Which ones are wrong? Each one I click takes me to the appropriate lore power page. Those were all made with the details from in-game through scripting (very abbreviated version of procedure), so it's what it says in-game.

Click the links at the top of each lore pet table (e.g. "Ally", "Core Ally", etc.) to get to the individual summoning powers with all kinds of awesome information. -
*Started playing under my ex's account
*Opened my own account
*Broke up with my ex, whose account I took over when he stopped playing (I let my own account, now secondary account, lapse)
*Moved out of Toronto back to Iowa
*Survived on dialup for a couple years
*Obtained a sassy barn kitty who is my furry surrogate child
*Convinced one of my friends to play City of Villains with me (he's not much for heroes)
*Stepfather passed away
*Moved to another town in Iowa, obtaining broadband internet again!
*Took a loan out on the newest car I'll probably ever own (three years old at the time! only 25,000 miles!)
*Moved to Seattle to be with the person in point number 7
*Got engaged to the person in points number 7 and 11
*Spent more time on the Paragon Wiki than in the game
*Spent more time on the forums than in the game -
No, there is no way to auto-load different settings on already-established characters. The only time the game auto-loads settings from wdw is upon character creation or during a window load bind/macro/options press.
After typing /wdwsave on both the laptop and desktop, if you're more of a keyboard person, you can change that macro to a bind (e.g. "/bind F12 wdwload") and it'll function the same way but a keypress instead of a mouseclick. -
The collection comes with the old updater which no longer functions, so that part is right (unfortunately).
Right-click your launcher shortcut, select Properties, and check in the Target: line. What does it say there? -
Quote:They started planning Freedom "for reals" about a year ago according to the PAX panel. They only had occasional talks and what-ifs about it before then. They did say that Freedom has been in the making for quite a long time, for years.
Coincidentally, GR launched...with 1-20 content........about a year ago.
Hmm..... -
No, new level pacts will be disabled once "free to play" Freedom goes live. VIPs will have a headstart, and will have access to level pacts during that time. And already-established level pacts will continue to function after the headstart ends.

Quote:I bought all of the booster packs and the only one I don't regularly use pieces out of is the Science pack...but I use the crap out of the cosmetic surgeons, so even that was a great purchase. The martial arts pack in particular I use the robes on a *large* number of characters, they look great as tunics! I also abuse the [[bleeeeeep]] out of Ninja Run.Booster packs were ok and looked more like cash grabs due to lack of wow factor and lack of quality (martial arts pack, anyone?)
Quote:and then they add the Celestial set as a vet reward?! Just what is going on over there??? That set LOOKS amazing and shows what they can do. Hopefully they do it more often. -

What I'd really like to do is be able to craft stacks of things. I've got four damage recipes, with enough salvage to craft them all, with enough enhancement space to hold all the resulting IOs...please give me a "craft all" button.
Of course, please don't put the "craft all" button immediately next to the "craft" button because misclicks happen and you want your interfaces to be user friendly. (Of course, the last several interfaces that have been designed for the game have been ultimately user unfriendly, sooooo... sorta not holding out hope.) -
Type /hide and select one/some of the options:
1. Hide and block all Invite Options
2. Hide from Tells
3. Hide from Global Chat Channels
4. Hide from Global Friends
5. Hide from Server Friends
6. Hide from Supergroup
Or type /hideall (which is like typing /hide and selecting every option, all in one command) and be completely hidden except for someone walking up to your character in the game world. -
Quote:Aside from there being occasional monkey fights, I think Joe Young and Cornelius (operators of the Monkey Fight Club) show up at the Sharkhead one as well. They may be random spawns, or they might be permanent fixtures. I don't remember. You can still walk into the place through a door not far from him. There's not much to see inside though, iirc, just an empty cage, some chairs and such...
To differentiate it from the masses of identical warehouses in Sharkhead, it has a giant monkey (it's literally the size of the door!) "painted" on the side of the building beside the door, with one hand held up, wearing a boxing glove. -
One of my friends exercises WHILE playing City...she sometimes plays on a recumbent bike.

Quote:Sure! I support rogue/vigilante merits! Each one you turn in gives you 60 Reward Merits!Have rogue and vigilante merits? And have something like crucible or fort trident for only rogues and vigilante alignments to go to? And have all people you fight like the rogues you ally with and for vigilante have them them another place.
I know you get like 30 merits the first time you re enforce your rogue/ vigilante alignment and 60 merits for re enforcing your vigilante/rogue alignment afterwards. But to have a choice if you want 60 merits or rogue/vigilante merits would be kinda cool.

Quote:I fixed the Fiery Assault buff. Apparently we somehow missed the Embrace of Fire update on the wiki. The new link is:

Ssssoooo... it just happened to me. Closing the game and restarting didn't fix it. Closing the game and repairing and restarting didn't fix it. Closing the game and restarting fixed it.
??? ??? ??? ???
I have no idea. Honestly. No idea. -
Quote:Positron and War Witch have been here since the beginning. They're the only ones that post on the boards.THIS. I don't think there are many members left who have been here from the begining.
Brian Clayton (executive producer) as well, though he doesn't have a redname and doesn't post on the forums. There are a few other non-redname people as well. -
Ill/Rad and Ill/Arrow is also nasty. I've got this combo with a friend of mine and we just facemelt through everything. (Especially now since my friend has perma PA so mine is just supplemental damage.)

Z_Man, is it OK if I pilfer those images and some of that text, and slap them up on the wiki?

Quote:The Hero Gear Kit was simply the CoH DVD edition without the box (collector's edition, but it wasn't called that, it was called City of Heroes DVD Edition, because the original CoH was on CD(s)).I never said anything about giving them away for free Bill. I said I had no objection if they changed their minds and made them available again. As in making the Hero Gear Kit available for sale again.
My only error was in using the term digital. I forgot the Hero Gear Kit that was sold on the PlayNC online store was a physical item that was mailed to the customer and included a code to unlock the ingame items.
It wasn't anything special. They had a bunch of DVD editions and cannibalized them. They were first sold at meetups and given away as contest prizes, then sold on the NCsoft store (that's where I got mine) until they (almost) sold out. They still have a few, because AFAIK they have been sold at HeroCons at the "out of game market". (Although I don't think they were available at the last one, which wasn't a HeroCon but a big meetup.) -
Quote:Not sure how you could misread that.
"Get 12 per server, plus slots that were unlocked or directly purchased."
Any slots you've purchased, you get to keep to reassign. Any slots you've earned through veteran rewards, you get to keep to reassign. Any slots you've earned otherwise, you get to keep to reassign.

Quote:Not even David Nakayama (Noble Savage) has been a static member. He left and came back and left and came back (possibly "and left and came back" again, I am not 100% sure). He hasn't been employed by Cryptic/Paragon/NCsoft this whole time.Lothic, I'd stand firmly behind any of your post if the design and dev team (or even just the community reps) for this game have remained static for years. They haven't. Between leaving Cryptic, forming Paragon Studios, Recluse and others leaving after CoV coming out, other great devs unfortunately being let go/resigning, we've had a bit of a revolving door.
The only static members who have maintained any kind of forum presence, at least off the top of my head here, are Noble Savage, Positron, and WarWitch at times. And I think Posi and WW had a lot on their plate, so them not remember every suggestion made on these forums, no matter how great or how important any one of us thinks it was, would make sense. And Noble isn't part of the dev teams that would be used to do these things.
So that's why there is no Dev Hive Mind and also why we keep seeing comments like that pop up from rednames. -
Quote:And as it has been said already (several times) and ignored:Unless you know specifically where the CoV pre-order box came from, snagging the helmets you want will be a crapshoot.
IF YOU APPLY ONE PRE-ORDER CODE, YOU ARE UNABLE TO APPLY ANY OTHER PRE-ORDER CODES. YOU CAN ONLY GET ONE PRE-ORDER HELMET PER ACCOUNT. You can get all four helmets in the veteran/paragon rewards program. -
Just for completeness' sake, if the person is posting on the forum, their account is active. Only active account holders can post on the forum.
(And for more completeness: After Freedom, if the person is posting on the forum, they are a VIP subscriber - freemie/preemie can't post.)
