We've all seen people offer 'services' for inf like base building, crafting, xp obtainment, builds and the like. I really don't see the difference between offering those things and offering a name.

I imagine that people will say that it is the uniqueness of the name that is of issue here. That if the OP is squatting on these names then they aren't available to anyone else who would "actually" use them. If this is true, then isn't there a demand for these names? However, from most of the posts in this thread and others like it people mock the names for sale saying they are unoriginal and they wouldn't touch them with a ten foot pole. If so, than the names have no value and who cares if he is squatting on them.
Can someone please explain to me why it is so offensive to offer to sell/trade a name?

Plus, at this point, with Mids already existing, why would Paragon devote all the time it would take to create a new tool just to do what Mids already does for free?

People don't have all the time in the world to sit down and play a game. Less alone sit down, learn another program to learn how to build a character for PvP, ask for advice, realize they made mistakes, have to respec their character again, slot it just right, then go back to playing to only find out that they wasted countless hours farming for the 28 billion dollar pvp character they just made.
Believe me I have done it and I'm still doing it but the thought has crossed my mind again... Should I leave this game again and see if they will fix it another 2 years from now?
Yeah, as for the developers coming up with flying carpets and fireworks...Really? Did the PvP community ask for this? Oh the majority asked for this... wait! Did the majority ask for this? Nah I think its marketing over riding developers at this point, and all of us are buying straight into it. Yeah maybe its time to shoot the dead horse one last time

So, What is City of Heroes doing to help players maximize their knowledge about the very game they have produced for their customers ?
I don't see CoH coming up with a hero planner for us. -
I dig my DM/FA brute too. I was wondering if you have a Mids build that can farm & PvE. I went with DM/FA/Fire I spent about a billion on the build and he holds up pretty good on lvl 54 fire cave farms but still needs inspirations to hold up and in PvE goes down pretty fast.
Any help would be great. Oh, and what incarnates should a brute of this nature go with?

Ok, I called for support & the only thing they told me is to try running the game in safe mode.
Before I was able to play the game at 1265 x 800 or higher res but now the game will only show up in safe mode 800x600 res.
I don't understand why it was working fine before at a higher res & now only works in safe mode 2 weeks after GR went live.
If I set the res to be higher than 800x600 I'll get a black screen in window & full screen mode. -
Our team last night took out all the IO'd blasters, scrappers, PBs, stalkers, & controllers in Siren's Call.
We killed everyone in sight, & fast.
At one point I said to the team, " This team here just killed the game"
For real, it was amazing & sad at the same time.
I'm all for mixing up the ATs but man with the right combo, & maybe with good team work you can finish the game

When I was able to get on and play I would run the game full screen. I also would pop out of full screen mode and play in window mode to see who is on ventrilo, check website for badges, etc...

I think PvPers should start a PvP Community on their own. A helpful PvP channel without all the BS talk. 3 Strikes you are out of the PvP community.
I know a lot of people that would like to PvP but don't because they don't know how to build a toon with IOs. How about NCSoft build a Mids for their customers, for both PC & Mac users.
Also, they don't have the money to craft IOs so this leads to more farming. I do like the Hero & Villain reward merits idea to help solve this issue.
Just my thoughts on the fix. By the way, great ideas guys!! Keep them coming. -
OK, I'm a Mac user and I don't have MiDs. So, I can't build one with MiDs to get the build started to talk about. If anyone has a build they would like to share with me that would be AWESOME!!

I run a Thug/Traps (Alto) in Siren's Call from time to time. The way I play my MM is setting up traps and using TP foe. Sometimes I'll just web the target send in pets and hover over to finish the kill. You will need to make some binds or macros for your pets.
If you like this style of play it can be tons of fun & it can get boring once all the heroes leave the zone They just get tired of getting TP'd into my traps. Now be careful, once you start TPing them they will log off and get their TPer and do the same to you

Anyone have a good ele/kin corr build they would like to share with us? I too would like to build a sapper. So far he drains pretty good with just SOs
So, if someone could build it on mids, or share ideas on how to build one for Siren's Call, RV, & arena that would be great.(Even PvE builds) Thank You!! -

Anyway, that's my 2 cents. I really don't get interested in anything with City of Heroes until its released. We all see right through the unanswered questions, and the lame responses. I much rather hear " I'm sorry, I can't answer that". :P

What are the other ways Mac users can use Mids Hero Designer?
I know of bootcamp but I really don't want to buy Bootcamp & Windows. It might be cheaper just to get a used PC just to use Mids :P
Its frustrating to us Mac users that can't build a toon with out this program. Is there anything else out there? Maybe something City of Heroes should put out there for their clients that pay every month. Just saying!! Thanks for your post. -
