Elec/kin/mu as a sapper?
If you're talking about PVE - Yes. My elec/kin can solo EBs with minimal threat by bringing their end down to the point that they can only use their least damaging attacks is crucial. Not to mention you will have a little friend (Volt Sentinel) tagging them pretty frequently. Also, if you're going to sap, don't forget to slot a lil bit of End Mod into your heal, since it also has a -end effect on the enemy target
Soloing EBs might not sound like much, but this is not something my own fire/rad could do easily.
I questioned whether Mu Mastery was necessary on an elec/kin. Power Sink doesn't do much that Transference can't cheaper and faster. Power Conservation doesn't hurt, but again - you have Transference available. I've never liked the Mu hold, but I suppose having a Mu Pet for more sapping isn't a bad idea either (althogh I didn't opt for it on mine).
PVP -- don't know, don't do it much.
EDIT: Hey, btw, I liked your design on Guerra Nuclearra in the Virtue forum "Post yr Character" thread.

Sapping can work, but after lvling up both a Elec/Elec, Elec/Kin and a Kin/Elec, I have to say the best way to make it work is to work with another sapper. Get a friend to lvl pact you with a pair of Elec/Kins, it will make a great duo.
This won't function nearly as well as a defender-based sapper will, because Corrupters have a lower coefficient for the innate endurance drains from your powers. My advice is to go blueside then go rogue if you want to play a sapper red-side.

Red Tomax says Transference does 60% for Corrupters instead of 55% for Defenders, but I'd want to confirm that in game. Either way, a Corrupter will sap as well as a Defender. Having tried a Elec/Elec Blaster and a Kin?Elec Defender to 50, I'd say Kin/Elec worked better. So go for it, an Elec/Kin Corrupter should sap as well as the best of them.
The main advantage a Defnder has is getting Transference at 26 instead of 35.
If you want to venture outside the /kin box, I've had fun with an elec/rad/mu sapper. I haven't tried any PvP (nor do I care to) but for PvE, it works well. On teams, I can spread the debuffs around along with a nice buff in AM (and the rez is appreciated too). Sapping is kind of pointless when teamed because the typical spawn won't last very long.
Solo, I run +1/4 usually and the sapping is nice. Hasten/AM is popped, I jump in, EMP the spawn, toss a debuff or two, use my two AoE's for damage and sapping, and then fill my bar to the brim with Power Sink. I focus on the boss in the spawn and the little guys tend to get killed off with the AoE's that I throw. I don't know if it counts for anything, but those electric shots tend to make the mobs have seizures so while they're doing that, they're not hitting you with whatever endurance they have left.
I have an elec/kin at 36 that has been fun sapping too but I seem to have more fun with this guy. Just a thought if you don't have your heart set on /kin.
I have and elec/kin/leviathan build I play as a sapper in PvP.
True, defenders do have much better debuff numbers, and I'm not exactly wowing ppl with damage, but it does what it's built to do. To offset the lower-recovery numbers I frankenslot transfusion with heal and end drain. Spamming that actually does wonders to keep the high recovery toons down in endurance along with your electric powers and the end drain spike from transference.

I have a Elec/Kin/Soul that works wonders as a sapper. With power boost Transferance & short Circuit, I can sap bosses and below with one application. I also like combining Soul storm with tesla Cage. Really locks a single target down.
Anyone have a good ele/kin corr build they would like to share with us? I too would like to build a sapper. So far he drains pretty good with just SOs
So, if someone could build it on mids, or share ideas on how to build one for Siren's Call, RV, & arena that would be great.(Even PvE builds) Thank You!!
OK, I'm a Mac user and I don't have MiDs. So, I can't build one with MiDs to get the build started to talk about. If anyone has a build they would like to share with me that would be AWESOME!!
Thanks!!
I have an elec/kin/physic. Only 43 atm with SO's, IO's and no sets yet. Transference and short circuit both have 3 endmod SO's.
SC will drain about 70% of an entire groups end, followed by Ball Lightning(not slotted for endmod) removes another 8% end from what it hits. Transference drains a lot bosses. Considering before they got sapped, they were slept then fulcrum'ed, what ever does hit me isnt hitting hard and SC will get the rest of the end on the recharge.
With VS, ball lightning and lightingbolt, (3 dmg SO's in each atm) both scourging on the <50% mobs, while removing any lingering/regening end, things die fairly quickly.
Sapping is not required for groups built to kill things extremely fast, but when killing groups that require longer to kill(and AV's), sapping end is a highly effective layer of protection, that will make healers happy, since they can do more than heal. Sapping can be very dangerous with large pulls and not a lot of taunt to go around, be careful.
I love the elec/kin combo. Kin is so intense, being able to drop VS, balllightning and short circuits as my main dps, while healing/buffing/debuffing/sapping/recovering is quite nice.
Basically I'm wondering how effective building a sapper is anymore. Been thinking about rolling a /kin ruptor anyway, and combining it with elec/mu seems to make sense.
.
Is sapping much use anymore in terms of mitigation? I know most mobs' attacks have very low end costs, so I'm not sure if it's something that is effective anymore or not.
