Let us assume, for a moment, that a given Freebie Friday item is a costume piece.
And that the costume piece is one the player doesn't have.
But it is part of a costume set.
Were the player to get the piece and later decide they want the set... would they be prevented from getting the discounted set because they already have a piece from the set? -
Not impossible, but complicated.
Move kinda like Ninja Run. When you jump, at the point you would do a flip, it instead hides your cape ( if any ), and the power adds the billowy cape you're looking for. Whether it can match the color of the cape in the power to your costume's back slot would be the complicated part. -
Quote:She looks remarkably like someone I know, but with less tattoos. Here, my favorite picture I took. It's Pollyanna Matronic with a stuffed Observer and an invention cube, both (if I'm not mistaken) created by Rei.

1 Balloon tied to your back.
A massive UP style bunch of balloons tied to your back.
Balloon path aura. As you run or fly, balloons are released from behind you and float away.
Bubble aura. Little soap bubbles.
And a path aura version.
Luchadore masks.
Parasols, umbrellas, and canes as Mace weapon options.
Parasols, umbrellas, and canes as Assault Rifle weapon options.
Eyeball aura. Eyeballs floating around your bady. ( Physical-looking, not insubstantial like the runes and such ) Perhaps with two versions, one with a single eyeball, the other with a bunch. -
Quote:This!A giant eyeball as a head. Useful for Rularuu-themed characters. Or fans of the Residents.
Both with and without hats.
Garden shears for Dual Blades
Sports-themed helmets and head gear.
A motorcycle, for use with Titan Weapons.
Camera for a head.
Serpentine arms. And a snake-head for hands. -
Considering the game is free, everything costs more than the game itself.

I don't mind 500 points for the dog, as it is funding the development of a rig for 4-legged critters.
At some point, this will lead to an animal-master Mastermind set.
You'll have my points once I get paid. -

Quote:I bet the conversation went something like this:What I wonder is if there was single dev going "I can't wait till the Undead Survival Kit goes live. Playing with this is going to be awesome!"
Dev1: "Crap, Titan Weapons isn't ready! What do we do?"
Dev2: "That's the day after Halloween, lets throw together some temp powers and stuff and call it a set for zombie apocalypse survivers."
Dev1:

Quote:How about a power-tools Ancillary Power Pool...Or maybe all we need is a double-handed chainsaw option - supersized for Titan Weapons / less obnoxiously sized for katanas - complete with aggravating sound loop?
I'd pay for that, or a one-handed option of the same for Dual blades and Broadsword. And maybe a big-huge-obnoxious circle saw blade for a shield option, too.
<Looks at everyone as they back away from me>
NOW what?!?
More could/should be done with the Power Pools. There are many things that might not merit a whole power set, but would make an awesome 4-5 power Pool... -
You all realize, I assume, that just because you are not the target market of this item, that doesn't mean it shouldn't be a featured item...
It'd have been better if last week's item, and this week's item were swapped though.
( If it had a chainsaw power, I'd totally buy it. ) -

Gunslinger costume set.
Circle of Thorns costume set part II.
Random Citizen NPC costume power. ( 600 points )
Quiver costume piece. ( 1200 points )
Halloween Trial. -
I would be running around an office building in a blind panic 24/7.

I don't think it is too high... they can charge whatever they want... they just won't be getting any $ or points out of me at this rate.
-
I made a Beam/Time Corruptor called Mr. President.
He looks like Abe Lincoln with the Steampunk backpack. -
Quote:Then don't buy anything and let the 400 points/month you get as a VIP accumulate.Everything that I would have bought is simply priced too high for me to choke down buying. Everything that is priced... you know... in the MICROtransaction price bracket is stuff I don't need or can do without.
Or you eventually decide that since you've got the points anyway, might as well get something. -
You do realize that any of their Frappacinos can be made without coffee, don't you? In essence, turning it into just a flavored blended iced milk.

I failed to get the name The Judge, as that is what my main, Iron Judge, was supposed to have been called. So he'll stay in Virtue.
But I did manage to snag Apotheosis, Rudra, and Mindfire. -
Quote:My guess... the other way around. That's why we get pacts in head start then they go away after launch: they are fine with VIPs having them, but not so much with Premium and Free players being beneficiaries of them for some reason.
They don't want some VIP paying a RMT'er to create a free account and power-level their character up to 50 without them even having to be logged on to play. -
*wanders in with an afternoon cup of coffee*
Hello everyone. Happy Tuesday.
*missiles blow up on Arkham's head, knocking him prone.*
Ouch!
Not a redname! Someone needs to check the targeting systems on these things. -
*crouching down behind a concrete wall*
Its a bit loud in here this morning. How y'all doing?
Anyone seen the coffee and pamcakes?
