just that as it's currently announced, no.
Everything else in your post is unanswerable by a player. PM a red name if you really want to (I recommend Zwillinger, he's pretty good about responding and forwarding on questions/feedback).

Is it likely that even if your global isn't changed when the merge happens we could get a global rename token? I changed my global when I started playing gain but now I've gotten married in game, I want to change it to reflect my in game hubby's name but can't. Is it something we could ever purchase, like character slots or boosters?
